"I did order the BoatBuckle G2 retractable transom tie-downs 21st of Oct to my hotel room in NY, where i stayed for 6 nights. I declared how long I am going to stay there and gave clear instructions about the delivery. I received immediately a nice order confirmation from Phil and also an ordertrack link. I checked every day the status from the link and started to worry about the delivery. Then I emailed the last 3 days to their service and sales about the status of my order without getting any answer from them. I am now back in Finland and check my Visa account, there is a reservation of my order amount from Lake Powell Marine Electronics. I am going to contact Visa credit bank to prevent the money transfer to them. So I warn people to do any business with that company."

"As far as I can see these folks are the worst on line seller I have ever seen. I ordered mapping software from them on June 2. Today is June 12 and, while I received acknowledgement and billing immediately, I have not received the product. Their link to "track" your order does not lead anywhere. They have no real address or phone number so this must be some guy's garage. Other people seem to have gotten things from them, but my intent is to report them as fraud to the state authorities. If I can ever figure out how to do it I will also report them to the Yahoo Shopping Network who hosts their website and apparently colludes in hiding the identity and real address of this "business". My advice: stay away from these folks. As an earlier reviewer said: it does not happen often, but there is online fraud out there. "

"I would not buy from Lake Powell Marine Electronics again. After placing my order on 8/23/06 Phil emailed me once that because I used a visa gift card he needed the billing address verified. Although I emailed him several times with the billing address, offered to use a different credit card, and asked him to call me, I got no response. Then I found him on the Utah BBB and Buyers Beware List. I contacted Yahoo Shopping on 10/5 and got the assistance I needed through them."

"I echo everything that has been said recently about these guys. I also purchased a 60CSx. Garmin has instituted price fixing. Retailers are not allowed to charge less than Garmin's determined amount. To counteract this anti-competitive pricing, Lake Powell has come up with a creative solution - free overnight shipping and a very nice sized gift card which easily compensates for the difference between what Garmin forces them to charge and what Lake Powell was originally charging. "I found myself in the same boat as many other customers trying to preorder the new Garmin GPS map60csx. However, I had found a store that sold them for a few bucks cheaper and went that way. Garmin didn't like the price that all these sellers were using so they demanded that they increase it or else they may lose their dealers license. The company I went through gave me the choice to either cancel my order or pay the almost 100 extra bucks to reorder the product. I canceled because I thought I was not getting a fair price. I read on a geocaching site that Phil at Lake Powell was honoring the presale price so I contacted him and he gave me the price before the increase. I can't say how much I appreciate his action. Not only did he answer my emails quickly but he was thinking about the customer instead of himself. I would not think twice about buying anything from Phil."
