Bad service bad product

"Please buy USMC gear elsewhere. After 20 years in USMC I am so disappointed. I ordered a tee shirt a few years ago, one sleeve was really tight and the other loose. Today I ordered a 3" gunny chevron decal and got a 2 3/4. Both times I was told well that is too bad. Lots of places to go to get good gear. If this guy was really in the Marines, I would have placed him on permanent mess duty. You know the type. YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE JUST ****."

Bait and Switch

"I ordered a cover based on the photo they advertised. When I received the cover the patch on the cover was much larger than shown. I request a refund and they will not respond. A previous inquiry on their slow shipment was met by a smart Alec remark!"

VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE

"I ordered the Black & Red EGA Canvas Jacket and I have to say I am very disappointed. First of all, they do not have a Size Chart on their website. I ordered a 3XL size, just like my Carhart work jacket. It didn't even come close to fitting! It was at least 3"-4" from closing and the sleeves were over 2" too short. It might have been a 3X for some tiny Vietnamese seamstress, but not a corn-fed American veteran. The "canvas" was very light-weight, more like denim than a canvas. Most online stores give you free shipping for orders over $100. Not here, they charged my $16.95 for 7-10 day ground shipping that actually took 13 days! THEN they made me pay to ship it back again! And when the refund came they did not reimburse me any of the shipping fees. So all totaled it cost me $30 to try on a jacket that didn't come close to fitting and left me thoroughly disappointed."

"I ordered 2 knives and they arrived in about 5 days however I did nit receive one if the knives I got a garden gnome. I called them and was able to talk to someone right away who I reported the issue to and she said I could keep the gnome and that they would shipping the knife today"

Subpar products and poor customer service

"My son bought me a shirt from Grunt.com and they shipped the wrong size. After several attempts to get someone on the phone, I finally spoke with a lady who said I had to pay for the exchange. There customer service is horrible (she was very rude) and their return policy (mine was an even exchange for a different size) is in no way customer friendly. If you decide to purchase from this company, do so at your own risk. I guess I should have known better since there is no way to leave a review on their website. It is sickening that this company claims the name grunt and sells subpar products to Marines and their families. Please do yourself a favor and avoid Grunt.com at all cost. "

"I placed an order for my husband who is a disabled Marine veteran for Father's Day. The company held my order for 15 days I had to have PayPal intervene and they sent a shipping number from FedEx that hasn't even been received by FedEx as yet. They ignored three requests to cancel and refund my money due to the fact that they did not ship when promised. I will never deal with Sergeant Gtit again .big disappointment crappy products anyway that are made in China"

Sgt. grit bad product

"Purchased a Beirut veteran patch on a black hat plus had a few ribbons sewed to the back of the hat. paid around $50.00 with shipping ! The hat is really the cheapest hat i have ever seen sized more for a youth not worth more then three dollars ? The patch in the back was sewn to it looks like the hat material very thin is wrinkled looks bad .My husband a retired cop and a Beirut vet 1983 wont wear it has it hanging in his truck! He said the hat is cheap and not sized for a adult ,they should be ashamed of themselves .You are better off buying the hat and even Walmart has much better quality hats for less then $8.00 , have someone or place sew it on and save yourself money while getting a better product."

Completely dissatisfied

"Had been a long time customer of Sgt. Grit. Ordered several items and never had a problem until new ownership took over this last year. Or so I heard there is new ownership. We didn’t receive a $96 item and Stg. Grit told me it’s not their problem. Very rude customer service. It is a Christmas gift. They had zero compassion for a long standing customer. The representative even acknowledged that I was a long standing customer with numerous orders & still was unwilling to remedy the lost package with a refund or replacement!
The are losing a customer who orders 4-5 times a year!

FU Sgt Grit

"I am soo ****. Ordered some things, less than $40 worth of stuff, and kept waiting for it to come. Finally went online & tracked the shipment. Was supposedly delivered a week ago. I never got it.

Called Sgt Grit customer svc (what a misnomer). Lady said "it was delivered". I didn't get it. "It was delivered". Look, I never got it. "Well, you'll have to file a police report & send us a copy before we will replace the order". Over less than $40 of stuff?

I so wish I could write what I want to say to them but then this review would never be posted. So all I'll say is all you folks at Sgt Grit can sit on your thumb & spin! I'll never buy anything else from you. FU & the horse you rode in on.

I hate to give ONE star!!!

"I ordered a windbreaker on November 11th for a Christmas gift for the kids to give their Dad. It is now December 22 and after 4 calls each one saying “oh that will ship out tomorrow “ or “ yes that will ship in the next 24 hours” I just got off the phone with a very mean “customer service” that tells me he doesn’t know why it hasn’t shipped but it’s that time of year......no here’s a gift card for the trouble. Nothing. I ordered this NOVEMBER 11th. Not acceptable. Do not advertise something you cannot deliver!!!!!! Never again will I order from this terribly run cooperation. The marine corps obviously they know nothing about them to run a company in this manner!"

Worst Customer Service Ever!!!!!!!!

"I ordered some Christmas presents for my retired Marine husband on the morning of Dec 14th.
At the end of the order, the customer service rep kindly let me know that if I did not upgrade my shipping, the items would not make it time... so I did. On the morning of Thursday the 22nd, I called because I did not receive any packages. The customer service rep told me that the order was sitting in the warehouse about to be shipped. I asked her why did it take so long. She explained to me that the other rep should of told me that they had to put the stencils on the T-shirts that I ordered. I told her these were Christmas present and I was promised that would make it on time and I did not understand why I was told this information before. She told me the other rep should of known. She told me; she could over night the items if they were not shipped yet. I told her that would be wonderful and please do so I could get them on time. When I hung up the phone, I was relieved. The next day the packages did not come. I did not come for Christmas and did not receive them after. I call on the Monday. Spoke to a very rude, cranky customer service rep who did not want to be working! She was no help and would not give me any real information about when my package would arrive. Well, Today is the the 28th of December and I call and requested to speak to a supervisor. I told him what had happened and he looked up my order. Supervisor Barnet Wells informed me that my package would arrive on Wednesday and that one of the customer service reps had put the wrong shipping code. I told him what time would it get there on Wednesday the 29th? He told me not the 29th December but the 4th of January. I told him to cancel my order and refund my money and he would not do that. He told me that it would have to be returned first. What a joke? I have no product to return and my husband has no Christmas gifts and I got no results dealing with the supervisor. Please if you experienced similar problems... write a review. I don't believe the reviews that are on here are real. The company had to have wrote them. I now think that,SGT Grit never could have gotten my order here by Christmas but told me they could so that I could go through with the order. I will never use them again!!! I called my bank and put in a claim against them.

POOR SERVICE

"I ORDER OCCASSIONALY FROM SGT.GRIT (ALSO KNOWN AS GRUNT.COM). FOR THE SECOND (AND BELIEVE ME, THE LAST) TIME, I PLACED AN ORDER FOR SEVERAL ITEMS, VERIFIED THEY WERE IN STOCK AND VERIFIED THAT IT WAS PLACED IN A TIMELY MANNER FOR NEXT DAY SHIPPING. THE FOLLOWING DAY I ATTEMPTED TO TRACK THE ORDER WITH NO SUCCESS. I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS FLIPPANTLY TOLD AN ITEM WAS ON BACK ORDER BUT THAT THE REST WOULD GO OUT TODAY FOR DELIVERY IN THREE DAYS. I EXPLAINED THESE ITEMS WERE NEEDED FOR MEMORIAL DAY, AND THAT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON WHO TOOK MY ORDER (AND MY MONEY) VERIFIED THE ITEMS WERE IN STOCK, AND THAT I WOULD RECEIVE NEXT DAY DELIVERY IF I PAID THE REQUIRED FEE. I AGREED AND GAVE THEM THE REQUIRED INFORMATION. NOT ONLY DID THEY NOT PROVIDE THE REQUIRED SERVICE OR PRODUCT FOR THE MONEY PAID, THE PERSON IN CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I SPOKE TO TODAY, TOOK NO OWNERSHIP OF THE PROBLEM OTHER THAN TO SAY SHE COULDN'T ANSWER FOR WHAT THE OTHER PERSON DID. I ASKED IF I COULD SPEAK TO SOMEONE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND SHE REPLIED "THAT'S ME". I COULDN'T DISAGREE MORE. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE RECEIVED THIS TYPE OF SERVICE FROM AN ORGANIZATION FOUNDED BY A FELLOW MARINE, WHO IF NOT DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF HIS EMPLOYEES, SHOULD BE. I REMEMBER LOOKING THROUGH ONE OF THE VERY FIRST CATALOGUES FROM SGT GRIT. I WONDER IF THE PROGRESSIVE GROWTH THIS COMPANY HAS EXPERIENCED OVER THE YEARS HAS ALLOWED THEM TO BECOME SO DISENGAGED FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER WHAT TYPE OF SERVICE THEY GIVE. I'M SURE THEY WON'T MISS MY BUSINESS, AND I AM EQUALLY SURE I WILL RECEIVE NO RESPONSE TO MY REVIEW. MY IMPRESSION WITH THEM NOW IS THAT IT WILL BE DELETED BEFORE BEING FULLY READ, OR BURIED BEFORE SOMEONE WILLING TO TAKE OWNERSHIP CAN SEE IT."
