"Beaware of Indiaplaza.in . I Ordered Rakhi's online last month , (I planned a month ago), Till today Aug 24th 2010, Out of 4 orders, 3 orders shows shipped on 20th August.

I called my cousins, One of them got the damaged items and Sweet itme was missing. Another Cousin did not receive it. Another one received one item instead of 2 items One order is still shows pending . I paid using the icici online payments. Now having a hard time contacting their customer care. I called twice and was holding the line for 10minutes(from USA). NO ONE Responded. I hung up. Sent several service tickets online. No response. How do I approach them now?

Here is the details

N2507100031 - Sweet item is missing
IN2507100029 - damaged goods received
IN2507100027 - shows shipped a week back. No items received yet.

Not sure where to complain in India.

"From Indiaplaza you may get the defective product and Indiaplaza will ask you to contact the service center nstead of replacing by there own.
I had ordered BPL Tourch from India plaza, after delivery I have found that the torch was faulty on arrival. I had requested to replace the faulty torch. They reverted that the torch is having warranty from BPL and they asked me to contact BPL.
On Indiaplaza revert I had raised the below quiries,
1) Why should I approch the BPL to repair?
2) Why should I used the repaired torch?
3) BPL service center does not cover the warranty for all parts of the torch.
4) As per BPL Service policy the bill has to signed and stamped by dealer, In my case it was not signed/stamoped by Indiaplaza.
Till date I have not recived any response from Indiaplaza, the worst thing is that they dont have any number where you can approch them.
Faulty torch recived from India plaza is still with me. You can refer the complaint number CNT18100012350693 which I had raised at Indiaplaza site http://www.indiaplaza.in/CustomerSupport/CustomerFeedback.aspx

"I have ordered the item on 17th may 2009, as per the info in the site i should get my item within max of 10 days.I called the customer care for checking the status and they are promising to call me back but no reply.When i am reverting nobody is lifting the call.This is the first exp with a customer service and i can say precisely that this is the worst customer service center that i ever come across.Dont be cheat and please pass this to all of your friends."

"I ordered $132 worth of DVDs as a birthday present for someone and to date, have NO information about when the order will be fulfilled. The company charged me for the full amount the day of the order. The birthday is tomorrow and unfortunately I will not have anything to give my friend. I have called NUMEROUS times this week only to get the answering machine. I left voicemail two times with no call back. I have sent 3 emails with no response. I am incredibly underwhelmed by the experience and will do as the others did on this message board: call my credit card company, dispute the charge, and take my business elsewhere."

"I ordered items worth $117. They delivered for items worth $16 to India and also charged a shipping fee of $25 on top of that. It has been almost a month and they have not delivered the remaining items. I called them up several times but it goes to the voicemail and the message says that the voicemail is full. I am not even able to leave a message! I sent them a couple of email messages but still no response. It is clear it is a fraudulent company. I have reported to immigration authorities so that they will get deported. We don't need people like this in this country giving the rest of their countrymen a bad name."

"Ordered some Indian groceries. Charged immediately.
(Note they don't even bother calculating shipping - why bother if you don't plan to ever ship!)

Waited the "15 business days" to complain, they responded that the order would be cancelled and credit issued. (Ritu Kapoor, customer service Indiaplaza.com)

4 days later - ain't happened.

Escalated to credit card company at the moment. Absolutely not to do business with.

"Fraudulent store.

Placed an order on 1-23-2006
Credit card was charged for the full amount on 1-24-2006
All dvds were said to be shipped within 2-3 days and I chose priority mail.
Emailed them the next day to correct the billing address because their website screwed up and used an old one.
Emailed them 2 days later to ask the status of the order.
Received a response 2 days later saying 2 of the DVDs shipped. (1-27-2006)
Emailed back asking how much longer for the others.
Received a response 2 days later saying at least a week.
Waited 3 days till (2-1-2006) and emailed asking bout the status of the rest of the DVDs as well as a delivery confirmation #.
Received a generic email message back 2 days later saying they'll look into it.
By now it's 2-3-2006 and no sign of the original 2 dvds.
Emailed them again asking for the information and didn't get a response back.
Finally I sent an email demanding a real response back or I'll be disputing the charge as well as filing a complaint with the BBB.
Received a generic response back.
At this point it'd been about 2 weeks since they charged my credit card and I received nothing.
I tried calling the 2 phone numbers numerous times and either it'd tell me the account is not working or it'd transfer me to a voice mail box that was full.
I ended up disputing the charge with American Express as well as filing the complaint. I also emailed the thieves and let them know about this.
I received a reply today (2-6-2006) stating that they've gone ahead and cancelled my order and issued a refund.
My response, of course, is why did they lie to me about shipping the 2 dvds.


Bottom line: Stay away from this store. They're nothing but a bunch of thieves. I ended up going with Nehaflix.com and they shipped out my dvds the day after I placed my order.

"Last year I ordered a film dvd. After a month they told that it was not available and are cancelling the order. One month later I checked on their website again and I saw it it and ordered again. I got the DVD in one week. After two days I got same DVD with a Credit Card charge. The customer service mailed me that DVD was on back order. When I asked them for returning it as I ordered and got same DVD from the one week back - I was blutntly sent a copy of thei No Return policy and left with 2 dvds.

Stay away and save your money!

"After 15 days the order was not delivered, but cerdit card was charged on same day. After contacting the service, first they said that they did not have the address and on second day they said that they do not have the credit card info, so they did not ship the order. They charge the credit card but then the reason for not shipping is that they do not have the credit card info. Now for last 3 days when I call then all I get is their answering machine."

"Ordered DVD 3 weeks ago, still not received. Don't even see the status of order. Sent an email to customer service, after 4-5 days reply comes back saying as soon as they get in stock, I will receive it. But website never says 'out of stock'. "Bought a set of DVDs from them for about 40 dollars. The amount was charged right away. And I expected the order to be shipped soon. Waited for almost 10 days and the shipment is nowhere in sight. Emailed them, and they reply saying they have "placed an order" for the DVDs and will ship them soon. So they first CHARGE for the DVDs, and then PLACE the order. So I wait another week, and shoot another email. The response is "will ship soon. Sorry for the inconvenience". And I had been emailing all this time because they customer service number goes to voicemail!!!! So a few days after that, while randomly trying to call them, bingo, someone picks up the customer service number, and he assured me that he will ship the DVDs (except one, for which they had been waiting all this time, and I have to run behind them all this time for information and this is almost after 2 weeks of placing the order, and they dont even have the courtesy to call or email me themselves) the same day. Another week has passed, and I havent heard back from them. In short, this was a gift for an occasion, which passed because of these guys not doing anything about the order. Do NOT do business with them unless you want to pull your hair in agony."
