"I filled outa job application for a company I knew seeking an admin position and received a text from Job Hat to call them. I had a hard time understanding the interviewer due to her strong Mexican accent and the loud TV in the background. She asked me questions about my car and said she could probably put me to work right away starting at $25 as a driver. I respectfully told her I wasn’t interested in a driving position AND SHE HUNG UP ON ME! "

"You can tell them what you're looking for and they'll email that they found it..but that listing won't come up..a host of unrelated jobs will!"

"When you get the sign-up link in your email, you are taken to a secondary site that asks for access to your phone and email contacts. This is followed by your first job listing email, which contains a dozen or so openings. (I did note that I recognized zero companies on the list.) Clicking on any item on the list will take you to a website with a "sorry, no jobs in your area" message and some ads. The same happens if you sign up for text alerts.

If you accidently sign up for this, be prepared to block multiple emails and phone numbers."

"I filled out an application thru jobhat and they texted me the next day, telling me to call a number if I was interested in a job with the I'd filled out an app with. I called the number and it was their job placement service. They asked me a few questions, some multiple times, about my education and if I was furthering it. Then about my hobbies & interests. I was a little confused but continued to answer questions. She asked me if I'd like to begin a job in my field (the one I mentioned id like to finish school for) immediately or in 1-3 months... I explained that I was looking for something immediately in my current field, until I obtain that degree... She said something, told me to have a great day and hung up... I'm still confused. No help, waste of time. I should have just called the company I'd filled the app out with instead of that run around..."
