"I will never use this website again. I am not usually one to write reviews or complain, but in this instance I find it necessary in order to possibly save someone else from being ripped off. I booked a room for one night, hours prior to using the room, and was told it would cost $139.95 and that I would receive an email confirmation for the booking. I never received the email and upon checking out the next morning was told that I was unable to get a receipt for the room as it was not booked through the hotel. When I got my credit card statement I noticed that I was charged $196.09 for the night. I tried to call multiple times in order to resolve my issue. The first time I was told that the additional $56.14 was for "taxes and service fees". I asked for an itemized receipt and was told one would be mailed to me. When I got the receipt it wasn't itemized and only showed the total. I called numerous (four) times after and was either disconnected after holding for an average of 20 minutes or was told that someone would call me back within 15 - 20 minutes, which never happened. When I finally got through to a supervisor, Tony, I was told that I "agreed to the additional charges by using the room". I told him that I had not been told about the extra charges and he basically told me it was too bad because I used the room. He was rude and unapologetic for their terrible business practices. I will be disputing the additional charges with my credit card company. If I could rate them a zero I would!"

"Hotel savings.com is a RIP OFF, First of all they charge your credit card immediately when you book. I later found out at the hotel that I was charged 84.00 more by Hotelsavings.com than the hotel for a 3 day stay at a Hotel in Atlanta on 9/4 - 9/7. I was charged 470.00 by Hotelsavings.com and the hotel inadvertently put the bill under my door for 386.10 although the room was pre-paid. When I called the telephone number with area code 855 and the one on my American Express Bill beginning with area code 210, Guess What, they both go to the Phillipines, where Marj (lol) told me to check with my bank, she was rude, and totally blew me off. Beware of these 3rd party scams that are charging you more than booking with the hotel directly. I am now disputing the overcharge with AMEX."

"In reading the reviews, I see I am far from being the only person who thinks HotelSavings.com is a criminal organization. I booked a reservation through them, then found a better deal through the actual hotel website (The Menger in San Antonio). I immediately canceled the criminal reservation, but they billed me anyway. I disputed the charge on my credit card, but they came back with a pack of lies about how I was a no-show at the hotel. That's a blatant lie, as I have the paid invoice to prove I was there. I am still trying to get this resolved, and I now have the accounting department of the hotel working with me, and these thugs have no idea how far I will go to fight injustice.
One other observation about HotelSavings...their website is hosted by GoDaddy, which is a strong indicator that they are not reputable. No offense to GoDaddy intended, it is just that most reputable companies do not use such hosting vendors for their site hosting services. GoDaddy is mostly used by real people, not by legitimate companies who would want more control over their website performance tuning and other technical jargon which I will spare you from having to read. A startup company might use GoDaddy, but not for long if it is successful. A reliable company, as HotelSavings claims to be, would never use such a service. It shows a lack of business maturity, and probably a lack of funds to host a business site properly in the first place.
I would STRONGLY recommend that you never use this crooked company. They seem to rip people off as a matter of standard business practice, when I expect they are just some guy in shorts and a t-shirt, sitting in his dorm room pumped full of caffeine and sugar, trying to make you think he is a legitimate business."
"I cancelled the booking with minutes both via phone and online, as I did not realize the taxes involved was more than the room rate and it was above my budget. My credit card got charged for the full amount, the case is pending with the credit card company.
Calling them is a total waste of time as it goes to some foreign country where they do not provide any answer or solution."
"WE booked a reservation on hotel savings.com for 2 nights in New Orleans. They gave us a price and i booked it for around $450. When I went to my online banking, they charged me $511 and then an additional $9.99!!!!! I never received a confirmation for the room and went to their website. I saw my confirmation but when I went to email it again, it said the website wasn't working. Then I hit the cancel button trying to see if it would come to a different screen. It went to the same broken website screen. Then I clicked back and my non-refundable reservation was CANCELLED!!!!!!!!!!!
