"COMPLAINT!
I bought an external HDD ISYSTOR on January 14. Received in January 20th. The HDD was faulty - could not be detected by my computer. I e-mailed techsupport for assistance - could not resolve, so I requested an RMA to return the HDD.

I spent more than a week before I got a response for who was going to pay for the shipping for the return of the package...this delayed the return of the package considerably. No one apologized for the delay in response - no reply for over a week!!!! with reminder e-mails sent every other day!!!

So finally I realize that I am paying for the shipping back and then I sent it via FedEx - met all their conditions. The package arrived and was signed for at ISYSTOR - Feb 7, 2005. I sent an e-mail on the 10th of Feb.

Response from RMA Dept. was on the 11th. Telling me that it would take 2-4 weeks to replace and if I wanted to cancel my order, there would be a 15% re-stock fee. Even when it wasn't my fault that the HDD was defective!! So I decided that I had spent enough money on this not to leave half-done (I was stupid enough to pay extra to get the original package 2nd day).

Ever, since that initial e-mail the responses to my questions have been more or less prompt - but no new information or providing barely no information. I asked when I can expect to get my HDD - they tell me it takes 2-4 weeks for process the application. I ask for a specific timeline, and all I am told is that the HDD is at the manufacturers - nothing else.

So 4 weeks go by, and I don't have my HDD. On March 9th, I e-mailed and I was told that my HDD was "being sent."...I asked for tracking information....and there has been NO RESPONSE!!....that was the last reponse I have had from them.

It is March 25th, no response, and I have been following up every other day. MORE THAN SIX WEEKS SINCE I SENT IN MY HDD...and I haven't received any explanations.!

I am frustrated with ISYSTOR and would ask anyone buying from them to BUY AT THEIR OWN RISK!!! THESE GUYS ARE INCOMPETENT and LACK ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.

DON'T BUY FROM THEM IF YOU OTHER OPTIONS. I KNOW I WON'T EVEN IF THE COMPETITION IS MORE EXPENSIVE. NEVER AGAIN!!

"This has to be the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with! I would absolutely NEVER deal with them again!! After checking prices on Pricewatch.com, I decide to order an external hard drive from them. BIG MISTAKE… First off, it took two weeks for me to receive the drive. After receiving it, at first glance everything looked good, but then the problems started. The drive was dead and this company would not respond to my emails, for TWO weeks I emailed them, No response! I ended up calling my credit card company and filing a fraud report. I emailed isystor one more time to tell them about the report I had made, and guess what? Within three hours they finally sent me an email with a RMA number so I could return the drive. Well, I did return the drive, waited another Two weeks and nothing.. Again no emails, no nothing. After sending them email after email, they did finally respond and accused me of trying to rip them off.. What?? They have my drive, they still have my money, and I have to fill out a bunch of paper work with my credit card company to try to get my money back, and the say I am ripping them off ? These guys are a real piece of work. I don’t know what their problem is, but BEWARE of their practices. Again I stress, I will absolutely NEVER deal with them again!! "

"Ordered external drive enclosure on Friday and paid twice its price for NEXT DAY shipping only to get it the following week, isystor said NEXT DAY shipping didnt include saturdays even though UPS does deliver on saturday - would only offer to take item back with restock charge and minus shipping - BBB of CA shows they have bad listing with them.....should have checked should have checked should have checked "

"Ordered drive based on PriceWatch price. Responded that all no warranty drives are not in stock and that they could provide a substitute for $xx more.

Funny when I ordered, all their no warranty drives were in stock yesterday. Did they all get sold out in a day?

Didn't appreciate the bait and switch tactic. If you need something right away, probably not the folks to order from.

"Very unprofessional. I went on PriceWatch and found a harddrive that Isystor was selling. Even the info on pricewatch said the drive was in stock. Anyway I bought the drive and I instantly I got an email from them saying that it was out of stock. Though they did tell me I could buy that same drive but with warranty if I wished to pay 15 extra bucks. If I wanted the driver without warranty it would take 6 weeks just to get the drive. I was very angry that they tried this bait & switch routine with me and they even had the nerve of lying to their customers saying that the driver was in stock when it was not. Stay away from this company. Many other people have had trouble with them."

"On Dec. 10th I placed an order for a hard drive with them and never recieved a confirmation e-mail from them. I had some one scheduled to update my computer durint Christmas Holiday and because this date was getting closer on Dec. 20th I contacted Isystor and asked if my order was going to be shipped soon. At that time they said the hard drive have been on backorder and would be shipped soon. At that time I e-mailed them again to ask them to cancel the order and told them of my plans to obtain a hard drive locally because I couldn't wait any more. They e-mailed me back and said that it had been shipped and that I could request an RMA number to return it when it came. I didn't recieve it until Dec. 21 and my upgrade was already completed. I contacted isystor for the return info and was told my return was on technical hold and I should send them anoter e-mail explaining what the cercomstances were, I did and am stil waiting to hear from them! "

"I ordered a Pioneer DVD burner and mistakingly received a NEC burner instead. Attempted to correct order mistake, even offering to pay a restocking fee, but isystor would not respond to my emails. I tried to call the 800 number but it is only a message...no way to speak to a real person or leave a message."
