"My child’s temperament has changed due to another child in the classroom being physically aggressive with her. She’s suddenly hitting and grabbing us at home, which she’s never done before. She’s more easily agitated, annoyed, and restless at times. My husband mentioned that she even cries some mornings at drop off. Its highly concerning, because although she’s always been a daycare baby, we’ve never experienced these behaviors from her while dropping her off or picking her up from daycare. We know that its not separation anxiety because she does fine and is eager to attend daycare at church, and also left in the care of family/friends.Quite frankly, our family’s relationship with office staff is none like we’ve ever experienced. We’re extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism. Customer service is extremely important. Having previous experience in childcare management, I fully understand the power of professionalism, or lack thereof, on an establishment."
"School still requires cosmetic repairs. On the outside, the School requires a fresh coat of paint and repairs to rotting wood exterior. The roof also needs to be completely re-shingled previous patching over the years to stop leaks only make the roofs unsightly. Also recommend allowing parents to get involved to enhance landscaping around the school. On the inside, the new flooring recently laid a few months ago is already pealing up near the kitchen door inside the preschool room. Still need fresh painting in a few classrooms. If corporate truly cares about this center, its families attending and wants to attract more, then corporate need to spend some money to makover this center. It is really the only way to really compete against other daycare center in the area that were either recently built or remodeled. The Director is awesome and the staff are great but this alone doesn't always get new families in the door."
"I don’t like how every year hours around the holidays change-the whole point of using the center is because school is closed and we still have to work regular hours. Also don’t like that they still close so early in the day and haven’t gone back to the regular hours"
"I have had 3 chdren go to the same La Petite Academy in Dumfries, VA since 2014 and I love the staff and the director there. Lately the school is having trouble with enrolling new families. This isn't due to the director or staffs efforts as I see perspective families touring almost daily. I feel the enrollment issue is a direct result of the school needing some repairs and the unwillingness of LA Petite Inc. (and the Learning Group) to spend money for needed repairs (maybe a full remodel) of the Dumfries school. The Dumfies , VA school has excellent potential and a is in a great location, it just needs the TLC from of LA Petite Inc. Hq (and the Learning Group) and the families will enroll."
"From the moment we transitioned to La Petite we were immediately welcomed with open arms. Dad has been gone for the past 10months (Active Duty Military) and our son has developed behavior problems because of this along with following friends who were teaching him not so good things. We wanted a fresh start and a chance for him to make new friends. Here at La Petite everyone daily welcomes us and gives our son love on his food and not so good days. We have loved everyday we have joined this school. I’m thankful for everyone. The PreK2 staff are truly amazing and we are grateful and thankful to have them!"
"I work in education and I can see how everything is just disorganized. There is no communication from teachers to parents. My husband says he doesn’t even know who the teacher is because every time he come to pick up no one greets him or talk about our kids day. Also you can see in the live stream how teacher can’t keep up with that many kids and she just lets them play all day."
"The baby, infant and toddler care here is ok. After that I feel as if I'm paying more than my mortgage every month for the only thing my child to learn is bad behavior."
"I am very appreciative on the school personnel. My child started during a hard time for me and it was hard for me to leave him with some of the anxiety and light depression during that time. The staff was very supportive and accommodating. They reassured me that he will adjust in time and the love and care that they provided David has made him feel safe, comfortable and happy in the enviroment and among his teachers. I will always have love for the staff and they dedication to the students and parents. A big thank you!"

"The staff doesn't seem to care about anyone individually. My son constantly comes home with diaper rashes, indicating he is not changed often enough. When I have an issue, I either receive a response after a long period of time or not at all. Every time I look at the video feed, the children are running around. There is no structure, no curriculum. I witness children hitting each other while the teacher is changing another child, unable to do anything about it (if they even notice). And I've seen teachers without masks."
