"It looks I have the same complaints as every other victim. I ordered a blender jar and the webstore didn't give any indication that it was out of stock. Four days later I was told that the item was "on backorder" and received an estimated ship date a week out. Three weeks later the cycle repeated. Eventually they offered of a substitute jar with the appropriate cap. I accepted and they promised to send a tracking number when the order shipped. I haven't heard anything since and they stopped responding to emails."

"Ordered Oster clipper blade replacement on 5/13/11 and as of today I still don't have an order from them and they also charged my credit card the day the order was placed. That is
very unusual and it should have been a red flag. Every time
I call I'm told the order will be in on Monday. Which Monday?
I'm going to try to get my money back LOL! DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE! I'm sure they are a scam or are about to file bankruptcy in which case, kiss your money goodby. I think they
are using the web site to secure orders, which they never fill.

"I ordered a set of hair clippers and attachments on 4/5/11 and I still have not received them. The company is supposedly based out of Niles, IL and I live in Chicago, IL so I know shipping shouldn't take a whole month. I called customer service and they said my package would get here on 4/25 and they provided a tracking # but told me I wouldn't able to track till after 5pm. Checked tracking number the next day and it still didn't register with ups or usps website. Don't do business with this site unless you like to be screwed over."

"I ordered a set of mixing bowls and beaters in mid-December, and only received the bowls yesterday (4/20), and the beaters are STILL on backorder! Every time I inquired, I was informed it would be 2-4 more weeks.

In addition, it is very difficult to reach customer service personnel.

"I ordered some replacement Sunbeam beaters that were supposedly on backorder but they were delivered within less than two weeks. However, the beaters looked very scratched up and dented. They also were delivered in a beat-up Big Lots box, wrapped in newspaper. I believe these were used parts. I called to complain about it and to ask for a refund or replacement, and while the initial customer service person was not helpful, I was able to speak to a manager, Juanita, who assured me that the beaters were new but that they come in a bin and probably got scratched up that way. She said they would ship a replacement pair of beaters, however. It has now been about a month and not only have I not received the new beaters but repeated calls to the manager have gone unanswered. I would not order from this place again."

"I needed to purchase a guide comb set for my trimmer. It only costs about $10 and weighs just a few ounces. The website calculated a shipping charge via UPS of $12. I called the place and asked if they could ship via the postal service which would be much cheaper. They guy said he would ship it for $4.95 via priority mail. When I received the package, they sent it via first class postage for $1.05. I emailed the guy asking for a refund of the difference and he refused to answer my emails and I was never refunded the difference. Before I placed the order the entire phone conversation was how to purchase this low cost low weight item for the cheapest shipping. He charged me a priority rate but shipped it for a much cheaper method. That savings should have been passed along to me."

"I broke the bowl from my old Sunbeam mixer and Household Appliance was one of 2 stores that had a replacement. I ordered from them because they were closer.
The website would not let me checkout for some reason so I had to phone in my order. The person who helped me was not very warm and she made it seem like I was bothering her by placing an order. She said the bowl was "in stock".
I waited a week and hadn't gotten the bowl yet so I decided to call in. I believe the same person helped me because she sounded the same and was rather rude yet again. After being placed on hold, she said the bowl would be shipped that day (5 business days after I placed my order). I believe this is unacceptable... 5 business days to ship something that was "in stock"???? I was never told while I ordered that it may take that long to ship the order.
VERY slow, now I know better than to order from these guys.

"Don't bother with this site! Ordered some clippers that would arrive 7-14 business days. After a week I called for a status; they would have them in and ready to ship that Friday. Another week later I called again for status; they were still waiting to get them in. Canceled the order, bought them from J&R Music and had them in 2 days! At no point during the ordering process did Household indicate this was not in stock and/or on back order. I gave them enough leeway to get them in, but 2+ weeks is very unreasonable."

"Company is very unreliable. After repeatedly asking for a tracking number, the replied only with a message that the item had shipped. In fact, the item had not been shipped. It has now been almost over 2 weeks and I still don't know if the item has shipped. Use this site only as a last resort."
