"I ordered a pair of Crocs from Hudson Trail Outfitters on May 19th. On May 21st, I received a notification that the order had shipped. On June 1st, I contacted HTO to inquire about my order which I still hadn't received. I had to leave a message because they don't answer the phone.

HTO called me and said that there had been a mixup and my shoes were sent to another customer. They said that they contacted that customer and asked her to send back the shoes and that once the shoes were returned to them, they would ship them to me. I asked why they couldn't just ship me some other shoes and deal with the return on their own. They gave some goofy excuse about it would be easier to keep it straight!

It's June 4th and I still haven't heard anything from them in regards to a shipping date. Of course, they charged my charge card back on 5/24.

"Hudson Trail Outfitters has problems fulfilling orders and has poor customer service.

My wife and I ordered two pairs of hiking pants for a backpacking trip. According to the Hudson Trail Outfitters website, they are supposed to ship the order within 2 business days and shipping would take 5 business days at most. After 3 business days, I had not received a shipment notification so I called them. The customer service representative could not tell me the status of my order and could not tell me when it would ship. The customer service representative would not change the order to expedited shipping. I asked to speak to the manager, got his voicemail, and left a message. The manager never called me back. The order finally shipped after 4 business days. It was delivered after we left for our backpacking trip. One pair of pants was the wrong color, so they couldn't even fill the order correctly. I emailed them to complain about the poor service, but they never replied. We returned the pants and ended up losing the cost of the shipping both ways. Their website claims "Hudson Trail Outfitters always renders Positively Outrageous Service", but it's obvious they just don't care. I contacted them 4 different times and they never did anything.
