We have partnered with staff and the various directors that have come we have provided refferences for the faciity when called upon to help potential parents see its a good environment. So these criticisms are not imagined but well founded from a truly concerned family. My younger daughter is not getting the same quality experience my older one got...and thats a shame."

"While the staff was personable, one of my biggest concerns was regarding a staff member who clearly entered the building after smoking. The entire reception area was filled with 3rd hand smoke. I think this is unacceptable and no children should be exposed to 3rd hand smoke at their daycare. I would like an investigation into this because this person's choices will impact the childrens' health. Also, materials were not readily available, the visitor log lacked fresh pages (and none were printed when staff was alerted - I just wrote at the bottom of a full page), and furniture and rugs were stained and in need of cleaning or replacement."

"I only gave the parking lot/outdoor area a 5 because of the growing potholes at the street entrance. They have been there since the summer and I'm hoping they are patched before things get icy. Play areas and building entry look good to us. We love the school, the teachers and the environment for our child. I have heard from friends that the curriculum here is more advanced than area pre-k programs, and that my daughter will have more preparedness for kindergarten. We are comfortable speaking with any teacher or director; they are always accessible and accommodating."

"I spoke to a person on the phone explaining I really needed child care and they assured me that they had openings. My husband rushed back from DC so we could all tour the center together . When we arrived no one answered the door for 10 min. A parent offered to get a staff member after no one helped us. The staff member refused to give us a tour because she said there were no openings. She said the phone operators have no idea if a center is full or not and they just assign people tours. My son really wanted to come in and the staff could see that . She could have offered a mini tour just so my son could have a look. The phone operator told me to bring my son to the tour so when he couldn't look around it upset him and hurt his feelings. He is 6. I guess the bottom line is I don't want ignorant people who can't understand or be sensitive to the needs of children watching my kid or not watching . Obviously they don't care and it's just a business to them."

We appreciate everything that the school has done for our daughter.We believe that the school has been run very well from Jennifer as the director to Charnetta. The transition was seamless and we appreciate how quickly Charnetta filled the role of director without any issues. We also appreciate the consistency of Andrea and her dedication to the school. The teachers have been very influential and offer honest feedback for our child. The main teachers in our daughter's life have been LaPriya Young, Jenny Holt, Tyshawnn Neil, Jessica, Ms Patty, and Ashley. All have been wonderful to talk with and help our daughter grow. We appreciate their service and level of professionalism."

"School aged programs need to improve immensely. Part of my negative feedback has been a result of the previous director. Current for had a mess on her hands and I know change takes time. Unfortunately, the changes to the school aged area isn't happening at the rate that needs to happen. The area truly lacks creativity in engaging the children and making it fun for the kids."
