"Ordered filters from the company's on-line catalog, entered all necessary shipping info, credit card info, etc.
Order gets processed.
Then I receive an e-mail from the company saying that the items I had ordered were only for 'customers who buy a juicer as well'. I shot back, if it's on-line and in your catalog, then it's available to the general public!
After several more queries as to the disposition of my order, I'm told the order was cancelled and will not be shipped.
This is the worst bait-and-switch (or bait-and-cancel) schemes I've run across on the web (and I do a lot of ordering on the web!)
The nerve of a company to list an item online, then tell buyers "Oh no, you can't buy that... you have to spend a couple hundred bucks first" is unprofessional. To not honor an order already placed, even if it is due to an error (as I told them, if you don't want to sell them online, don't advertise them online... but you have to honor the order once it's placed)
I even heard back from the owner of the company himself (supposedly) who obviously knows nothing about consumer relations, because he agreed with the cancellation of my order!
In my opinion, this company in an unprofessional, fly-by-night operation. I would never again do business with this company and you should think twice before you do as well. I'll have to monitor my credit card statement now since I gave them the card number.
