"Purchased a home network system but did not receive all the items in my shipment. Contacted them about the missing items and was told they would look into it and call me back. They never called. I had to call multiple times. It took 2 weeks to re-send missing items. Opened the box and still missing the remote for the keypads. Contacted again and was told they will look into it. I'm still waiting on the remote. Their customer service is not proactive in researching items and their response to everything is, "we'll look into it and let you know". Ummm, no you're not. I will not purchase from them again.
Looks like I'm not the only one after seeing the last review.

"Customer service before ordering was great. Now that I got most of my order I've been having a heck of time trying to get them to ship out a product that was left off of my order. They keep telling me they will look into it and get back to me (and don't). They're quick to respond, which is nice, but I just don't get the info that I'm looking for. "

"I spent about a $1000 on a NextAlarm system from Home Tech Store and it was ready and shipped a couple days later. They had UPS call me a day ahead to make sure somebody was home to sign for the package. It was an easy transaction overall. "

"This was a battery for the Alarm System that I ordered in 2004. As with the original order I received my order on the date specified and it was packed very well. The battery solved my alarm problems and when I need additional parts or a new system I will order from Home Technology Store. Very well satisfied."

"This is a great company and the people are very professional. The staff really know their products unlike just about every other website company or big store.

I had a local company start to wire my home for music in each room and for a home theater. The local company wanted way more than I wanted to spend for the equipment and installation.

I worked with one of the designers at Home Technology Store and they put together a system that I cound install myself! I was nervous about doing this becuase I am not the most handy person. They designed everything right and the install was a lot easier than I thought it wold be. I must have called 10 times for little pointers and they always took the time to help me.

I am going back to Home Technology Store for all my future needs! THANK YOU!

"Very professional. I wish they had a better phone ordering system in place. When you call and say you would like to order something they refer you to their website. Sometimes its better to order through a actual person to make sure you get exactly what your looking for."

"Products I purchased are great and reliable. I price them into almost every bid I do. My NUMBER ONE complaint is the amount of time it takes to get equipment delivered. My 3 other distributors are able to supply me with equipment within 2 days - except the occasional backorder. Maybe it's just the specific equipment I typically order from Home Tech Store, but it seems that every order I make takes over a week to receive. I order and purchase per custom install, and my customers typically do not want to wait that long. If I knew I could get product in my hands faster, I would likely price more equipment from Home Tech Store into my bids, FYI. Perhaps you guys could try to keep 1 or 2 of every item on hand at your warehouse, rather than order when I purchase something. Thanks."

"This store has at least two URLs: http://www.home-technology-store.com and http://www.hometechnologystore.com.

I purchased the 'ABN Broadband Adapter' from their store. After several months of trying out this adapter, I realized it wasn't going to work out. So I sent an email asking the Home Technology Store if they would take this Adapter back and give me a refund.

They replied with an email saying: "Follow this link for a return RMA:
http://www.home-technology-store.com/returns.aspx"

I sent another email saying "Does this mean you will waive the 30-day requirement at the web site?"

They replied with "We have received your inquiry and are assigning it to a representative. You can expect to receive a response from us within one business day."

After several days I sent a couple more emails with no response. I didn't expect they would take the Adapter back and give me a full refund, but I thought maybe they would at least be talk to me and see if any deal could be worked out. But to not even reply at all to me about it just seems like a huge Red Flag to me.

They have some complaints at the Better Business Bureau (BBB) web site at http://minnesota.app.bbb.org/report/96003630.

They might not be the worst company, but they sure are not the best. I will not buy from them again if for no other reason than their poor customer support.
