" I ordered parts and they took my money. Didn’t send the part. Won’t answer the phone I will get my money back somehow someway. Big **** scam. I went to BBB whole bunch of bad reports. Wish I would have went there first. Big scam. Big Scam. "

Learned my lesson!

"After buying the pump on line, I found someone to install and he told me getting it on line was a mistake and boy was he right!! It stopped working after less than 2 months. I called, had to send photos and they said they would review. FOUR weeks later, they sent an email saying they would send a replacement. That's great but 4 wks of summer is like 2 months since time is of the essence. Finally received almost 2 wks later and didn't even get it all the way out of the box b/c a part on the top was broken! Called immed and couldn't get thru, emailed twice, called again. It was Oct before they responded and told me to send it back and they would refund. I mean I'm glad they refunded me (only after I emailed them to ask where was my money 2 months after I sent back pump) but I lost the whole summer and a lot of time and frustration. Not to mention the money it cost me to have someone to install 1st pump, uninstall broken pump, svc call to install 2nd pump that was broken, etc. I will never, ever buy a pump on line again!! I did save money up front but in the long run, I did not."

Sent me the completely wrong itesm and now they expect me to pay for shipping to return them

"Ordered some hot tub jets through them.

With no notification whatsoever, they whimsically decided to send only a few of the correct jets and then fulfill the rest of the order with completely incorrect jets- totally different part number altogether. After a battle of support ticket conversations back and forth that they don't seem to EVER read entirely (dodging questions, etc.), I finally got them to issue the correct RMA for the incorrect items. But they expect me to pay for the shipping. Why should I be responsible for return shipping when they send me the COMPLETELY WRONG item?

If not resolved shortly I'll just file a dispute with my credit card and they can deal with that, hopefully it's as much of a hassle for them as this was for me.

UPDATE:

Apparently they are going to send me a shipping label to cover the cost. All of this has been quite a hassle in communications, sourced partially from using 3rd party support offerings and being separated from their warehouses and so forth. Maybe the support folks are overworked and have to manage several different companies with different policies and so forth. I'll update again once I get the shipping label and get the credit for the return.

Good prices, fast delivery, great customer service

"I've used Inyo Pool over the years and find their prices to be extremely competitive, shipping fast and customer service outstanding.
I purchased a heat pump type pool heater a couple of years ago from them. Their price beat out all competition. When the unit arrived there was a question regarding damage. The unit was returned and a new one sent out, no questions asked.
I'll continue using them in the future and would definitely recommend them to friends.

Contacted by their Fraud Department

"Was purchasing pool motor to change for a friend. They seemed to have good pricing so I ordered the motor. We put on my girlfriends CC with proper billing info, but different ship to address. Their "Fraud Department" said they would need a Picture of Front and Back of Credit Card and ID to be able to process the order. Sorry, but my girlfriend does not want her CC or ID scanned and emailed online. Waste of time, CC companies have their own Fraud Department for bad charges, don't need an online company not accepting an order, the CC company can take care of that guys."

Customer service is horrible!

"I purchased a pool motor in September 2016. June 2017 it went bad. Contacted the warranty department on June 8 (Friday) spoke to Megan was told she would e-mail instructions on how to e-mail them 3 pictures (front and both sides). That e-mail did not show up until June 11 (Monday) while I was on the phone to Megan asking where the e-mail was. I had to give them a $25 fee for postage. I immediately e-mail the three pics. I was told later that day that they were accepting my claim and would send me a return label and once they received notice that the package was in route they would release my order for delivery. I did not get the label until the next day, June 12. I packaged up the old motor and took it to the UPS store where they scanned the package and said that Inyo pools would be notified immediately that the package was received. I contacted Inyo pools on June 18 (10 days after the first contact) was told by Andrea they had not shipped my motor because I had not told them the my return was on the way. After some discussion about where it was told to me that I had to contact them, when they were sent an e-mail from UPS about the return, the manager Alex agreed to send my motor "next day air". I was sent a UPS tracking number. I tried several times to track the package to no avail. I contacted UPS and they told me that a label was generated but they (UPS) had not received the package. I contacted the customer service girl Andrea and she said she would check with the shipping dept. After some time on hold (22 mins) she told me they still had the package and would "try" to get it shipped out tomorrow (June 20). I complained to her about the service and she put me on hold only to be hung up on. I then received a call from the manager Alex and he said that he checked with the shipping dept. and they told him the package was picked up yesterday. So someone wasn't telling the truth. I then called UPS again and they insist that the have not received the package and if they did there would be current tracking info on the web-site. I live in Phoenix, AZ where if your pump is not running you will develop algae in just a few days. It has been 11 days since my motor went out and Inyo still hasn't sent me my replacement and it seems they don't even know where it is. Lesson learned. "

read return policy before ordering

"I bought a Crystal pure 3.0 salt system from Inyou pools after installing system, nothing works, right. The instruction book from pure line pool is useless. Any way even if i could return a 20% restocking fee is outrageous, inyou will only accept new unused stuff. How do you if something will work with out trying it. Buyer beware. "

WON'T ACCEPT RETURN

"I BOUGHT O-RINGS FOR MY POOL FILTER. RECEIVED ORDER,WENT OUTSIDE AND PUT O-RINGS ON. THEY WERE THE WRONG SIZE SO I CALLED NEXT MORNING TO GET CORRECT SIZE. I TOLD THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP. THAT THE O-RING WAS ON FOR 10 SECONDS AND I NEEDED A RETURN AUTH. NUMBER TO GET CREDIT. HE SAID NO RETURNS AND THAT I SHOULD HAVE SENT HIM A PICTURE FIRST. WHY WOULD I SEND HIM A PICTURE. I ASKED FOR A SUPERVISOR AND OF COURSE THEY WERE BOTH BUSY. I WON'T BE ORDERING ANYTHING ELSE AGAIN. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE."

LOST A CUSTOMER!!!!!

"I will never buy from them again!! They won't accept a return on an item because it has been used?!!!! How was I supposed to know if it worked unless I used it?!. I bought an aquabug from them worked one time will not work. My pool professional tried to make it work still didn't. Called inyo and they say they don't take items that have been used (ridiculous) to call Hayward called Hayward they won't do anything either so now I'm out 150 bucks on something that doesn't work. Way to cover your **** inyo pools. Shady business will not buy from them again and have notified all of my friends and my pool guy said he will do the same. "

Cleaner is killing it.

"Bought "The Pool Cleaner" 2 wheel version. Delivered extremely fast. Simply to get hooked up with the provided instructions.

It's 3 hours into its first cleaning right now, and has already cleaned the whole pool. I had just cut down two, 25 year old, pine trees that were hanging over the pool, and I wondered how long the saw dust was going to stay in there. Like I said, only 3 hours into the first cleaning and it's sparkling again.
