"I sent my Wii to Gophermods to fix the disc read error. They tell me that it is fixed and has been since Monday (now it's Friday), but have not shipped it out to me yet. I even offered to drive there to pick it up myself. When I contacted them to tell them that I would rather pick my Wii up, they tell me that they just took it to Fed Ex. I haven't recieved a shpping confirmation e-mail. They seem nice enough when you talk to them, just don't believe their 24 hour turn around statement."

"I had the Yellow Light of Death on my PS3 shortly after the mandatory 3.15 firmware update and I was devastated. I was reading about my options and it seemed like sending my 60 gig unit (upgraded to 300 gig) back to Sony would risk getting a refurbished item or the trade for a PS3 Slim and still cost between $130-200. Considering I had over $100 worth in downloaded content, over 400 trophies, and my copy of Modern Warfare 2 still in the disc drive, I looked to other alternatives and found Gopher Mods. Needless to say, sending an item with such high monetary and sentimental value to a third party is a bit nerve wrecking, but I was impressed by the services rendered. My PS3 was received, serviced, and sent on its way back within 36 hours. The bulk of my waiting time was the shipping to and from their facility all the way to Los Angeles. I would definitely reccomend this company to others whom have experienced issues with their PS3. One or two gripes though, I had purchased a prepaid shipping label and when I went to FedEx they said there was some issue with the account so I held on to my package until I heard back from the company owner a few days later when the issue was resolved. Also I wasn't able to reach a customer service rep on the phone because there was some issue with their phones. Instead, my voicemail was responded to by email. "I made my purchase with Gopher Mods on January 8, 2010 to repair my ps3. The experience with them was the WORSE I've ever had with any company of any sort.
Their website promises fast delivery time, which wasnt the case at all. I just got my ps3 back today, which is January 29th, 2010. Three weeks later! They promise a 24 hour turn around time. After sending Casey several emails regarding where my order was, his response was, and I quote "Hi Joe, It was sitting on the shelf and no one actually knew that it was supposed to be shipped out until I inquired why it has been boxed up and shipped."..... you kidding me?
This was of course after I found out that they could not repair my ps3 due to it falling in the class of unrepairable. Ok thats fine, but as their one email stated to me "Additionally, if you had a game that was stuck inside the console it will be taken out for you and place in a CD case.".... of course they did not do this either. I had Modern Warfare 2 stuck inside the console, which I made cystal clear to them that I needed it removed. So of course I get the broken ps3 sent back to me after three weeks of waiting for it, and the game is still stuck inside. So now I have to find a place that can remove the game without damaging it, which is going to cost me even more time and $$$.
I highly recommend avoiding this company. Terrible customer service, terrible return time, terrible overall experience."
