"Most of the teachers are nice. some do not seem to care. I have come to pick my daughter up mult times where she is screaming and hungry. The feeding time was pushed back because they knew we would arrive soon, however my expectation is that when the baby is hungry, she should he fed."

"I really love La Petite. Thea is always so happy to be there and as a new mother it's important to me that she's in a place where she feels safe and loved. Brightwheel is an amazing way for me to keep up to date on everything that's going on in her day. I appriciate how friendly and interactive every single person that works there is. It really feels like a family and it has made my transition back to work so much smoother."

"The school has an empathy problem. You can find it with individual people (2 to be exact), but upon entering the establishment there is no feeling of happiness, engagement with the parents or even a How are you doing; Have a nice Day; How is Johnny doing today anything we should know.. this type of engagement is a foreign concept. Additionally, I would like for a more focused and intensified teaching of the curriculum. My son doesn't come home and sing his ABC's or talk about colors or numbers.. he has shown a new knowledge of shapes but that was randomly discovered. The teachers don't really brief you on what the days curriculum will be about and what they learned everyday. We do find out everyday if there were in a picture showing activities such as drawing and painting all good but that's summer camp, I'm looking for preparation for elementary school at the least. Also I know they have really small kids but that place smells horrible sometimes. Finally, I recommend they adopt a rotating security monitor so there isn't any Piggy-back issues with someone coming into the door that we don't know. I don't feel great about the security in that location as well."

"Generally good. It was very obvious there were staff/ employee issues which were constantly being discussed right as you enter the building. I felt like I was walking into a gossip session everyday, then they quiet down when I come in like I’m interrupting their gossip. There was no communication when we transitioned to another class, it just happened. Everyone is very caring and sincere. It just seemed a little unprofessional at times. We enjoyed the smaller class size and prepared meals and snacks"

"The building exterior lacks. The staff is always on point to say hello and be open and welcoming for conversation. Adding a 2 tier entrance is ideal rather than single door access to all children. It has happened that no one has been at the front door."

"Overall really good. I would like to see progress reports periodically to see how much he has learned. Some staff post amazing updates daily so we can ask about our Children's day while others dont communicate anything at all."

"Just some thoughts if you are thinking of sending your loved ones to La Petite on Himes Ave. In Frederick. My daughter had gotten numerous phone calls that her son had bitten someone. Fine, I understand, he can't verbalize everything. I also understand that he would also get bit. What I fail to comprehend is he had a plain large bite on his inner wrist that no one knew about. He also got bit ON THE FACE, leaving a permanent scar, and no one knew how it got there! Today was his last day there and was dropped off at 7:00 AM. Kelsey picked him up at 4:00 PM. Guess what? He had the SAME DIAPER ON THE NEARLY 9 HOURS HE WAS THERE!! How do we know? It was a Pampers diaper and La Petite uses an off brand called "Cuties". Use caution if you choose to use this day care center. There were times that Kelsey would get calls that her son ran outside to the playground. Why wasn't the door locked? Instead, Kelsey got phone calls that he ran out. Who was watching him? These are my thoughts on this center and our experience. More staff training definitely needs to be done on conflict resolution. Too many of them are very young and not experienced with small children. Also, zero assistance with potty training. When I asked about it, Alison just shrugged and said they work with them if they show an interest. They did nothing to back us up on what we were doing at home."
