Poor customer service

" Somehow, the address got mixed up. The address that it’s being sent to is not even on my PayPal account. I tried to call as soon as I got the email stating that it was going to the wrong address. The after hours representative couldn’t even help me. I called at 7:56 AM. And they are supposed to open up at 8 AM. My order still says awaiting shipment but they said they couldn’t help me because it’s already in the process. There should be an option to cancel an order or change it if it hasn’t been shipped out yet. This is probably one of the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me. And I will never order from this company again."

Products Have Terrible Chemical Smell

"After receiving the shipment, I opened all the products & they had a terrible stench, not joke they stunk. So, I thought ok soak them in hot soapy water overnite, NOPE, didn't help one bit. I went to the website to contact CUSTOMER SERVISERVICE & the link doesn't work. Then I contacted my credit card co. to get there contact info & called them. The lady whom I spoke with was nice & sent an RMA# via email right away. But here my biggest issue with this company, they DON'T SEND/GIVE A RETURN LABEL & WILL CHARGE & KEEP 20% calling it a RESTOCKING FEE, and to refer to their RETURN POLICY. So, I called them on it stating the product is LESS THAN acceptable & NOT as describe on website also defective and cheap quality. Wish there was ZERO rating, DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, product is CHEAP"

This company ****, and not in a good way.

"I ordered the Hitachi Magic Wand (with a cord) and was sent a knock off "Magic Wand" by Intertek that was rechargeable. Customer service said they would send a return authorization via email. After two more calls, each time they said they did send the RA via email, and I never received it. I even gave them an alternate email address and still no response. I admit that I got angry with the CS representative because, for one thing, she told me that what I received was Hitachi and that the "Magic Wand" part of the name was the important part. There are many knock off brands that call their product "Magic Wand". I truly wish I had never come across this company. If I could give them less than one star, I would."

"I think this company has some of the poorest customer service I've ever had. Quality was ok, but there were some problems with the item and the run around I got was horrendous. shipping fair. It took several calls to get anyone to help me and then almost 8 weeks to get it resolve.d Never again."

"I ordered from Healthy and Active through Amazon.com and can't figure out how to give feedback without an account somewhere. So here I am.

I received exactly what I'd ordered from H and A, which is unusual since even the old-school US mail-order companies (Sears, Penney's) have ripped me off.

H and A could have used less packaging. The package was too large for my mailbox, although I've ordered a similar product elsewhere that fit (bubble envelope rather than a cardboard box). I missed the carrier, so I had to pick the package up this time.

I'm surprised at the low rating here. I'd five-star this purchase if I hadn't had to stop at the post office.

"i ordered from h&a before i seen this page, otherwise i would not have ordered.i live in Alaska,and am used to mail taking a week or more.i am glad i didnt see this page first,and i NEVER write reviews.but with all the bashing on here i had to speak up.my order was complete intact and unused.i had the cheapest means of shipping,7.95 i think it was.got my order in less than 1 week.wife comes home tomarrow,cant wait:) "

"Placed an order on a Thursday. Decided less then one hour later to place a cancellation. On Saturday I had not yet gotten confirmation that they had cancelled the order and my CC had been charged. I sent another email requesting cancellation.

On Monday I got the following email.

"Thank you for your order!

Unfortunately once an order has been placed, it usually cannot be canceled. Due to the streamlined nature of our processing, orders are sent immediately to shipping and we are usually unable to retrieve individual packages due to the high volume of orders.

I checked for your order specifically, and it has already been committed and cannot be retrieved. I sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause."

What is interesting, is that on Thursday when I placed the order I requested expedited shipping. With their "streamlined service" , I figured the package was already shipped and on its way. Not the case it turns out. They printed out the label and shipped the package on Monday...

So we got all day Friday in which their office could have cancelled the order. We also have Monday that they could have cancelled the order. Instead they told me it couldn't be cancelled due to a streamlined process and shipped it to me almost 4 days after I ordered it, 2 business days. This company failed. The only thing positive I will say about the company is that they do have cheap prices on their products. Hopefully what I get will not be a total waste of money.

"I ordered a product from this crappy place. The product description was totally misrepresented. I called and the lady said she would contact the manufacturer. I never heard from them again. I would NEVER purchase from this company again. The customer service is non-existant. The "I don't give a damn" attitude is repulsive."

"placed order 12/31 just after 5am. Paid for OVERNIGHT shipping. Item still had not shipped out as of 1/2. If they were not operating on 12/31, they should have provided notification. Finally on 1/4 their site shows it shipped on 1/3. However, as of 1/4 end of day, it's still not reflecting shipped by USPS tracking number. What a joke. After reading some of the other reviews here I wish I'd checked that first. I'm crossing my fingers that my items arrive UNUSED and intact and functioning.... and sometime in the next few weeks. I'll post again after receiving the items, but at this point, just don't waste your money one expedited shipping. It's anything BUT. Also even though the item was shipped to me, because we used my husband's credit card to pay for the order, when I called they refused to even tell me IF the order had shipped.

Lesson learned: just because some website has the lowest price around doesn't mean you're getting the best deal. Buyer beware.


***update 1/5/13 - order received. I guess I'm just spoiled with the fast turn around I've received when ordering from other sites.***

"I live in Spain and bought cheap items. Had some doubts, and the customer service replied to all my e-mail messages, explaining me in detail the shipment procedures. (it seems the guys who move it within your country to you are your local postal service). The customs are specific of your country, information about mine were available in forums and in Correos website.
The light package did not arrive late, as some people suggest, but rather on time. Nothing missing and no malfunctions (tested). I was greatly surprised.
Other people's experiences were bad, but mine wasn't in the least bit. It's VERY likely I'll buy sex toys there again, taking advantage of euro-dollar exchange rates.
So, yeah: 5/5.

"I too was unable to get a refund on an unopened package. Healthy and Active claims to be a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB). I don't see how. I went to the BBB website and looked for Healthy and Active in the member directory under their purported membership name, XR. LLC. They weren't listed, so I notified the BBB of the possible faudulent use of the BBB trademark on the Healthy and Active homepage. If it turns out afterall that SR. LLC is a member of the BBB, I'll then file a complaint against the company on the BBB website. Hopefully, the rest of you dissatisfied Heathy and Active customers will do the same. If nothing else, the company will lose its "member in good standing" rating. "

"Extrordinarily bad customer service, extremely poor communication skills. The reps are rude and blatant liars. This company does NOT state information correctly about shipping. I paid for fast shipping and I'm still waiting for my package to arrive well beyond the estimated delivery time. Very flimsy excuses on the part of the company and cust. service reps regarding this. And the last time I checked the Canadian dollar was worth more than the US but I got overcharged. These people need to learn how to do currency conversions. This is the very worst experience I have ever encountered ordering a product from anyone. I order from over seas quite regularily and have never had a problem...always lightening fast shipping, never have any problems with being charged the correct amount. The US is'nt even overseas from Canada and this company Healthy and Active is a joke. They conduct business very poorly and I will be letting everyone I know thinking of ordering any kind of products that this company sells to steer very clear from them. Nothing but complete disgust regarding Healthy and Active. Do NOT use this company for any of your needs!!! Have already directed my complaint to BBB."

"It took over a month to get my order. For some reason it was just never delivered to me. I called them and they sent it finally. It was broken within 15 minutes. I will never buy from this company again.

I had read reviews here about the delays in getting orders from them. I just never thought it would happen to me. I think I will heed the reviews next time!

"Buyer Beware!

This company WILL REFUSE to cancel or refund ANY order made….even if it has not yet been shipped. I placed an order and realized I had made a mistake. Less than an hour later I submitted a cancelation request and was refused. The representative cited some nonsense regarding “due to their ‘streamlined’ customer service (mind you this is on the 3rd of December….I’m writing this on the 5th and the shipment STILL hasn’t been sent so when they say streamlined I don’t know what screwed up standard they are using) they could not cancel my order. I replied I’d just return to sender when it came in at which point I was directed to their “policy” page which states nothing can be returned period. Once it leaves the warehouse it’s considered “used”…even if it hasn’t been so much as touched or opened by anyone. NO reputable company would entrap their customers like that. I can understand not taking returns that have been opened, but come on not taking orders still sealed in the original packaging and shipping box….seriously???? Just think before you order, folks. According to their “policy” they have enough loop holes to never have to refund an honest claim….ever. I’m out nearly $40.00 for absolutely no reason other than expecting this company to be as honest as any other company I’ve dealt with in the past through Amazon. Make darn sure you are willing to get mauled before swimming with these sharks.
