"Boy has the customer service at Knifeworks really dropped off!!! They still have competitive pricing (to make sales), but as another reviewer noted, they simply couldn't care less about their customers. They do not respond to emails at all, not even to inquiries regarding items/stock status. I'm glad I'm not the only one who experienced this change. I can no longer recommend their services...that is sad."

"Placed a order and got a confirmation. Never received a shipping notice, I called today and was told that the item was out of stock? They then said they had called me and e-mailed me about this. That was a lie, a flat out lie. Then right after I called I received a e-mail cancelation. Really disappointed with this company. Lousy service is all I got, had to get my knife from another seller."

"Save yourself time and frustration, and go somewhere else.

I've only ordered from them 3 times, and yet two of those times the items were defective. They're not particularly responsive, and not particularly interested in you, the customer.

The kicker? You pay return shipping, even for defective items. They instantly give the whole "it's the manufacturer's responsibility" which to me is a red flag to just run for the hills.

For some reason bladeforums loves them, yet they defend them while saying that talking to "Roger" (the owner) is how to get things done. Seriously? Talking to the OWNER to get customer service is a plus? Anyone who bad mouths them over there gets ostracized and banned. It's got to just be an isolated incident, right? Go search through the feedback over there, you'll see what I mean, and see that PLENTY of people have had negative experiences.

Prices are fine, but not when you factor in shipping items back and forth because they're defective.

" Made $150 purchase from Knifeworks.com. 30 days later I contact them, they say I was declined!? Then say they didn't receive payment? Sent them my receipt via e-mail. Still they give me the runaround. Currently in dispute with paypal. Straight up thieves..."

"Collecting pocket knives is my primary hobby. One of my favorite places for purchasing knives is KnifeWorks. I have made a half dozen or so purchases from them.
-The prices are excellent
-The shipping is very good. Very fast and well packaged.
-One time an item said to call to check stock prior to placing the order. I did so and the fella was very fast and very polite. Altogether an excellent experience.

"I called Knife Works to make sure they have in stock DMT 8" Dia-Sharp Continuous Diamond Bench Stone Extra-Extra-Coarse (120 Mesh) D8XX before I placed an order and spoke with CSR who went to warehouse to check the item and after she confirmed that it's in stock I placed an order online. They shipped the item next day via US Prioroty Mail and I got it in 3 business days.
The price from knifeworks was the best I found even with shipping and overall I had very nice transaction with them. Definitely will be using them in the future.

"Bought an almost $300 knife from knifeworks.com. I have one just like it already, but the first place I bought it from were out of stock - so decided to try knifeworks.

Big mistake. The knife was clearly already used. The cardboard box it came it had crudely been taped back together, the sealed pouch the knife comes in had already been opened, the liner locking mechanism had left marks on the blade, and the blade had play from side to side.

It's clear this knife had already been well worn-in. I don't know if it was intentional bait and switch or fraud, but I went back to their website and I now notice the knife I purchased is out of stock... obviously this was the last knife left in stock - and it had probably been returned for the blade play issue.

Very dssapointing. I would try bladehq.com instead where I bought my first knife. A better overall price and no nasty surprises or mistakes.

"I am a "novice" knife collector and had been hearing so many good things about Benchmade knives I thought I would pick one up. Ordered one from Knifeworks.com. The shipping box arrived looking brand new, but the Benchmade knife box inside looked like it had been ran over, had been through hell and back. Buying the knife for a collection,I was kind of dissappointed in this. There are too many knife merchants on the internet, will not deal with these jokers again."

"I recently ordered a higher end folding knife from KnifeWorks. Upon receiving the knife I found that it was not manufactured correctly. It was not immediately noticeable and no fault of KnifeWorks. Upset that such a high end knife could have such poor quality control, I contacted the manufacturer to resolve the problem. The manufacturer was rude and told me that it must somehow be my fault that the knife was possibly missing/ or contained a damaged a washer. Which is impossible since I never used the knife. Since the manufacturer was clearly not concerned with making things right, I called KnifeWorks. They were extremely polite and helpful, gave me a return number, and told me to send the knife back to them. I received my new knife the very same week. Almost as if they sent me a new one before they received the old one. I am very pleased with their great customer service and will definitely be using them again. Great company! Great customer service! I highly recommend them! "

"First off, for the knife I was looking at they were 10 bucks cheaper and shipping was only like 7 bucks. They had everything I needed and wanted.
Second, I actually ordered the incorrect knife and did not realize it until the night before they shipped it. I sent an email which they did not receive and the next day got an email with my tracking number. I emailed asking if my ordered was switched as requested in the last email. Ashley told me they did not get the email and I could send the knife back for the correct one once I get it. I explained that I had emailed the night before but I understood and asked if there are charges for the return. She emailed me back and said that she went to the UPS bin and replaced the order for me!!! I have never dealt with a company that was able to do this after it "shipped". I am so impressed with this company especially Ashley.
Overall with everything I have to say that this is one of my favorite companies to do business with online and will be recommending them to everyone I know looking for anything knife related. Thank you!!
