Bad

"I order from jr 2 times a month...I ordered on the 11th Dec "paid extra to get it here faster"..it was out for the delivery on the 13th..when I checked on it later. It said insufficient address..they sent my things back to jr cigar...jr cigars has my billing address on the email they sent me..So how did fed ex not get my address....never again...IM ROLLING WITH CIGAR SHOP FOR NOW ON...SMH"

Another Bad Experience!

"They play the "While Supplies Last" card and the "UNFORTUNATLY". I ordered promo items and they didn't have them in stock when it came time to ship my items. I have a confirmation when they took my $257.95 off my credit card. The customer service SUPERVISOR Dominique is awful! I told her I will not be ordering again. She had the no care attitude and offered me 20% off.
I declined. I can't get them to send me a return label but yet every hour they can send me a marketing email!

Declined my Order without letting me know

"I ordered over a week ahead of time to make sure cigars arrive for a birthday. 4 days after order confirmation it still hadn't shipped and no one reached out. I finally got customer service on the phone and their response was, "Your order was declined, we don't know why". After asking why they didnt inform me about order decline and why they still took the money out of my account, the response was, "We only send an email to confirm shipping". Safe to say I am never using their services ever again."

Their customer service lies about their delivery times and options.

"The worst online cigar retailer. I called JR cigar on Friday Sept 10 to order this for a trip to Florida leaving Sept 16. I asked tustomer service what method of shipping would get this to me in time for my trip as it was my responsibility to provide the cigars for the company executives. I ordered this travel humidor, a second humidor, boveda packs, and cigars . They said UPS 2nd day air. would DEFINITELY get it to me on time if I ordered by Sept 14. I placed the order Sept 13 and checked off UPS 2nd day air as per their suggestion. Extremely disappointed that my order arrived on Sept 20, after I had already returned from Florida. What an embarrassing trip as the only 1 thing that 1 needed to do right was derailed by JR Cigar. I called them Sept 20 and they acted like they couldn't care less and offered "25% off YOUR NEXT ORDER". Who in their right mind would order from JR Cigar "next time" if they can't even get the order right the first time. I asked them if they would make any concession for THIS ORDER WHICH THEY SCREWED UP but they gave me the cold shoulder and said "send it back if you are unsatisfied". Wow! What absolutely horrific customer service. Doesn't get any worse than this. They don't give a rats a$$ about their customers. JR Cigar thinks that if you send the order back and they return your money, then that rights their wrong. They have no intention of establishing a relationship between them and their customers. JR Cigar is just a greedy, online cigar retailer. There are lots of better cigar retailers that actually offer decent customer service and not the sorry excuse of customer service that JR cigar offers. "

Can't use 20% Promo for FIRST PURCHASE

"Since there was already a silly free gift promotion on the item I wanted- Winston Churchill Robusto (20 pack) for $355 I was NOT able to use the 20% promo code that I received from JR Cigars directly. After sending in several emails to customer care and never hearing back from them, I decide to call and speak to a human being. They confirmed this "bug" in their system and were not able to manually override. What do I want with 2 cheesy espresso cups when instead I can save $70 on my very first purchase. I will take my business elsewhere! "

Scam Artists

"Placed an order months ago and was immediately charged for the order. After several weeks I called to ensure my order was being processed and they promised me I’d have my order within the week. 3 more weeks later I call back, this time they tell me they cannot ship to my state. Never was once told this until I emailed and called and was charged. Absolutely ridiculous business practice and their average of 1 star is extremely accurate. Do not order from this site. "

JR Cigar is a scam

"I put an order from their web site on may 7th and they sent me a confirmation email about my order. After 12 days I still did not receive anything. When I tried to track my order some bot said could not find the order and opened a case. I also sent them an email asking about my order's status. An auto reply email came saying it will take 3 business days to answer. This shows you that this company is a scam. They take you money but never send your goods. Never try to buy anything from this site."

"I have been a customer for years, but recently the website is like a mine field or playing a game of whack-a-mole to find anything. Also, seems like every product I like is 'out of stock.' It use to be a fun experience dealing with JR, but I am looking for a new source so I can move on past all the bs and lack of products."

Australian reviewing JR Cigars

"A little background:
In Australia, Cigar pricing is rediculous (factors affecting this are Duties (ridiculously high ($1575/KG), Shipping and mark up.). Customer service in Australia, in the cigar world, are pretty poor, bar 1 establishment.

I purchased 2 boxes of Rocky Patel, (1 Rocky patel The Edge maduro Robusto (20ct), which came with a free box of Rocky Patel Conquistas (20ct)). such a deal is unheard of in Australia, mainly because the government prevents advertising of deals around tobacco products.

After some age verification (understandable), the products were shipped to the freight company in the US. the total process took about 4 days, accounting for difficulty with age verification of an Australian ID, this isnt terrible.

I believe where the more recent 1 star reviews come from, are due to ignoring the Age verification emails, as they won't ship your product until you do. This is a one off process for first time buyers.

even with these inconveniences, the speed and response, beats Australian companies, in an Apples to Apples comparison.

cigars are here, they are fresh.
