"Awful communication from the director. She and the other admin lady will give conflicting information on almost any question you ask them, from payments, to holidays, to incidents. They take no parent concerns seriously, only makes excuses for even severe complaints. I have seen them breaking student to teacher ratio set by the state several times. My 2 year old's class often had 14-16 children in it at a time with only one teacher. The state ratio is 11:1 for this age. They would even occasionally send a video of the class and I could see them breaking ratio. You can't log into cameras during the day, I'm sure because they don't want to get caught breaking rules. Teachers are always screaming at the kids. The place is chaotic, dirty, and all the kids there are sick year round. When I told them that I'd rather they call me if my child was burning up to the touch and obviously sick, they started calling me any time my child so much as sneezed, just to be passive aggressive. I have never encountered such vindictive women in a childcare industry in my life. Final straw for me was when a little boy, maybe 3 years old, had a door slammed into him and his nose and mouth began bleeding profusely. He was obviously distraught. He ran up to me and collapsed in my arms, hyper-ventilating. The teacher yelled at him to get off me and snatched him up by his shirt. I had to approach the kid and bring him some tissues for his nose bleed and try to calm him down. At that time there were more than 20 kids under 5 years old in one room with one teacher, yes I stopped and counted. This place needs to be shut down and the administration fired immediately. If you try to call and complain you get a call center in India, so I doin't see any major changes coming until someone's child is seriously injured. You absolutely get what you pay for."
"Caretakers for older kids are good. Beverly is awesome, consistent and firm. Employees park on building side instead of across the parking lot making parents cross the lot with small children. High traffic on dark mornings and rainy days are issues for parents when employees are parked in the spots by the building. Employees should park by the road instead of making numerous children walk across a dark parking lot. Parking lot is too dark, no lighting to ensure safety, not even signage lighting making entries hard to see. "
"I have had a pretty bad experience here. I will be leaving this daycare soon. The teachers don't seem to actually care about the well being of your child, just the paycheck they get from yelling at your kids. I have a very well behaved child and when she comes home from day care she has an attitude and tells me about the things kids do to her or others, and how the teachers yell at them. She does not want to go to daycare in the mornings because of the way she is treated here. I will be leaving ASAP."
"We have changed babysitter services repeatedly over the last 2 years because of unprofessionalism and other unsatisfactory issues.Since enrolling our son in La Petite, I finally feel like my son's needs are being attended to. The food they serve is nutritious, and there is a loving atmosphere. Situations have been resolved the first time, every time, and have been rare. I could not imagine a better place for my son to be while my wife and I are at work, I hope that the staff is getting the credit they deserve."
"I have concerns about the teacher to student ratio- it seems like a lot of kids for each teacher. The teachers are warm and friendly, but they seem overwhelmed. The facilities are generally acceptable, but the floors are almost always dirty. I do love having food provided every day - it's a huge help. Overall, I feel like my child is learning great social skills and is learning educational things as well. She can count in Spanish and she is learning to write and her numbers. She usually seems happy when I pick her up."
