"I purchsed a replacement laptop battery which wouldn't charge. I was able to return that battery and received another, which also wouln't charge fully,although it behaved differently than the first.

I tried everything they suggested, although their advice was generic and din't apply to my laptop or battery. They couldn't provide any evidence that the battery worked before they shipped it and they couldn't provide me a charged battery.

Finally, now I am left with garbage and a useless receipt.

"I bought a Dell X300 312-0106 Li-ion Laptop Battery from Key Battery. It fits poorly to the laptop and is not charged at all! It is worse than the old battery it supposed to replace. To me it looks like a defected or a dead battery the store might have recycled from someones' trash can. Have contacted the store by email three times for refund. No respond! Could not find phone # to call on their website. I did find a phone # on their order confirmation email. When I called that #, the operator voice said the dail cannot be completed. Like most of the reviewers' complaints, something need to be done to shut down this store for good."

"I find myself in an embarrassing position.

I ordered a battery recently from keybattery.com and only after placing the order happened upon this site.

I read one scathing review after another and was convinced that I had erred in doing due diligence before placing the order.

I placed my order on a Friday, and when I checked the status the following Monday, I noticed to my chagrin that while my card had been dinged immediately, the order was still in 'pending' status.

I immediately sent some not very nice emails to the site demanding that they immediately cancel my order and credit my card.

I didn't receive a response and was sure that I had been taken.

Then, the next day, the battery arrived....

The moral to this story is not to believe all the negativity on this site.

Sure, it serves a useful purpose as an avenue for venting, and it does expose some weaknesses on the part of some vendors, but it also can turn into a feeding frenzy.

My sincere apologies to anyone at keybattery.com for having to read my unfair and spiteful emails to them.

This also leaves me in a bit of a dilemma.

I need to order a laptop and one of the sites I had my eye on has equally appalling reviews. I don't know whether to go on my gut instincts, or believe the reviews.

I just spent a good 3 hours reading mostly negative reviews about them, but half the complaints are from people who clearly have no clue how to configure and operate a PC. I strongly suspect at least half the negative reviews are from people who are trying to shift the blame for their own incompetence.

"I purchased 2 camara batteries and one did not work. I called numerous times and could nr=ever get thru. I e-mailed 2 times and still no response. I guess i will fill out this story in hopes that no body else will get the run around and i will contact my credit card company to have the charges taken off."

"Ordered 2 camera batteries non-oem but supposed to be equal to Sony oem at 1600 mah capacity.

Received them and tested them and both only held a 1250 mah charge.

Emailed Keybattery a printout of the test on July 25th, they apologized, issued an RMA and I returned the batteries.

No refund by 9/26/07, called them and they emailed apology again and said it would be sent right away.

No refund by 10/4/07, emailed again and again they replied it would be sent.

No refund, emailed them 11/12/07 and no reply.

No refund, emailed them 11/28/07 and no reply.

Put a claim in with Citibank and they are "investigating"

In my last email to them I stated:

I give up. I have contacted Citibank to reverse the charges.

You should be ashamed, misrepresenting the product and then failing to
refund as promised.

A happy customer tells 3 people, an unhappy one tells 20. Guess how many
I'll tell.

Hope a lot of you read this

"Do not buy from this company! I bought two extended camcorder batteries in July and when I went to charge and use them in January for the first time neither one will take a charge (on the camera or the charger I bought from Key Battery). I've written 4 emails and received no response, I've also called 5 times and get an "all circuits busy" message. The key to buying good batteries, don't buy them at Key Battery. I'll be filing an internet fraud complaint and a complaint with the Better Business Buearu.

"I received a dead battery that would not charge. I got a e-mail on testing and return instructions. with reading the mail if they replace the battery and the old is not returned within 30 days my account would be charged again. I mailed the battery certified and they would not accept it and i never got a replacement. I went to the bank and filed a fraud claim and did get my money back. this place needs to be shut down I filed a claim to IC3.gov Maybe someone will do something

"If you buy from this company, do not use a debit card. Debit charges are submitted the day the order is placed and you then find they cannot fill the order. They refuse to answer emails and phone calls are answered with a recording; you leave messages, they don't return calls. I am having to go through our Consumer Protection Divison of the WV Attorney General's office in order to get a refund. Do not deal with this company.

"I ordered a new replacement battery for a Toshiba laptop....when it arrived 2 weeks later it was defective. It only last about 5 mins after a full charge. After many emails I was forced to pay for return shipping and now over a month and a hald later I still haven't received a good replacement battery. They sent me an email saying thatit was shipped. Then after not receiving it I emailed them and was told thatthey were waiting for a shipment from their supplier..WHAT A LIE! These people should be locked up and stripped over every penny that they have!"

"This company is a fly by night operation! After waiting the alloted amount of time for my laptop battery to arrive I began calling to no avail and email to the same. I finally got Jayson to answer the phone and he told me that it was backordered. He said he didn't know when I would get it. I then asked for an immediate refund to which he said "I can't do that" and hung up on me! I had to dispute the charges with my bank, and then went to http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/
and filed a complaint against this bogus company. I urge everyone else to do the same. Let's stop this prick before he screws anyone else!! NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Victory over key Battery! After 6 months of disputing the charges with Key Battery with my Visa card provider (they shipped me the wrong battery and refused to take it back, substitute the correct one, refund my money, or even communicate), I prevailed, and the charge has been reversed permanently! It was a lot of work, but I would suggest to anyone who has a dispute with this fradualent merchant to keep good records and persist with your credit card company to get the charges reversed. Key Battery will not die easily, but they can be beaten!

"I placed an order with Key Battery on June, 18, 2007. They charged my credit card on June, 19, 2007. Todays date is August 17, 2007. I have not recieved my order. They have not responded to my email to refund the charged amount. I have had no luck getting anyone to answer the phone."
