I was sent the completely wrong lenses. EXTRA thick, no transitions. I initiated a return. They mailed me THE EXACT SAME GLASSES! Still EXTRA THICK, NO TRANSITION OR BLUE LIGHT FILTERING. They are complete scammers and I am initiating a fraud dispute with my bank. They stole my money AND insurance benefits!! I want a full refund of both the $210.99 I paid for the glasses, frames, and extra warranty protection AND full return of my insurance benefits used.

Stay away from Glasses.com

"Terrible experience with my prescription glasses order. When I received the order, I was shocked that the lens are sticking outside the frame (a RayBan plastic frame) in the front. If the lens are slightly thicker than the frame, then the lens should be flush with frame in the front, but can be a little bit outside in the back. In my 30+ years of wearing and buying prescription glasses from all different places, it's always this case. I don't know if Glasses.com has any quality check before mailing to customers, and how can my order pass the check.

The worst thing is that this happened to the replacement order too: I called and was told they will send me a replacement order and fix the issue. However they said they only send replacement out after receiving the return. I returned and mailed the first order back, and then got the replacement order in the mail and it's the same issue. I seriously think that they just sent the same pair back. It puzzled me: how can they just bluntly send customers a product with such obvious and silly errors, even after I told them the issue and they said they can correct it?

Called/online chatted with the customer service twice and asked for a refund this time. Three weeks of time wasted and I'm waiting for my refund now.

My advice to people who are looking for buying prescription glasses online: there are tons of other choices and stay away from glasses.com

Bait and switch on prices

"The $54 prescription glasses with the $94 progressive lens I spent hours picking out was an absolute joke and ended up being $173 with their fake sale and discount codes. I'm too exhausted to elaborate, but BUYERS BEWARE. Don't waste your time."

Horrible service & not reliable

"Ordered prescription glasses two weeks ago with Express Delivery (Aug 5th to Aug 10th EST Delivery). On the 10th I contacted them asking why I had not received my glasses yet. They informed me that glasses have a 10 day turn around then are shipped.

Can't expect people to pay express shipping with anticipated delivery dates. I asked for a refund on my express shipping. The next day they canceled my order & labeled it a manufacturing issue. They said I would have to re-order & experience waiting roughly two weeks again.

Glasses can be made in as little as two hours in-store, why would someone go here? Not sure how it takes two weeks let alone canceling someone's order then making them wait even more time for glasses. Happy I waited two weeks & still have to walk around blind, not.

Horrible service would not recommend to anyone.

Been a customer for years, NEVER AGAIN!

"I've been a customer for years. When their website had a glitch and I couldn't make my order, they refused to do anything. One simple little fix, less than a minute of their time, and they couldn't bother responding. I spent over an hour and a half on their chat window, having to respond within 2 minutes or they assume I'm no longer waiting and disconnect me. I wasn't able to work or so much as get up to pee because they were holding me hostage on their site with the constant threat of disconnecting me. I never received any response other than that threat and telling me *I* need to continue to prove *I'M* still here, when they can't even have the decency to tell me anyone was ever coming. I had to go back to work so all that time was for nothing when I had to leave. Hundreds of dollars in past orders, exclusive to this site and this site alone, never buying from anyone else. They couldn't have the respect to even tell me to go (bleep) myself and that no one was ever coming. I had to not leave my computer or their chat window because they constantly sent random threats of closing the chat if I didn't prove I was still waiting. But they didn't respond, never attempted to respond, told me they weren't going to respond, a time they get around to responding, acknowledge my existence in any way or made any attempt to help, but did work take make my life as difficult as possible. They couldn't help me, but they could constantly keep demanding of me, prove myself, keep me there. If they put a tiny fraction of the work they use to make demands of me into helping, I would have made my order by now. They lost my business this time and in the future. I was loyal to them, but now I wouldn't take the damn glasses for free from them. It took me all of a minute to order the same pair of glasses elsewhere, without issue, and I paid nearly $100 less.

If you want a place easy to use, a place with any existing customer service, a place with fair or competitive prices, don't use Glasses.com.

If you're wondering where I found the glasses I did order, the exact same pair for nearly half the price and from a place that is quick and user friendly, it was Fashion Eyewear.

Exactly what I ordered

"I gave my prescription and picked my glasses. I paid $48 and at LensCrafters.l It would be $169. I got exactly the same frames and lenses and it’s awesome. My glasses came two days early. What more could you ask for from any company? "

Bait and switch b.s.

"This was the only site I could find that accepted my insurance. The ordering process went well though it has been a nightmare since. First, they don’t allow you to cancel order, like at all. Second, after nearly a month plus, all I’ve received are “still in the process” type emails and my inquiry emails have been completely ignored with regards to how soon I should expect a tracking number. Don’t fall for the scam b.s. opt for Zenni or something like that. If Zenni says 14 days at most it will be 14 days at most and not moving the ship date further out by days and days each time you check your order status like with glasses.com. Luckily they only scammed me out of $20. Oh and good luck getting a hold of their customer service. "

Abysmal Customer Service for Online

"I am extremely unhappy and dissatisfied with my experience and the level of customer service from glasses.com. As a recommended vendor of my insurance provider, I was expecting a level of service and ease that would benefit using an online retailer vs. visiting my local eye care provider. However, this experience has been a complete waste of time.

Placing my order on February 2, I fully expected to receive my prescription glasses within a week’s time. However, the glasses were never noted to be in a status other than ‘Processing’. No further updates or emails were ever sent to note any issues with my order. In fact, I had to continually call and check on the status because the date of shipping kept slipping. First the website noted the estimated shipping date was February 11, then each day the date slipped until today when it noted February 15, almost a full two weeks after my initial order date.

I called once to request an expedited shipping of my order when I saw that the shipping date would be later than expected. At no point during the call was it noted my frames were out of stock. A second call on the 11th later confirmed my frames had been out of stock, causing the delay, but the associate assured me the frames were back in stock and would be in process and shipping on the 13th. Today, that shipping date changed once more, precipitating a call to check on the order status, only to be told the frames were not in stock and no timeline was available. Again, at no point was a proactive email or notification sent about this order.

The abysmal customer service and notifications from glasses.com prompted me to cancel my order and demand a refund. I still have yet to receive confirmation of that refund. In fact, my order still shows as in processing despite the online agent assuring the order was cancelled. Additionally, the website still does not list the frames as out of stock, which is misleading to the customer. An online web retailer should have more technology and tools available to support the customer than what I have seen from glasses.com today. Glasses.com should learn from your competitors, such as glassesusa.com, as this is where I have taken my business due to their superior experience online.

Can't believe that this company has in-network status

"I ordered glasses on the 2nd of December. It is the 29th of December and the glasses have still not arrived. The arrival date keeps changing every day. I spoke to a customer representative and they said that it's probably due to low supply or the holiday season. This is unacceptable.

If it takes them this long to ship glasses, then they should clearly let people know that this is the case. Don't lie to people and fulfill an order when you know that the frame might be on backorder or will be significantly delayed without informing them.

At this point I doubt that the glasses will even be quality. I'll probably return them when I do receive them because I don't trust this company. Please stay away from Glasses.com

Don't waste your time.

"I ordered a pair of prescription glasses as it was my only option from Davis Vision. The glasses never shipped. I'd contact customer support and they'd tell me that there was an error that they couldn't fix so my order would have to be cancelled and resubmitted. Which would have been fine, but then they never actually cancelled the order so my insurance benefits were never updated. So whenever I tried to re-order them I'd have to pay full price because my insurance thinks I already got glasses. The whole ordeal was such a pain in the **** that I ended up just ordering glasses elsewhere and bypassing the insurance all together. Do yourself a favor and just order glasses directly from the manufacturer."

Unreliable

"Ordered 2 glasses on 09/08/2022, and they are wrong prescriptions when they arrived. Asked for return labels and they said I do not need to return the glasses but they will send me 2 new pairs with correct lenses as soon as possible coz I told them I need it really soon. 09/30 I had a chat with one of the agents again and he said he cannot find any info and promised to escalate the issue. Today, 10/06/2022, had a chat with another agent Alfredo D. and he said he cannot find any info again about my replacements so he will forward the case to the "response team" again to speed up the process. I do not know what is going on, but I paid a lot after insurance. Do not, I repeat - DO NOT order from this website, if you are in a hurry to get your glasses, coz who knows when they will get it replaced and if it will be the right prescriptions. Will come back and let you all know, if they live up to their promise."

Run far, far, FAR away from glasses.com. DO NOT order glasses from this company

"The absolute worst experience that I have ever had when it comes to ordering anything, ever. Was sent the wrong prescription the first time, both lenses were supposed to be +2.5. Called in and then sent them back to be replaced. Second pair, a DIFFERENT wrong prescription was sent, called in, sent those back, received a THIRD pair that was wrong again, this time with a lens prescription that was not even on the written prescription at all so I have no idea how that happened. Was told to return them but they no longer had the frame I wanted, so they told me to pick a different one. I asked if I they could just use the ones I had already received, once they got them back from me. No, they couldn't guarantee that so I chose a different frame. FORTH pair came in, FINALLY the correct prescription, they even were the frames I had originally ordered. Why did I have to choose a different frame if they could use the original one? Not only was getting the wrong prescription maddening, the constant emails asking for me to send in the written prescription, over and over and over and OVER again was beyond infuriating. My prescription had not changed from the first time I had ordered the glasses. Yet, I was asked to send it in so many times I finally wrote back and asked if this was a joke to them. I have over 55 emails between me and them. This is the worst company that I have ever dealt with, but unfortunately I could not cancel the order as I had used vision insurance when I ordered them, but no longer had that insurance after the first wrong prescription. So I had to keep this same order and just get it fixed. "

I Should Have Known

"I so wish I had read these reviews before dealing with this company. Not only was the customer service person rude (I wish I had her name), the glasses are terrible quality. I only clean them with the cloth they provided, but, within a very short time, they started having scratches. It's like the lens are plastic, not glass at all. Now, after a year, I have to tip my head around in different angles to see around all the scratches. I am a firm believer in, "You get what you pay for," so I should have had my doubts. Yes, these were cheap, but now I need a new pair of glasses. I didn't save a thing!"

Buyer Beware! Multiple incorrect prescriptions

"I ordered a new pair of glasses back in April, when they finally arrived I discovered that I couldn't see with them past the bridge of my nose because they had messed up my prescription. I contacted customer service and requested a return which to their credit was a mostly painless experience and this time they requested a picture of my prescription so nothing would happen (hence 2 stars vs 1, I like to be fair and consider all aspects of the experience in my rating).

Well, as the title suggests, after another wait to receive the new pair....they were even WORSE and I could not see anything with the new pair they provided! It's unbelievable that in this market where companies are fighting tooth-and-nail to get one over on the competition that I could hand them a copy of my prescription and they could still mess up this badly. I will not be wasting any further time or energy with this website.
