However, I've had several instances where I brought a concern to the director and felt dismissed and that's very disheartening. She comes across as defensive rather than wanting to help make a situation right. Not all situations can be made perfect, but at least feeling like I'm being heard and considered is important."

"We feel that sometimes the staff--primarily the management--talks to us as though we are the children. The tone is a little patronizing. We've been frustrated by teacher turn-over, as it seems like the school can't retain the teachers that have been the best for our child. I do feel that the teachers and staff, in general, have a positive relationship with our child, and he has learned an incredible amount while enrolled. They do an excellent job at education and life skills, and we are grateful to have the school so close to our house. I will say that there is one staff member who we have had issues with, including feeling like she took pleasure in telling us that our child had misbehaved. She doesn't seem to be trained in early childhood education, and I often hear her yelling at the children. She seems to be a generally rough person, but my child has indicated more than once that he feels she is deliberately mean to him, and while he is only 5 years old, I believe him because I have observed that behavior in her myself. I wish the school would identify the source of the turnover, and I wouldn't mind a tuition increase if it meant that I had absolute faith in the abilities and nature of all the staff who interact with my child. Overall, however, we are very happy with the experience we've had at LPA, and we are happy that we chose this school instead of the other neighborhood school. We appreciate what our son has learned and the social experiences he has received."

"My tour was not great. Dingy center, high teach to student ratio's, only one teacher per classroom which raises safety concerns, and they did not have any of the accreditation the website stated they would have or be working towards. Overall a complete disappointment."
"Extremely negative. Teachers and leaders are unprofessional, and very trashy when it comes to communication. Teachers are very rude to kids and bark them around as if they were animals. They have no patient with kids at all. They give you attitude when speaking to them. They are completely untrautworthy."
