Do not waste your money time or effort!

"GunBroker comes off as eBay for guns. Ha! There is essentially nobody to talk to for help and they ignore all requests. Seller ST Auctions / Jaden Chace Smith did not ship me my Shot gun or pistol. I only got my money back due to a chargeback dispute with my credit card company. "

They protect their top Sellers- NOT THE BUYERS

"I attempted to leave a negative review regarding Bryant Ridge only to have them take it down without warning or justification and refused to replace it obviously because they are in their top 25.
I won a $5025.00 Bryant Ridge Auction only to receive a second rate refinished gun that in no way represented the auction description. When I told them I was returning the gun after having it examined by Colt experts they suddenly found the correct gun. They however refused to ship the correct one until they got the bad one, even though they had $5000.00 of my money. They cost me double shipping and ffl fees, they then promised to reimburse those fees but of course NEVER DID.
Gunbroker refused to post this truthful statement.

THE GUNBROKER SELLER HAS THE HOMEFIELD ADVANTGE

"GunBroker Customer Support gives the homefield advantage to the seller and shows scant interest in the game. GunBroker Customer Support has no phone number and in my case has not responded to my fax or emails.

Dishonest sellers have learned that they have the upper hand and can Stonewall attempts to be held accountable. The buyer has little to no recourse through GunBroker Customer Support.

(Four months ago), the seller listed a GunBroker auction for an "03-A3 Stock in Good Condition". The auction opened at $45. I was the only bidder. I sent a USPS Money Order to the seller, with shipping added. The seller substituted a Sporterized 03-A3 stock for the stock described in the auction.

I contacted the seller through the GunBroker messaging system and politely suggested that he may have shipped the wrong item.

The seller replied that I could return the stock for a refund, but did not address the issue of it not being as described or of reimbursement for original or return shipping.

Emails from the seller were blustery, off point, and condescending.

The seller said I had purchased a $45 stock, not a $250 stock. I replied that I had purchased what was described in his auction and contested his right to substitute an item of lesser value for the item he listed.

I stated that I would accept a USPS Money Order from the seller in the amount of the winning bid and the two-way shipping cost. The seller stopped responding to my emails.

I filed a Fraud report with GunBroker, to include faxing all pertinent transaction documents and proof of payment and followed up with an email with attachment of the same documents.

GunBroker Customer Support has yet to acknowledge receipt of either my fax or email. My GunBroker Fraud Report still shows Pending, Waiting for Buyer.

On top of everything else, GunBroker Buyer Protection does not cover the first $100 of a claim.

Please draw your own conclusions.

A lot of Sellers are preying on buyers.

"About a year ago I purchased shotgun from a seller. Prior to the purchase I contacted the seller and asked if the shotguns were in stock and when would it ship. Seller said he had 9 of them in stock and would ship as soon as online payment was received. I thenplaced the order and paid using the Gunbroker checkout system.

After a few days and no contact from the seller, I contacted the seller and asked when this would ship. Seller said "his supplier was out and he was looking for another source". Seller refused to refund because he thought he could find another source if I would wait a couple more weeks ! I filed a fraud case against the seller and since it was paid by credit card I was able to get my money back and buy cheaper from a local shop. Meanwhile the seller still had other ads up for the same shothun showing the same non-existant quantity in stock.

Flash forward a year to my next (and last) purchase from Gunbroker. I ordered a parts set from a seller in Nevada. When the auction was over, the seller revealed he was really in California ? OK.. so I send USPS money order to seller in Califirnia. Two weeks go by and no parts kit so I contact the seller and asked if there was a problem. The response from the seller was "He lost it" "My receipt blew into a bucket" "He forgot about it" then "Couldn't find it" ?

I left him F feedback since I was out my money and had to file a complaint with gunbroker. The seller retaliated with negative feed back for me because I'm supposed to be patient while he tries to find/remember/locate the items he sold ? Exactly how far would those excuses have gotten me as a buyer if I had not shelled out $$$$$ for a money order and sent it to this deadbeat in a timely manner ?

Gunbroker did jump in and changed the all the feedback to neutral ratings because seller lied and said I already received my item which I had not ! I did eventually receive the item but not until having to throw a fit and open a case with Gunbroker.

This is stupid. These sellers will take your money in a heartbeat and then **** whine and moan when you have to ask them for what you paid for. I closed my Gunbroker account and from this point on will only deal in person, face to face. If I can't put my hand on it, you're not getting my money.

Doesn't protect buyers, high fees

"They don't protect buyers at all.

I bid on a shotgun barrel listing that didn't indicate that it was rifled. This is a HUGE material factor as to whether one would want an item and obviously should have been listed. Support refused to cancel my bid. Seller cancelled relisted the item without adding to the description. Pretty sure seller had been bidding on his own item as it was listed at 1 cent.

This company is crap, if you are buying things without a serial # that dont need ffl just buy them on ebay or elsewhere, people usually cross post since gunbroker is easy to cancel listings. Gunbroker's fees are just as unfair as ebay's, which is bad for sellers too..

impossible to do business with

"Trying to get an account set up with them is like stumbling through a maze, with gates along the way guarded by bots, at each gate you must bring an offering and solve a riddle, if you fail, back to the beginning you go, each time the bots require a different offering, but it's never enough, the bots just say "cant verify your ID" and back to the beginning you go, after a month and half dozen tries, I gave up, oddly enough they had no issues hitting this "mystery mans" credit card for "verification fees", honestly you stand a better chance at becoming a Mason without a sponsor than successfully setting up a Gunbroker.com account."

False listing changes

"My main complant is they allow listing updates and then suddenly the auction date is extended. Which is not allowed unless no bids or reserve if one is not met. But seems like some sellers who don't like the bids get to do this. They say it is not done but is the third time i caught them. They claim was always set for tge new date. But now all items i am interested in i will screen shot to have proof. They are down right rude when you question them about anything. Plus bought a walker that was listed as new in box but cylinder has ring around notches and point were starts into slot is worn. They say tough it was sold at below market price for a new uberti and they will not resolve anything. Glad from what i read now they do not have my card number. Could have stopped payment with it but sounds like they add charges. So know that is not safe. Usps money order is best. They are excellent on fraud."

Terrible Customer Srvice

"There is no way to get a response from Customer Service, especially once they have your money. No follow up if the error is theirs. No way to contact a human if you cant get resolution by email or the site. I've used the site for both buying and selling for many years, but this last experience is helping me move to the competition. Enough is enough."

Absolutely NO Support

"Purchased a Rilfe on Gunbroker site. Seller was listed as living in Texas but wanted Money Orders sent overnight to an address in Colorado 'With No Signature required'. Could NOT get Gunbroker to verify this Seller, one way or the other. Sent a cashier check instead to at least have something to track.
Seller kept giving excuses-sick etc. and would mail rifle 'next week'. (Well enough to cash the check though).
Could NOT get Gunbroker to do anything at all even after filing Fraud on their site. Only by threatening to send everything to the D.A. in Colorado, did I FINALLY got a refund. This Seller is STILL operating, advertising on Gunbroker. They did absolutely nothing to help in any way. Lousy way to do business.

Beware-Do not sell a gun on this website

"First of all there’s no customer service. They will run you around with no intention of resolving the issue. There’s no phone number listed for a reason. This site was a legitimate business years ago but it has changed. There are better sites to sell a gun. "

Below a One Star experience !!

"As a new customer i had hoped for some form of customer service. I can honestly say there's is worse than none existent ! Even on a minor sign up issue other than being rude they request sensitive information that no one should hand out online. There are several other customer friendly sites available so BEWARE of this one !!! "

Lesson learned

"I ordered a shot gun for my daughters Christmas present, but the website information was out of date for the FFL location in my area. I was told I had to find another one in my area and they were not willing to help. I cancelled the order within 20 minutes of making the order. They kept 10% of my money saying it was my fault. Terrible customer service. "

Shoots Blanks

"This site is awful. I was looking at a pistol, started to check out, noticed something undesirable about the item, decided not to purchase. Nonetheless, they are trying to charge me a 3% fee for merely looking at the gun. Since I didn't give them any credit card info (though I had put in my name and email at the beginning of the checkout process) they insist I owe them a fee, demanded payment, and threatened to give me "bad reviews", whatever that means. Yet despite all this, they continue to send me unsolicited emails trying to con me into purchasing something from them despite my two efforts to unsubscribe. Thank goodness for junk filters.
When I stand in a checkout line and then change my mind, the item goes back on the shelf, there is no charge. When I begin to checkout on any other site I've ever purchased from, there is no charge if I cancel before completing the transaction and accepting the charge. (In fact, some sites give you a half hour to change your mind without penalty) These guys are not dealing honestly with their potential customers. I intend to avoid any contact with them, and encourage others to do the same. Villainy deserves punishment.
