"I had a poor experience with this company. They had the best price on the treadmill I was looking for after a 5% discount but it does not count if they don't have a product to deliver.

I always had to call to check on the status of my order, every time I was told that I would be called back within an hour to get confirmation. It never happened. After telling me that the model I ordered was being upgraded and that I would be getting the more expensive upgrade for no additional cost, I decided to wait a bit longer.

After more than 6 weeks I called to cancel my order and then ordered a Sole treadmill from the factory. I had one delivered within a week!

"I placed an order for an elliptical machine from HomeGymCentral on May 5th - my mom had done all the research, found a great deal, and asked me to order it. I called in and spoke to a nice young man who assured me that the machine was in stock (I'd found two other sources with similar pricing who did not have stock) and placed my order, telling me I would receive an e-mail with my order information. Over the course of the next two weeks, I called a handful of times, sent e-mails to the customer service department, and finally sent e-mails to all of the addresses I could find on their site. Someone from sales e-mailed me to apologize, and got me a copy of my invoice, and let me know that my order was on hold due to waiting for me to fax back a copy of the invoice. I got an e-mail shortly after that letting me know that they had waived that requirement, and that they'd "personally" get my tracking information out to me shortly.

After another week of no contact, I e-mailed that person back, and got no response. I tried Customer Service, again to no response. I finally started sending the 'bulk' e-mails again, and after ANOTHER week, I got an e-mail telling me "I'm not sure why they didn't contact us sooner, but the unit is no longer available." I did not get an apology (seriously!) but I was given the 'option' to cancel or order a different unit. I wasted a month of my time (and have to explain to my mother that her "Mother's Day" present will be another three weeks before coming) waiting on their customer service department, and didn't even get an apology. I thought I'd warn you that this company puts quite a lot of emphasis on good pricing, and neglects to take care of their

To HomeGymCentral, in the hopes that someone in the upper ranks cares: Thanks for nothing, JoAnna and Mat - I hope you feel pretty low (heck, I hope your boss reads this and gives you a hard time) for ignoring me long enough to let this happen. If your salesperson hadn't given me false information, if your CS staff had actually answered me, and if ANYONE on your staff cared enough about my order to do some research sometime in the last month, maybe I wouldn't be posting this on every board I can find. People deserve a warning before they order from a company with "service" like yours. Oh well - your bad, not mine =)
