"I recently contacted Gomadic related to a faulty cell phone charger, the second time it had broken. After waiting one week I emailed them again--at THAT TIME they responded that they HAD responded---(with a computer generated response.) Because I complained about the poor communication and response time, they said they would ship a new charger AFTER they received my broken one--go like three weeks without a charger, I don't think so. I responded that they could keep their crappy charger. Buyer beware. Give a lifetime warranty= charge a lot initially AND make it difficult to utilize the warranty. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN, and I advise you to do the same. check out monoprice"

"This company, while offering many products as accessories to many different devices, does advertise and market products online that they know to be incompatible with the devices they claim their products will support. In other words, they are selling cheap, flimsy junk that does not work, in spite of the fact that some of their other products do work.

The kicker is that they are aware of these failings in their product mix, yet do not take action to rectify their web marketing or to satisfy customers. In other words, they are ripping some people off and not addressing the problem. This is considered theft by most law enforcement agencies.

My case was the Zoom H2 battery extender pack. Gomadic was fully aware of their product's incompatibility with my device, yet continued to market and sell battery extender packs for the Zoom H2 on their website.

While I did get an email customer service response, the nameless individual did not have correct information regarding my order, indicated in writing that Gomadic was aware of their mistake, and promised to refund my money. No refund has been sent as of this writing.

My experience with Gomadic is terrible. They seem to be a shady operation that has little regard for overall customer satisfaction. While the $24.25 I lost on this deal is not a huge amount of money, the trust lost and market damage is considerable.

Gomadic is one of those fly-by-night operations that take advantage of a market niche, exploit people for profit, and slowly fade into oblivion. Buyer beware. If it looks too good to be true - it probably is.

"Good experience overall. Product was shipped out same day I ordered it. Arrived quickly. Shipping was cheap. -- I'm not very happy with the product design. The power plug constantly falls out and is very difficult to reinsert. Not a lot of thought put into a product that's meant to be used while driving. Installation was tedious. "Merchant deals in model specific GPS PDA and other wireless interent cabling needs and mounts

after an initial test purchase which is a habit on new online merchants I use I was happy to make another order. Process was completely smooth both times and shipping was unbelievably fast and not outrageously priced. My only gripe with the whole deal was the way the PDA to GPS with power cable I bought was constructed. Being basically a 'Y' cable for some reason the cigarette adapter was one of the shorter upper arms and not on the bottom end by itself, which would leave the 'V' parts the PDA and GPS inputs. Cable works flawlessly regardless.

There was one small problem with an accidental miss shipment of another customer's order to me the second time I placed an order. I caught the wrong address on the invoice first off and one very brief phone call set it straight. There were no lies or subterfuge of any kind just a full admission of a shipping software glitch which double printed my address across 2 different orders - I was asked to ship the unit to the other customers address and was also offered a generous credit on my CC for doing so.

Completely professional, attentive to the customer, good products for a decent price. Simple no nonsense good business practice which I hope they continue. I would recommend them to anyone at anytime."
