"Sent in rebate form perfectly. After 4 weeks no online indication it was received, customer service said check back in 10 days (I filled online form asking if I should re-submit certified mail,) after 10 days sill had not been received - said check back in 5 more days. Still not received; filed complaint with bbb.org - referenced this webpage. (after 30 days got a reply from my email to resubmit if still valid time frame - of course after a month waiting for the email reply, the resubmission would be invalid) Anyway bbb may have made some progress, rebatestatus.com sent confirmation that rebates were received. Apearantly it takes 2 months, several calls to customer service, emails and a bbb dispute for them to open the mail. Now I'm waiting 8 weeks to see if they send the rebate, or require additional information - hah - "no earlier than 180 days" and "no later than 210 days after your activation date" It is clear that they have every intention to not honor these rebates."

"The problem is with not sending accessories they promise during the promotion and taking an infinite time to process the rebates and declining them for various reasons. I tried to find information, and found Intelenet, wirefly etc all are affiliates of Inphonic a publicly traded firm listed on Nasdaq.
For intelenet i did manage to get some contact information about the rebate processing center
1-***-***-**** (customer service/ sales),
1-***-***-**** (rebate processing), 1-***-***-**** (rebate processing center), i believe the last one is for intelenet and the one before that might be for inphonic.
You may be able to call and see status on rebates and make any progress, else I would suggest calling the inphonic number ***-***-**** and make complaints there as they are the one taking care of the operations, and intelenet is just an affiliate.
Good luck, while I wait...
Else the situation definitely seems pretty good for a class-action lawsuit. If I dont get some thing soon I am going to take it up. I hope the executives at Inphonic are listening and can avoid an embarassing situation in future by fixing the problems now.
This is an update on their vindictiveness:
In December I was told that they will be sending 2 of my rebates, the other 2 were invalid. Then after reading this review a person contacted me asking for order information etc to resolve the issue. A month later all my rebates have been made invalid on pretence that the post mark date was after 220 days. There is no way I can prove it since I didnt send it by certified mail and they know that. Last time I had checked they were about to send the checks and now they are acting vindictive. Well cant deal with crooks.

"Purchased the phones in September 2004. Followed the rebate directions to the letter, making sure I had photocopies of the sides of the box before I sent in the rebate to T-Mobile. Received the T-Mobile rebate right away. Had to call Intelenet for rebates. They said one rebate was in the mail (which we received) and the other had arrived one day late, but he would send it anyway. Never received the second rebate. If you consider buying a phone from this establishment, do so knowing you will not receive your rebates from Intelenet."

"Would not send rebates 300 dollars.Said date was missing on invoice.Sent in on 180 days after purchase.Recieved email 258 days saying I had to resubmit by 210 days.I have reported to ohio attorney general.I am not alone."

"Like others, I see, I didn't get my rebates from intelenet either. I did get my rebate from TMobile, though.

I didn't get the proper forms sent either, I had to track them down.

One reason given for not getting the rebates was the receipt didn't have a sales date on it.

"odered 2 t mobile phones but I got a reply that I was denied by T-Mobile. I then cancelled my order. 2 weeks later, they sent me 1 sprint pcs phone which i did not order, with the wrong area code. Called customer service last 10-08-05 but no one was answering for 5 minutes. The bill from sprint arrived at the same time as the phone. I have to pay sprint for charges for a phone that I did not even order and use. This is an illegal use of an account information for purchases that the account holder did not even authorized.I think this company deals with refurb phones because the case of the phone that they sent is just a cheap painted replacement.Buyer beware! Refurb phones, phony rebates & unauthorized additions on you purchases. Pretty close to a scammers signature.The company has multiple names and addresses plus your personal account information."

"Purchased cell phones based on rebate deal. Sent rebates on 8/31 with tracking. Mailed forwarded to Arizona on 9/2 no information on web site yet. Called twice, first time directed to a rebate phone # for Lowes. Second called told to wait 4 to 6 weeks for the mail to be forwarded. Received email yesterday to resend the rebates, so I was given a fax # or address.(I have fax # if anyone needs it, but I guess there are very few people that actually receive their rebates) Faxed rebates today. Got a couple of weird emails back so I attached copies of the rebate information in PDF form but was emailed unable to open attachment. Will have to wait on information from faxes. So far I won't recommend buying anything from this company.

Update 10/14/2005: Finally received status on rebate, but they were rejected stating: The claim form submitted was incomplete and/or illegible. All fields are required.

I haven't found out what it was missing but I have double check the rebate forms for all of the information and it all looks OK. All fields are completed and all paper work was attached.

This company is a joke. Only 180 to 210 days to send in a rebate. Couldn't find it for over a month. I have called a number of the customer service #'s and just get the run around.In the process of documenting everything for the BBB.

Update 10/28/2005
Finally found a contact from another web site http://www.scam.com/showthread.php?p=103962#post103962. My rebate status has change to being processed. I also received an email from this review with the same contact information, so it appears that the company might be trying to fix some of the problems. I will update the information when I get new information.

"Screw up's and rip off's is what you will get from Intelenet. The first thing that was wrong was the phone was shipped with a phone number that was for an area code from another state. I had to drive 150 miles to a Cingular store and they were nice enough to reprogram the phone that Intelenet screwed up. Intelenet also messed up the phone service package by adding services I did not order. Again, I had to call Cingular to straighten it out.

Now comes time for the rebates that I mailed in. The rebates only had to be sent about 70 miles from were I live but there is no sign of them when checking the rebates on line. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I never will and I will tell as many people as I can that it is not worth the trouble you will go through dealing with this company.

SPREAD THE WORD THAT THEY ARE A SCAM. IF YOU'VE BEEN RIPPED OFF LIKE I HAVE, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. START HERE, THEN FILE WITH CONSUMER AGENCIES OR CHECK ON CLASS ACTION LAWYERS OR SOMETHING. GO TO YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER AND LAUNCH AS MANY COMPLAINTS AS YOU CAN ABOUT INTELENET WIRELESS. DON'T JUST BEND OVER AND TAKE IT!!

"This has been the worst online experience for me and I have purchased several items online. I guess you get what you pay for. I could have gotten a phone from Amazon but Intelenet offered what appeared to be a much better deal. Guess what, it's too good to be true.

My nightmare happened once I received my order. After a few days, I got another phone that I never ordered. I checked their website and true enough, another order was placed for me on the same day I made my actual order. Now here's when it gets really ugly. I returned the phone and their website instructs customers to call the cellphone company to deactivate an account. But Cingular says that the vendor should be the one cancelling the account, not me. Of course, this has made me go around in circles, and I still haven't resolved my problem. And their customer service number is a joke, I have been put on hold for at least 30 min each time I call. I have wasted all this time for nothing.

My suggestion..NEVER ORDER FROM THEM.

"This is the worst company i have ever encountered. I ordered 2 Nokia 3595 phones, and got 2 refurbished/used phones. One of them stopped working within 10 days. I mailed it back and asked a replacement. No response. It took me 12 emails, 1 bbb complaint, and N phone calls to get another phone. Of course, all my rebates are denied since i returned the bad phone. I ended up with a poor phone, expensive charge, and 20 days without a cell phone but still pay for the plan.The fun part is that the other Nokia 3595 stops working withine 30 days of i got the phone but after 30 days i put my order. Then no replacement or whatever! I have to buy another phone since i am enrolled in a plan.
I called the customer service and got hung up. My emails got bunced back. Finally i figured out that after I paid money, they don't want to deal with me anymore.
