"Typical bait and switch. Advertised low price, accepted order, but called later and tried to upsell accessories and warranty. When that wasn't successful, said would ship item but could not provide tracking number. I would've been left hanging forever had I not called to find out that they weren't even going to ship it! DO NOT waste your time with this seller!"

"My story is much the same as the others, but I don't think they had any intention to ever send my order.I finally had to get Visa involved. They finally sent the canon 60D, but with a much cheaper lens than I had ordered. I had also ordered other accesories, but they sent much cheaper items than ordered. I finally got the lens I ordered, and gave up on triing to get the other items corrected. These people are profesional crooks! stay away at all cost. I was lured in by a cheap price I found on Next Tag. It will not happen again."

"Do not buy from this company, I am already stuck with my problem. I order canon 5D Mark II and I recieved 60D. they said if upgrade. Clearly if you know camera that's is downgrade. They try to scam people and call wait at least 30 minutes long or you give up."

"It took me a long time to make this review, but i had to lay my experience out there. I called and placed my order over the phone for a nikon D90, and when I called I was told to make my order online. I said no i have to do it here. Well they up sold me JUNK... A warranty, that already came with the camera they sold to me... They told me i was getting a better lens with it, and i only got the 18-55mm. They made it sound like there was something less than that. I go a cheap camera bag, that broke in less than 1 week, i got a cheap POS tripod that came broken. and did not work at all.
When i asked them about the return policy, i was told there was no fee, then when i said i wanted to trade it back in they told me there was a restocking fee. they just told me a lie... STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. WHEN I CALL there i feel sorry for all the people that they are on the phone with, cause they are going to get had. STAY AWAY.. THEY R CROOKS. it was the worst experience i ever had buying in my life. and wrong size filters

"I ordered a lense on the site. They called me back to confirm the order. The salesman told me the lense was grey market. He offered me a canon usa version for over 600 dollars more to be warrantied by canon. The lense arrived and I called canon to confirm the warranty. Canon told me the the product was grey market and was under no warranty by them. When I called the compony they said all their items are grey market and they refused a return or any compensation. I have the bank fraud department attempting to recover funds. Stay away from this compony they are hard to get ahold of and they bait and switch."

"i make an order in this site, after that i get a call offering an upgrade, i took it, they offer to make the delivery in 8-10 days, i didn't get any invoice or communication from them until december 21, they send that day my camera, but they sent 2 packages, from different places, so the cameras was for christmas, i didn't get the lens until 28, and was the wrong lens, it took 2 more weeks for them to fix the problem, they offer send some free filters to make up the trouble, but at the end the original sales person never took my call again, at the end the price which i paid for the camera plus all the problems, i realize could be better to buy in a local store. i never get an explanation what happened they just say sorry for the inconvenience "

"I can't believe I am now reading all these reviews, how do they stay in business. Please report them, I will. I also got bamboozled by sales. I bought the Nikon d3100 for $589.00. Which became $700 for a better battery and a memory card. I think they just gave me the standard battery that comes with camera and did not send a memory card. I see that it wasn't on the invoice, but I am going to fight it. They also did not comply with my requests to split the payment to a different account.

It took 18 days to get here when they advertised 5-10 days. I sent them a complaint letter. They are very unprofessional. After calling several times for my late order, they sent me an email with no subject with just the fed-ex and number with no explanation.

After hours their phone has no message, it doesn't even ring, it goes to a non-identifiable recording that says, Thank you for using the auto attendant.

I wanted a better camera for so long and now I am angry after spending $700 and feeling foolish.

"GCP IS A MESS. THEY SOLD ME A CAMERA COMBO KIT AT A GREAT PRICE. ORDERED ON SECOND DAY FREIGHT ON 12-15
THEY NEVER SHIPED IT UNTIL 12-22. I GOT THE KIT BUT IT WAS MISSING THE TRI POD,LENS PROTECTOR, SD CARD, CLEANING KIT AND WRONG LENS, CALLED THEM BACK ON 12-27 THEY SAID THEY WOULD SHIP ALL MISSING PARTS BUT THE LENS THEY SENT WAS AN UP GRADE BECAUSE THE ONE IN THE KIT WAS OUT OF STOCK, COME TO FIND OUT THE LENS IN THE KIT WAS DISCONTINUED IN 1-2009. THE LENS THEY SENT IS NOT AN UP GRADE IT IS THE BASIC LENS. 1-4 I GOT THE MISSING PARTS. GEE GUESS WHAT THEY STILL WERE NOT ALL THERE. I AM SO DONE WITH THE COMPANY THEY ARE A RIP OFF. I THINK ALL PEOPLE OVER THERE ARE THE SAME PERSON USING DIFF. NAMES, I TALKED TO SHAWN WHO SOUNDED JUST LIKE DAVE WHO SOUNDED JUST LIKE GARY. "This is a scam company. They advertised a Lumix GH2, I placed an order, I received a confirmation, I even called and after one hour waiting I was told that my order is OK. Based on that I ordered an extra battery for the camera, cards, etc. As I was leaving for a vacation I called again just to make sure that they'll ship in time (I paid extra for FedEx shipping). They told me that they do not have the camera, and proposed some alternates. I think the have to be reported to the BBB. I lost time and money, and I will not have a camera on a once in a lifetime vacation."

"Do not use this company. Please report this company to the bbb of NJ. This company needs to be shut down. I do not know how they are still in business! Ordered a camera and lens. They did not send a confirmation e-mail about the order called them back waited for 2 hours to talk to someone. First the lens they sold me does not exist, I cancel the order and they tell me I did not order anything from them. They state no order has been submitted and not to worry! 2 days later my Visa is charged. Call them and the same guy that changes his name every time I call tells me that he can not access my order without a number. How can I have a number if the company tells me they did not have a record of the order then tell me I can not do anything without a number! Hello what country am I calling! So now a have a camera and crappy lens I did not order and was charged way too much for both! The camera did not come with software or instructions. Also was not given an invoice, packing slip or battery for the camera!Wow So to date have spent approx 15hrs on hold and fighting with this company or what I would call a switch and bait scam, an order I did not order! The price might seem cheap until you receive a product that you did not order and can not return!Please report them"

"I like many others decided to purchase a camera from Grand Central because of the GREAT price. I placed the order online with a credit card and then received a phone call two days later asking me to verbally approve the charge. Once on the phone, the sales person recommended/suggested that I look at the package deal for my camera which ended up costing $200 more than I planned on spending. With that said, the "package" deal was to included HDMI cables and a Tripod (did not and never received them, even after placing a call). The sales person assured me that these should have been shipped and spoke to me as if I was the idiot. I did receive a tripod...it was the cutest little thing I have ever seen and definitely NOT meant to properly keep a SLR secure and stable. Grand Central is another example of an online retailer that is focused on the sales and not customer service. I will never order from them again, nor recommend them to family, friends or the 90 high school digital photography students that I teach."

"HORRIBLE COMPANY!! Basically, they give you a good deal, call to try to make u switch your order, then they say they "over allocated" the product. The guy on the phone stumbled on the words so you knew it was a prompt on their computer screen. I promtly canceled my order, and will be checking my credit card daily. Avoid this company!"

"Report this company to New Jersey Office of the Attorney General Under complaints of a buisness, ph ***-***-****. They are under John Ashley Business ID 0221-***-***-**** and Report to BBB of New Jersey. If we do not stop them they will continue to take people's money and why should scum like this get rich on a bait and switch company!
Still fight with this company they have taken my money will not return it and shipped a product not even ordered. They will not take phone calls and I am out $500 dollars I though a least I could recoup some of the money they took I am filling fraud charges with the bank BBB and whom ever elce I can tell! The only good comments are from them pluging there own service this company needs to be shut down! If I lived in New Jersery this certainly would be a differnt story because they would return my money. I this easy to swindle money from others without penalty.


If you order from this Company you will feel as stupid as I do reading all the reviews that I did not. I did not research the company found this site through Nex tag usually very good. I tried to cancel my order Allon stated no order placed then charged my Visa for an order they could not even tell me what they charged me for. Stating as soon as the order is placed they do not have access to that information! That seems totally reasonable! LOL Recieved a D90 camera and a sigma lens that was not purchased a nikon lens was. I asked to pull phone records they could not at that time, Allon Regonald Shaun or Edward ( if you listen to their voice they all sound like the same guy!) stated that the nikon lens cost more money and if I paid more they would send it! So apparently the order that was cancelled is now sent with an inferior product and to fix the order I only have to send more money! Oh but now it is too late to return the product even though I could not talk to anyone or return my phone calls for 7 days. I have spent approx 13hrs on hold and to fix nothing but them (Allon Edward Shaun or Regonald)take my money and send me a product I did not order. My only regret is that I did not look on this site before I ordered, because as soon as they have your Visa it is all over good luck to get your money back! How can a company like this stay in buisness! Crooks since I can not call them a name I would really like to!

"On 12/05/2010 I placed an order with Grand Central Photo. On 12/06/2010 A request for A fax or email of A photo ID,credit card and A letter authorizing the charge. these were provided on 12/07/2010. The charge on the card was taken on 12/06/2010 in the amount of $4950.00 By 12/10/2010 I Had not recieved any comformation. When I checked the web page my order had A Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM PE edition lens on it and didn't have the Canon EF 70-200MM F2.8 L IS II USM that I ordered, also the charge was about $100 more than we agreed. I told the customer service rep. to cancel.he sead the order had already shipped, but couldn't provide A tracking #. He then told me he could recall the package and remove the Sigma if I purchased A Canon EF 70-200MMF2.8L IS II USM Telephoto Autofocus DG Zoom Lens for $3299.00 (lens is on the web page)and I would have everything by 12/15/at the latest. $3299.00 - the Sigma = $1249.99 Iprovided another card. On 12/14 I spoke with CANON USA. They didn't have A lens of that discription, that all Canon L series lens are autofocus and have A metal mount. When this information was relaied to customer service I was told Canon was wrong that the canon lens I origanly ordered was not autofocus as well as customer service still couldn't give me A tracking# I tried to cancel and was told I couldn't. When my lady returned home we both felt we had been taken. After talking to our credit card services they recomened we protect our selfs. On 12/15/2010 at 10:00 AM I recieved A phone call from GCP and was told that I would recieve every thing on 12/17/2010 if I would aprove the charge. When I asked for A tracking# he said customer service does not have that information in it's system. Now its 12/17/2010 my sons xmas show is over. I still don't have A tracking# his birthday is this weekend and any chance to aford A better cameria is gone. Customer service told me that because I ordered A package I would have to return everything and pay A restocking fee for things I didn't order,mistakes I didn't make. The "bait& switch is not being truthful. I havn't recieved an itemzed bill. They will charge me $800 or more befor this is all over.
