The absolute worst

"GoDaddy is the absolute worst when it comes to web hosting. Their checkout routine will trick you into ordering services you don't want, then they will fight you tooth and nail when you try to cancel. I moved all my domains to another host and it was GOOD RIDDANCE!!"

"I had a reseller since 2000 with another company in godaddy and for some reason it was transferred twice the 2nd time it went to domainespricedright is the default page they use. windows in some parts of the site that is the reseller for wildwestdomains the team stole 2 folders from me of email addresses one with 350,000 and the other with 245,000 The team I only spoke to one IDEOT and he sided with the 2 other people HE TOLD ME HE WAS TRAKING ME and in August that when I was on the phone with them my folders just disappeared and I told them I want upper management on the phone and one guy from the CEO team said that I threatened the guy I was on the phone with he sided with them I'm a customer thats the way godaddy gets there customers FRIBALIS LIE I THINK THEY STOLE ALL MY CUSTERMERS BECAUSE I DID 1000 In GOOGLE PAYPER CLICK and received not one customer also shared a domain name with a rep that I was going to buy and it was available SOMEONE JUST BOUGHT THE DOMAIN WHILE I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH HIM THE REP WAS TAKING HIS TIME WITH THE CALL ILL BET HE IS THE ONE THAT BOUGHT IT MY FALT SHOULD OF KEPT IT TO MY SELF . He was nice to me on the phone but cocky. He wanted to be Respected ye rite he told me that twice myself I don't respect a person that talks like that because in any instance they are phone's. HE PROVED THAT TO ME WHEN HE SIDED WITH PERSONEL AND DID NOT HELP ME ONE BIT. THE SECOIND TIME I CONTACTED GODADDY THE SAME 2 PEOPLE SAME THING HAD A PROBLEM. AND I WAS OVER TIME ON THE PHONE with ALLOT of reps BECAUSE I USED AFTERMARKET PROGRAMS BUT THIS TIME THEY TREATED ME LIKE GARBAGE. They have a good platform but the people are not that good I'm going to update this in a week or two with all the links for coupons and also i know there are people that don't know all the affiliate pages I WILL SHOW YOU EVERY ONE I don't know how they do it well I do These are people that look down on us and think they are better people He jugged me twice on the phone and I felt like telling him off I held my lip and the last email he got was CARMA is a **** whoever involved with doing that to me will definitely get it back so what io have a loud voice and i was DISRESPECTED by them not even at that time investigating my claim and the threat was IM CALLING THE COPS the mentality of children they are goody to shoes if you know what i mean. In business you need fully managed webhosting don't waist your time on this fibulas game over the years Ive had problems with Godaddy. And the privacy they charge you for comes free at almost every other host they have been robing everyone On there teams while YOU can start the same business that they have I'm going to show you how not hard just has to be put together It will be here in a PDF link if the team lets me do IT you can brand your self and stop giving godaddy all those links they get more traffic from there affiliates then they pay for I had a social network as my reseller he sounded like I did not know what I was doing that's a Creep one of the reps tried picking my wife up I thought it was funny never complained to no one he locked me out like a GIRL WOULD DO TO A GUY when they hang up the phone THIS IS THE CEO TEAM he is a grown child HE WAS SAYING TO ME I WANT RESPECT you have to EARN IT NOT ASK FOR IT I still cannot believe what i heard. I wish there were rating for this because I admit I yeld but they should of investigated my claim I HAD 100,000,000 Email addresses from my 2 article directory's that were cleaned and was going to use them for my new site now I have nothing I CURSED HIS WHOLE TEAM I'm going to sit back and watch and listen I m CONTACTING THE DEPT OF JUSTICE TO SEE IF ANYTHING CAN BE DONE BECAUSE THE FTC I DONT THINK THEY DO ANYTHING. THERE TEAM WGHEN YOU GIVE THEM YOU INFO FOR LOG IN THEY STAY IN THE ACCOUNT PROOF I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH MY credit card company VISA and ten munities later a sale was done I NEVER HAD PROBLEMS UNTIL AUGUST 2019 I was stolen from what would any normal human being do?"

"I'm exhausted from dealing with their customer service for an hour, so I'll keep it brief. This is a terrible, crooked company. They automatically sign you up for renewals and will refuse to refund you. TRUST ME. STAY AWAY!"

Horrible Customer "Support"

"If I could give the review with 0 stars, I would.

I spent the last 1/2 hour on the phone with a customer "support" rep regarding an email issue. The email appeared blank on the GoDaddy servers, but when I loaded it into my MS Office Outlook 2010, it showed that there were actually 2 pictures in the email. This was the 2nd email today that had this problem, each from a different company.

So I contacted GoDaddy email "support" and told him the problem (as outlined above). The GoDaddy "support" person asked me to forward the email to him so he could see it.

The email showed up as blank for him as well. Could it be that since he received through the GoDaddy servers, he saw the same thing I did?

His comment was "this email is blank, there is nothing there". I replied "Exactly, but something shows up in my Outlook 2010 so something IS there. Perhaps there is a problem with your servers."

He put me on hold for about a minute then came back on and told me that since the email was blank, I'd have to call the sender (a reputable online company) and have them fix the issue.

What??? I'm supposed to call a mainline company and tell them that since their email's content didn't show up on GoDaddy's server but did show up in my Outlook 2010 client, they had to fix it!!!

That is a totally unacceptable answer IMHO!!! I argued with the rep for about 15 minutes regarding this "pearl of wisdom" and finally asked to speak to a supervisor.

He said that wasn't possible. I asked why not and he said that it would take about 40 minutes before a supervisor would be available. I said "I'll hold". Then he started in again telling me to call the online company and have them fix their email.

He said once I did that, then to call GoDaddy back!! OMG!!!

I refused and he kept on with the "call the company that sent you the email" mantra.

I asked to speak to the next tier of support. He said "call the company that sent you the email".

I asked him several times if he was the top tier of support for GoDaddy email or if there was someone higher. His reply each time I asked was "call the company that sent you the email".

He absolutely refused to answer my question re: him being the top tier of email "support".

Finally he said to hold while he got a manager. The manager came on within a minute (so much for the 40 minute wait!!!) and he stated that since they couldn't see the content of the email, they couldn't fix it and I needed to call the company who sent it.

He stated that I could call the company or call Microsoft since he tried to view the email on their version of Office365 and supposedly in his version of Outlook but still saw nothing so it might be a Microsoft problem!!

Yet I could see it in my MICROSOFT Outlook 2010. Hmmmmm

So essentially, I have to call the company that sent the email and ask them why they sent me a "blank email" because GoDaddy couldn't see anything so could they please fix the problem as to why the GoDaddy servers couldn't see the content of their email.

If you decide to use GoDaddy for your hosting and email, you do so at your own risk!!! I would NOT RECOMMEND them in any way, shape or form.

The Choice of Scammers and Spammers

"I have had ongoing problems with spam from the .top domains, there are no legitimate companies actively using this domain, it was set up specifically for scammers and spammers to avoid blacklists as far as I can tell, then I started noticing how many redirected to godaddy customers. Maybe that explains why they refuse to block that extension from mail accounts.

Over the last year about 1/3 of all the spam I get comes from godaddy customers.

We'll be leaving there company at the end of our contract, I'm done with them, they are not at all professional and don;t care how they make their money, even if it means they criminals rip people off.

"If I could rate this less, I would. Their website builder is the worst. They are VERY BIG ON SALES when you call so beware. The sales people promise the world, but when it comes to performance it doesn't happen. Their Web Site Design with Updates is over $1000.00, but what they don't tell you is this fee must be paid yearly. Not sure why I have to pay yearly for a website design, when it is supposed to be already designed. The information you have to give them, you might want to consider compiling the webdesign yourself. The custom logo I ordered was like pulling teeth to get it completed. It took over 3 weeks to get it, which they don't tell you either. The designer seemed to be new because he couldnt figure out how to upload the design. Very incompetent employees. After they have your money everything is in slow motion, "

"Avoid Godaddy at all cost! They renewed some products despite the auto-feature being turned off and subscribed me to a two year hosting package without my authorization. When asked about this, customer service was very rude and they said the purchases were done using a chat cession. When I asked for a transcript of that chat they said it was confidential and they weren't authorized to share it with me even though they say I am the one that made the purchase... In the end they only gave some in-store credit as they refuse to reimburse my card. Also, the only way to remove your credit information from their site is to delete all of your products! Even if you have paid for everything, they will not let you delete your credit info, I doubt that this is even legal!

Please, please, if it is all I can do to alleviate some of the anger I have towards these guys, don't do it, stay away from Godaddy!

"I called tech support for an issue I was having, they tried troubleshooting and couldn't figure out the problem. The tech suggest we delete everything and restore the data from 24hrs before the problem started. I said that sounds great. The tech then deleted EVERYTHING including my email and other websites that were working just fine. 48hrs later the tech told me that they did not have a full backup like they thought. I lost 75% of my data, I had to rebuild everything. What did Godaddy do? They apologized and did nothing. They said they are not responsible for my data, even though this was their mistake."

"My opinion is negative. I don't remember anymore all the issues I have had but all in all it were hundreds. You have no idea how much I have suffered. Security problems, downtime, support lack of knowledge, website speed issues, overselling, up selling, confusing website, Go Daddy sexist ads, elephant killing by the owner of the company, too much to mention here. Will never return to them anymore! And ........ thanks to Dick Detering I have found a much better service provider whom will never be left by me."

"I am really very depressed with Go Daddy support. They have always done wrong promises. You people havn't mentioned that while refunding you will pay in $ even if cust. has paid you in INR. And because of your policies cust. has to suffer and hast to pay conversion rate to you. Don't play business around refund policies. Be clear with what you say. You have written everyone that you will get your money back surely however you are paying it in $ enjoying the conversion rate with your US team. Don't make fool of your customers."

"My website has been down for nearly 3 months. Go Daddy repeatedly acknowledged that this was their fault, but refused to refund any of the money that I had paid for the site and services. I wasted over 40 minutes on the phone with customer service today, and got nowhere! I was actually told that I would not be allowed to speak with a supervisor! This was the worst customer service experience I have endured in years!

There are so many other option, please think twice before choosing Go Daddy. When you factor in the website down time, pathetic customer service, and hours of frustration, it's just not worth it!

"The worst customer service you'll EVER get. I've been using this service for going on 3 years and the first time I call with an issue, I'm told I have to do everything via EMAIL. Also the hosting is SLOW and my sites go down all the time. I actually had to move one of my bigger sites to another hosting company, to speed up load times. This is the WORST customer service I have EVER got. I have hosting accounts with a few other companies, but this by far is the WORST. If you're wanting to host anything of importance, this is not a good fit."

"I had purchased Hosting - Web - Deluxe - Windows a year ago.

The package information was misleading. Moreover, I had confirmed the package offerings from their customer support before making a purchase. The package should have included unlimited MS SQL and MySQL databases. Unfortunately MS SQL was limited to only 2 databases.

The only solution provided by GoDaddy's customer service was to upgrade to a higher package which indeed provided unlimited databases.

Soon enough, GoDaddy did change this misleading product information on their website.

Although GoDaddy is one of the good web hosting companies out there, I would recommend buying into its product and services with caution. It would be good to give their customer service a second call to reconfirm their service offerings.
