"The new director, Lisa, seems to be doing great things. There has still been a lot of turnover and some classrooms seem to be better than others but I think she really seems to care. Lisa has been incorporating changes to this location and some have been at the parents’ suggestion which shows she listens. Most teachers seem really engaged, others seem disgruntled and, if it shows at dropoff and pickup, I’m sure it impacts the kids during the day. Those engaged teachers make it worth staying. The constant turnover is a concern for sure but, LaPetite’s constant increases and asking for money and the perception that the company itself cares more about money than kids is why I wouldn’t recommend to others."

"In general the experience had been great. The turn over in directors is a bit concerning though. I am also concerned about how long it has taken to get a new director in place after the last one left."

"We had a struggle with the previous director, Anna Turmail who recently left the company. We are hoping to get another Director that is more caring and open minded and doesn’t treat the families like business transactions only. I’d like to see additional training and certifications for teachers to be able to handle social/emotional/behavioral issues, autism, ADHD children."

"The last year has been very frustrating. Constant turnover of staff and less qualified teachers replacing long time teachers with lots of experience. On top of that the cost keeps rising and there are always unexpected fees (summer activity, raising tuition, enrollment fee). Very frustrating to feel like the cost keeps going up and the quality keeps going down."

"We had a lot of confidence in Shannon, but Anna is the opposite. Anna is not engaging. She’s much more comfortable being sequestered in her office. She doesn’t display much leadership; other than her title it would be hard to tell that she’s in charge. Shannon was clearly in charge, confident and was the leader. Anna’s sincerity appears superficial; when she says Hi it doesn’t carry much sincerity or come across as genuine - she’s just checking the box. Overall, she lacks interpersonal skills and comes across as distant and disinterested. Erin is great and represents the company well! Have you considered her for the Director position?"

"I wish teachers were help to a higher standard. This seems to have fallen off with the new director along with the use of an app verses the forced interaction daily with parents to get the daily sheets. Now teachers have no interest in speaking with parents let alone strike up a friendly conversation or find it in their hearts to simple say hello, good morning, have a nice day ....."

"Really, I've been disappointed. I love the leadership at the school but they have people who are not educators or have any education. La Petite markets themselves as a academy which gives a false impression of it focus is on education, but the staff themselves are not educated. Again, hard to accept high prices for an academy when it really is no different than any other daycare."

"I think my children are provided a safe, loving environment. I never worry about how well they're being taken care of. I feel like my older child is learning a lot and will be prepared for K. I am frustrated with the increase in tuition. I am paying almost $100/week more for my youngest compared to when my older boy started 2 years ago. If prices continue to increase at this rate we may be looking at other options."
