"First off: I'm extremely pleased with my purchase experience with H1Photo. Read on for details.

My wife is a newly independent pro photographer and in the market for a full Nikon D200 outfit.

After searching on some 'price checker' sites and comparing sellers' ratings on resellerratings (the scammy sites had the D200 for around $800 as of Oct 20) I had concluded that I should legitamtly expect to get only about $100 off the commonly available $1700 price until I found H1.

The site says they are a division of 'Cardinal Camera' and an 'authorized Nikon dealer' so I called Nikon to verify (Cardinal Camera is) then called Cardinal Camera to verify that H1Photo was actually 'Cardinal Camera' (they are).

At just over $200 off I thought "that could be a legit price" and went ahead and placed the order (D200, SB800 flash, Tamron 18-200 lens) all the time fearing the e-mail requesting me to 'confirm' my order (if you don't know what I'm talking about, find a super cheap priced new camera and punch the seller into resellerratings).

I got a phone message a few hours later asking for a call back to 'confirm' the order (darn it!!) but also got an e-mail with a UPS tracking number that indicated that UPS had posession of the package (what did they ship me if they still wanted me to confirm the order?).

Called H1 on Oct 19 and was told that they think my order had actually shipped (and no hard sell) 'thanks for the business'.

Placed order on Oct 18 it's Oct 20 and my order just arrived (UPS ground shipping from PA to GA). Everything I ordered was in the well packaged box (3 smaller manufacturer boxes in an outer shipping box which had a minor hole/ding in it; no damage to the Nikon or Tamron packages).

Everything seems to be as ordered. Nothing seems to be grey market or used/restocked. All USA warranties. Appear to be new factory packaging (there are no tape seals so I can't confirm) with all accessories and paperwork present. I haven't powered the stuff on so don't yet know if everything is functional (it's my wife's stuff).

I haven't yet verified that I was billed properly.

Though there are plenty of web prices lower than H1, I think they might be the lowest priced legitimate seller (for the D200 anyway).

The $30 shipping charge for an 8# package was a bit excessive (UPS reported an 8# package) but quite acceptable considering the discount on the rest of the order.

If the equipment functions properly and I was billed properly, then I must agree with the current "10" rating that H1Photo has (and the slightly lower 'price' rating probably reflects those $800 D200's that no one ever actually gets for $800)."

"After canceling three previous orders with so-called "too-good-to-be-true" merchants, even calling my credit card company to freeze my credit card account when I realized they tried to sell me an out of stock item, I've found this little known but obviously very professional and honest dealer, near Philapelphia. My Nikon D200 body (almost everywhere else sold out these weeks) even came one day earlier, last Wednesday [with an additional extended 2-years Nikon USA warranty]. Prevoius guys tried to sell me a camera body which they advertised for $1,400.00. But suddenly, a charger, battery, USB/video cables became "extra", and with various "must" have items became a $2,400 for a "body-kit" proposition(sic!), once I got hooked.
