"My family has had an exceptional experience with La Petite Academy. As a stay-at-home mom during COVID, my son didn't have as many opportunities to socialize as many of his peers who started daycare at a younger age. My husband and i were nervous about how my son would transition to a new environment without us at 2.5 years old, especially with his baby sister arriving a month after he started school. The teachers and staff at La Petite were so welcoming, open, and attentive to his needs. He was very shy at first and attached himself to his teachers but over time he came out of his shell and would exclaim yay! as I pulled into the parking lot to drop him off. He's made friends, learned new routines, engaged in new activities, and has altogether thrived. Even if he's sad to say goodbye to mom in the morning, it only lasts about 30 seconds and at pick up he's a completely different child, full of energy and not eager to leave. We've so appreciated all the many benefits he's been afforded at this school!"

"The quality of care has gone down. While we understand staffing shortages and Covid have happened, the overall friendliness and caring features of all staff have diminished. "Our son was enrolled in La Petite when our previous provider was suddenly unable to continue providing care. We were scrambling and panicked! We were referred to La Petite of Crystal Lake and the organization worked hard to make accommodations for our family in a timely and efficient manner. The transition for him was difficult but the staff went above and beyond to make him feel loved and welcomed. We have never worried about his emotional well being while he is in the care of Miss Sam or Miss Savana. He is excited, eager and happy at drop off and pick up each day. We have noticed that his speech and socialization have grown so much over the last 2 months and we know that is due to the influence of his teachers and peers at school.
