"Please avoid this company, there are many others out who have much better service. Company seems to be run by only several people and is very likely a scam. An item is ordered, funds are deducted from your credit card or paypal account and no reciept of payment is ever sent out or contact made from Intrumentpro.com Company does not return emails and rarely are you able to contact them by phone. If you do you will be told item is on backorder...or order was not recieved. If you ask for a refund, they will try talking you out of it...and if they do promise to refund your money it will never happen. Do an online search before hand. You will find hundreds of complaints similar to mine!!!"

"I ordered a Fender American Standard Telecaster from instrumentpro.com on March 31st and immediately freaked out when I read some of the reviews here. It was my fault because I didn't do any research before placing the order. I was a complete wreck by the time I got a call from Carlos a few days later. He told me that my guitar had been backordered and probably wouldn't ship out until the first week of May! I was upset but decided to stick it out and to not cancel my order. At least I got a call and he seemed to care. That was good customer service.

I was expecting a long wait but to my surprise, I got an email notification that my guitar had shipped out on April 12th. I finally received it on April 18th and couldn’t be happier! It only took two and a half weeks to get to me after placing my order. I would suggest that instrumentpro indicate what they have in or out of stock on their website but other than that, I am one happy dude and would shop here again.

"The Worst!!! As any musician knows, certain gear can be difficult to find locally and I frequently order pedals, accessories, even guitars and amps through the web. I have never had a problem with any online retailer until InstrumentPro. I ordered a leather gig bag and paid for it on paypal. The site said 5 days shipping to my area. After more than a week of not having a tracking number or even a correspondence email, I called InstrumentPro Customer Service. I didn't get through the first 5 times and when I did I spoke to a belligerent, disgruntled employee who told me that they had no record of my order accept the payment. He tried to take the order on the spot but then they didn’t even have the product i and it would take another 2 weeks to until they received it. When I repeatedly asked to just refund the payment he would try to talk me out of it.
I should have listened to the reviews!!

"ordered a special vocal mic clip from InstrumentPro back on jan 17th, website 5-7 biz days for delivery...it is now Feb 8th and still no mic. I have called twice and both times had very poor service (with attitude). I'm now been told to hope it arrives by the end of February... I will NOT ever use nor recommend this biz to ANYONE. I'm not quite sure how these companies survive."

"Even though I had read bad reviews of Instrument Pro, I purchased a guitar from them in August because it was listed as in stock and priced great. I eventually discovered, after doing some investigation, that the guitar was several month's backordered (not due to be received until November). They never informed me of the backorder status -- I simply received an email stating the item would be dropshipped from the manufacturer. I then emailed them and requested they cancel my order as I did not want to be paying credit card interest charges on a guitar I would have to wait four months to get. They replied that they were processing the refund. I didn't think about the charge further until December when I received notice from Instrument Pro that they were shipping the guitar to me. I then looked at my credit card account and saw that my refund had never gone through. My original cancellation had never been processed.

I emailed and called Instrument Pro several times over the course of several days and eventually (after much effort on my part) was able to make contact with them. They said I could return the guitar to them for a full refund. My shipping tracking shows that they received the returned guitar on December 29. I contacted them on December 29 and was informed by email that I should have my money within 3 -5 business days. It took them three weeks to process my refund. I had to contact them multiple times by phone and email about the processing of the refund. I was often been told they needed to pass my information to another department, etc. -- but no one was able to quickly process my refund. They even told me they submitted a credit memo to a special department for the processing of my refund, but that that department had not responded to the request. The representative informed me he would send another request and to check back in a few days.

I eventually received my refund. However, they still charged me for the outbound shipping, even though, since I requested my item be cancelled long before it shipped and was informed it would be cancelled, the item should never have been shipped in the first place (and I should not be responsible for the shipping). At this point, after all the time and effort I have put into getting my money back, I'm going to let it slide.

"FWIW, stay FAR FAR FAR FAR away from InstrumentPro. I orderd an item online from them because it was cheap. I waited a few days before I received any kind of recognition of the order. I emailed them, asking what the status of the order was, and no response. I then emailed and said if I didn't hear back I would call my CC company and dispute. I got a response in the form of an email FW: to someone somehwere asking the status of the order, but the order number was not in the email. I called the CC company and disputed. No problems, that took care of that.... I thought...

About three weeks later, I notice a bunch charges on my online CC statement that I did not make. Jos. A Bank, Cavenders (some cowboy apparel?), Macys, Macy's, some online florist, yadda yadda yadda... anyhow, about $3k in mechandise total by the time I called my CC company and they ran down the charges.

I suspect 100% that InstrumentPro took my CC information and made all of those fraudulant charges. Thank goodness I am with a CC company that has a superb fraud department.

From now on, no more questionable online stores for me. Amazon, World Music Supply, Musician's Friend, etc. only.

"Here's the crooked game played by instrumentpro.com. First they advertise all this gear. You make a purchase and they process and accept payment. If you use Paypal they process the payment before they ship - even if it is a credit card. What you are never told is that they dont have much of anything in stock and near everything will be put on back order. Of course you don't know any of this at first. At least a day later you will get an email telling you that the items are being ordered from the manufacturer to be direct shipped to you and you should be provided a tracking number within about 48 hours.

This is where you make a decision to either wait or cancel your order. It doesn't matter because you are going to get screwed no matter which choice you make. Now I thought it was pretty lame not to tell your customers you are selling them stuff you dont even have. So I went to cancell my order. Now you can not call or email (You will find out neither gets answered). You have to go to their online form, which is the only method of cancellation they accept (according to their ever changing rules). The form tells you that it takes up to three days (a week during the Holidays) to evaluate your "request". So you fill out the form and from the drop down box you select as the reason for cancellation as, "BACKORDERED". After you complete the form they try to change your purchase terms again by contradicting what they say before you fill out the cancellation form. After they say that they can not cancel if your order has been shipped or processed. It really doesn't matter becasue they are going to deny that you ever completed the form and they never email an acknowledgement that you did complete the form.

This is where the next part of the scam starts. When you start making calls and emails you will get no responses. When you finally get a human that will talk to you on the phone (Micheal Douglas Lee - the crook running the scam) everything will be denied regarding your cancellation and you will be told too late because you item has already shipped from the manufacture. If you can research and get the name of the distributor you will find out that your merchandise was never even ordered or shipped. I'm not joking people. This crap is for real. Now you are never going to get a voluntary refund unless Michael Lee has no choice. That is you can charge back and haven't let things slide on your end. If you screw up you will lose all your money.

Now I know the Instrument Pro website looks like a pro operation, but the fact is this site is operated by a single scam artist. The company does not even belong to the Better Business Bureau (BBB), had tons of unresolved BBB complaints and has an "F" rating with the BBB.

There is a clear patter of fraud with this company and hundreds of people have commented about it on the internet. Why the California Attorney General is too lazy to get of its collective ass and do something is just incredible.

My only advice is you people is STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUD ARTIST. You will be sorry.

"Instrumentpro has got to be one of the worst online retailers I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Do yourself a favor and don't bother.

They had an item in stock (or so they said) that no one else had, so I ordered it. Or thought I did. Because of the backwards way they've implemented paypal on their site, somehow they got my payment, but not my order. They didn't bother telling me that, though, until I contacted them about the order a week later.

So I requested a refund. Instead of refunding my original payment, they sent me the amount through paypal as a payment, which means I had to pay paypal's fees for accepting payments on that "refund." Idiots.

I contacted them about that and never heard back.

Clearly, I didn't learn my lesson, because I went back and tried to order the item again. The second time around, I managed to navigate their payment system, but the item they had, that no one did... they didn't actually have it. They had it drop shipped from the manufacturer to me, and now no one has any info on where it might be.

I opened a dispute through paypal, so hopefully, I'll at least get the money back. Someday.

Please, don't ever order from these guys. They're awful.

"Can I tell you how i really feel about this companies customer service and integrity as as seller?

Terrible!Terrible!Terrible!Terrible!Terrible!Terrible!Terrible!

The item ordered never came, the response to my query as to what happened to my order, was it shipped?...never came, and my refund to my cancelled order is currently listed as a partial refund and the partial refund ...has not been sent.

Please consider my experience with this company before you decide that the rewards for the "deal" is greater than the risk of disappointment and fraud for false advertisement and false integrity of a seller for a product that paid for but not received.

"I ordered a Roland BA-330 speaker from Instrument Pro last week, I believe it was Tuesday. After not receiving any emails about my order (except for the notification of a charge to my card) I called them on Friday. They told me the item was back ordered and should be getting some in Monday or Tuesday. Today I found out that they credited my account for the item. I like the fact that they credited my account but I don't like having to call to find out the item is not in stock. Most websites let you know that before you order it. I order the item with Sweetwater.com this morning. It may cost me a little extra but it's worth my peace of mind. After talking to Instrument pro an hour ago I must down grade my opinion of them. After ordering from Sweetwater I get an email from instrumentpro stating that my order is be shipped. I called them and tell that I tried canceling my order using there email system. They tell me it's too late and that I can't refuse the package and will incur a re-stocking fee. My credit card company tells me that their charge was declined so how can my order be shipped. Further more FedEx says you can decline any package. Too shady for me. I received another email with a Fedex tracking number but Fedex has no record of it in their system."

"I thought I'd give these guys the benefit of the doubt despite all the negative things I read, but these guys are clearly scam artists. I placed an order over a week ago and it never shipped. I just called and had a 'customer service' person do me the huge favor of checking on the order (with massive 'tude). He put me on hold then told me that the 'warehouse manager' said they're on back order and it could take over thirty days to get it from the manufacturer. I seriously doubt these guys have a warehouse or proper managers; I'm thinking this is run out of someone's garage. If they would have contacted me or indicated that the item was not in stock prior to ordering I might not have been so upset, but no contact is totally unacceptable. Don't be fooled or waste your time with these clowns - totally unprofessional and clearly dishonest. Believe the negative reviews!!!"

"I dealt with InstrumentPro last week and after ordering a $200+ wireless mic for my Audio-Technica, which by the way was the cheapest I found anywhere, I received an email with my order info on it and the email said the tracking number would follow soon. The Tracking number never came and I started getting concerned. I started reading all the negative reviews which made me ill, but kept calling and they assured me of the order etc. I never received the tracking number and so I called Mike back and he assured me that I would be able to get it by Friday which is when I really needed it. By Thursday, I still had not heard anything, but Mike said to trust him that it will be overnighted and arrive Friday. Sure enough, it arrived Friday, brand new and works great.

I am sorry I doubted. I never had an issue getting them on the phone etc, but the only draw-back was the miss-information around getting me a tracking number. I am pretty sure they lost money on my purchase, because they ended up paying for the overnight when it got delayed.

Thanks Instrument Pro

"Item is, normally, "fair-traded" by Yamaha for $1,000; InstrumentPro advertised it (Google and their own site) for $700. After confirming order, next day I get eMail declaring "out of stock and no longer available from the manufacturer." ... which I believe to be a royal flying canard. "... your order is cancelled."

Item is not only still available at many other vendors (for $1,000, rather than InstrumentPro's advertised $700), it is endorsed by Lee Ritenour on Yamaha's web site.

I suspect that Instrument advertised their cost, rather than price ... or it's just a low-ball ad. You decide from whom you dare buy ... integrity counts when choosing a vendor.

"Just wanted to give feedback on my recent experience with purchasing a Casio AP 620 piano. In my search for lowest price, I found InstrumentPro to be slightly lower than others anywhere. When I got to ordering, I was told about the \"open box\" special that offered a price 25% lower than everyone else. As it turned out, I received a brand new unopened unit directly from the manufacturer for that low price. Until I received it, I was skeptical, but everything was done as I was told to expect. I couldn\'t be happier and will definitely look to this website for future purchases."
