"The online ordering system didn't show that this item was out of stock. I didn't realize it was backordered (no email from the company at any point in time either) until I checked it on December 23rd. Unfortunately, there were other sellers with the item in stock, all for the same or lower price. I am unlikely to use the seller again."

"I was refered to this site by a friend when I was trying to get some adobe software for a friend. First off, their communication on order status is dismal. The order went on "pending" for two days and they never notified me that the credicard had not processed. I called and corrected this, and was told the order was "in process". Again, the website never updated, and no emails were sent. Finally called customer service again and was then told, the product was in "backorder" and it would be another week before it would even be in. Not sure what kind of outfit this is, but their notification process simply bites. The customer service people are helpful enough, but until they fix their notification service, I'd not do business with this e-tailer again. I've had better experiences elsewhere"

"I was referred to this site, by my college's book store. I took a flier, and checked out the prices, and I was pretty surprised that Photoshop CS4 Extended was $20 cheaper, than pretty much everywhere else. So, I read some of the reviews here (all were about terrible customer service), but I placed the order anyway, I also submitted my academic proof. About an hour or two later, I got an e-mail telling me they accepted the proof, and have begun processing my order. A few hours later, I get an e-mail with a tracking number! And, what do you know, I just got the order today. (I paid for UPS 2 day, and they shipped it, UPS 2 day)
My ONLY complaint would be that, they did not ship Photoshop in it's original box! All they sent me was the DVD\CD case (shrink-wrapped). But, I still got to register the software, and all is working well. HIGHLY recommended!

"More...recently,
I am an art student which I draw 24/7, this is Wacom Intuos3, the best. It is cheaper $20 if you buy from JourneyED. but I do not think that you want to buy it from JourbeyED. First of all, when you place your order for UPS 2days, and paid($20). They ship Fedex ground($5-$10). I asked them is that two days Fedex ground. They said it is because your shipping was ship on weekend, and weekend does not count. The product took 6days two arrived. The thing is if they ship by UPS 2days, It would arrive within 4days. (that plus 2days weekend and two working day. Second, customer service always argue, and try to win whatever customer say. Even though the problem come from them. The thing is when customer call, about the product, there is going to be something wrong that the company made. It is happen to me when I call. Third, it is waste your time aruging with customer service. You would save time and feeling if you shop with other website. Finally, product were great, but I am not happy with JourneyED and I do not want anyone to experience this horrible situation. I hope that JourneyED would have new customer service who is willing to help ,and listen to customer when they did wrong and fix the problem (not arguing).

"After looking at the reviews for this company, decided to call to be sure the item was in stock before ordering since they had the best price by far on academic version of Microsoft Office. The pleasant person who handled my call informed me that only 8 of that version of the software was available, and that they reserved one for me after I gave my credit card to them over the phone. Then faxed a copy of my daughter's report card for proof of academic eligibility to the number she gave me. One week later no email or shipment confirmation so called and spoke to the same representative who was apologetic and offered to send the software next day UPS and waive the $14.50 shipping charge. It came the next day as promised. It was an excellent value, nobody else even came close and since we did not need the software immediately the end result was excellent."

"I ordered Adobe Lightroom Educational and Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended education software programs from Journey Ed. Their website doesn't show you if a product is in stock so after ordering both I found out that Photoshop was back-ordered. They did let me cancel photoshop and customer service was easy to reach and responsive. I did receive Lightroom later that week. Their shipping prices are RIDICULOUS ($16 for UPS ground) and the shipping is SLOW. If you need education Adobe products you would be best to shop around. For Adobe Educational on a Mac I suggest Apple.com - same prices on software and free fast shipping."

"I placed an order with this company as it was the only way to get an MS software title I needed at the academic pricing. Their website FAQ stated that orders are shipped within 48 hours if in stock and an academic ID is on file.

When can I expect delivery of my order?
Orders are shipped within 48 hours of your order being placed as long a current academic ID is on file and the item is in stock. The standard ship method is FedEx 2-Day delivery. Courier time frames do not include holidays or weekend days in their service transit times.

By Friday 08/24, the order stated it was "In Warehouse", but I had not heard anything. After sending an e-mail to them, I received a response on Monday stating that the item was on backorder until 08/27. Later that day, I received an shipping confirmation and a tracking number from UPS.

Their shipping FAQ page states that they ship most orders UPS 2-Day Air, yet mine was sent UPS Ground. Hmmm... FedEx, UPS, which one?

The item did arrive in good condition and on the scheduled delivery date.

Overall, not a bad experience, but they need to have better communication regarding order processing and shipping, especially if the item is on backorder (there was no indication on the website).

"The website does not show if the item is in stock or not. If they do not have it in stock, they do nothing to inform you about that. When I called them up, they said that it will be getting the item in a month. Atleast they were polite and cancelled my order. "

"They sold me Peachtree Complete Accounting 2007 as if it was a fully functional version, When in fact it was an "EDUCATIONAL" version which cannot be updated and will not sync with Outlook. I would not have made the purchase if they had fully disclosed the truth."

"Placed an order for some software with them but CD-ROM was defective. I understand it was not their fault but had to call them back several times to authorize a replacement and I kept getting transfered around and they kept saying that they couldn't find any record of a refund or replacement authorization. When they finally straightened out that I should receive a replacement, they were out of stock of the item I wanted. I got so fed up that I cancelled my entire order with them and told them I was taking my business elsewhere. "
