"I was an idiot to order from this company. I relied on the previous resellerratings reviews and simply cannot believe these are "valid" customer reviews.

I should have backed out when I called to confirm that my online order contained the new Canon "in the box" stuff. Their representative, Ralph, told me that the Canon LP-E5 batteries were sub-standard and when he offered to sell me "a 2-hour battery for $69.99 or a 5-hour battery for $99.99".

I know the LP-E5 to be very fine batteries. I have no idea what batteries he tried to sell me but I know these were outrageous prices. Worse, I later researched their webpage to find they offer a 2-hour battery for $199.99 and a 5-hour battery for $299.99! Insane! They also offer the Canon EF50mm 1.8 for three times the price anywhere else.

I got a shipping confirmation E-mail. When my camera didn't timely arrive and upon finding that my credit card had not been charged, I called. I was told that some unspecified information I had supplied them was wrong and that they had cancelled my order. They said they had tried to contact me of the cancellation "nearly two weeks ago". I confirmed that they had my correct address, telephone and Email address. I got the shipping confirmation E-mail, seems like they could have E-mailed me of the cancellation too.

I am very nervous that these guys still have my credit card number. My hunch is that they cancelled my "loss leader" order when they couldn't upsell an $8.00 battery for $99.00.

Compare their prices on items other than the smokin' deal that lured you to their website. Be warned! Use your search engine to find additional reviews. Take the prior positive reviews with a big grain of salt!

Note: GCP has responded to my review and wrongly asserts that I cancelled this order. I did not. The facts are exactly as I stated above. GPC...DO NOT try to send me the XSi now, I ordered it from a well known company at a higher price after you told me that you had cancelled my order.
