The teachers are warm and caring and we really love some of them and feel our children are safe there. We also love the racial and ethnic diversity of the staff, it brings a lot of culture to the school. "Child care seems like a tough industry. It seems difficult to retain staff. I have kind of given up on learning the names of new staff members until they have been there for at least three months. I often don't know the names of the people I drop my kids off with or pick them up from. That said, the teachers who do stay and who are lead teachers in both of my kids classes are fabulous - they clearly put their heart and soul into these kids and I can't thank them enough. I REALLY appreciate Tammy's work to make improvements throughout the school and there have been many over the past year. It is AWESOME to see the kids learning how to compost and recycle. It is so important to reduce the waste we send to the landfill. I would love to see the kids using reusable cups/plates/bowls/dining ware every day to reduce the waste further. I love the additional STEM learning tools she has brought to the school as well as the increased focus on safety with cameras and the new school safety officer. Parking is really tough at this location, but she has tried to improve that as well. I believe she is interested in gardening on site which I'd be happy to help with. She has also brought more opportunities for parents to interact with the school. Thank you!"

"Onboarding both children was a challenge - there was no communication or level of comfort provided especially for then 1 year old. Teachers have been great however, turn over is not communicated and can be disruptive to the children when not communicated properly."

"Great, caring teachers. Would be nice to have like a flyer to take home with here's what to expect when transitioning to the toddler room or something. Because my husband does p/u and I do drop off, it's hard to know what he hears from the teachers and vice versa. Also at p/u some teachers give minimal info on how our child did that day. Like they don't even know when the kid last slept or ate. Would be nice to have more info."

"This school lingers between being good and bad have good periods when classes are organzied and you decide to stay and other periods of terabil lack of teachers and total no activity or learning all goeas chaose. It became like you just dont leave the kid on the street you pay just for keeping kids safe somewhere in walls no teaching no singing no even qualty playing its just a tray and some play doagh or a paper and some colorings... director havent been doing great by being extremely strickt and bad with teachers it reflects back on the kids noticed that teachers are literally afraid of here and they accept her shutting off a whole class because it had only 5 kids and mixed with preschool class, when we ask teachers why they say we know its wrong and supper crowedy but we cant say anything to director its her orders? Dont recommend this place for any one its over priced for the quality of everything that they offer even the food"

"I really enjoy taking my daughter to this school. I think everyone is professional and friendly. I love that the school provides food and diapers and lots of toys. I would like to see an updated weekly plan of activities to be more aware of what my daughter is learning and how we can support that at home. We wish there was an environment more conducive for naps but also understand that a lot of regulation prevents this."

"The people there are generally very caring and we feel our children are safe there which is very important. We know child care is very difficult work and we deeply appreciate the commitment and love of the staff. There are issues with the teacher to child ratio in the morning though these seem to be improving in recent months. Drop off can be hard because it can be with a different person many days of the week and that is tough for shy kids. I would really like to see the school serving organic food and using recycling, compost and eating ware that isn't made of plastic. We need to teach our kids to care for the environment from an early age. Many schools in Kirkland are making a point of these practices and it's becoming a standard expectation of child care to include environmental education and sustainable practices on site.
