"The transaction with KnifeCenter was flawless and the turnaround was very quick. The Spyderco Endura with Pakkawood scales was a bit of a disappointment. It looked stunning in the online photos, but was just OK in real life. The blade has a small amount of wobble, so I took it to Spyderco (I live very close to their Golden factory) and they couldn't fix it without making the action unreasonable tight. I make my own fixed blade knives and collect folders, but if it's in my pocket, I expect to be able to use the knife for everyday things without damaging it. Most of my folders are in the $200+ range, so maybe I got what I paid for at $140, but I own several Spyderco knives, including a Manix 2 and Native 5, both of those Golden made knives are tight with great fit and finish, even after several years of EDC use. The HAP40 came razor sharp and has remained so through several uses. The SUS410 is too soft and marks easily, in fact when Spyderco tried to eliminate the wobble between the blade and handle they scratched the blade. I love the blade's shape and length, but wish I would have pulled the trigger on a PM2 with S110V instead. It's a great pocket ornament, or would be good in your Spyderco collection, but get something with S30V or better for EDC."
