"I have now bought my second aircraft from Dave, first one took over a month, read a lot of these reviews, called David and he said it was on the way, three days later received aircraft. Plane was in good shape, box a little beat up, but nothing damaged, ( Corsair R4u ). Just ordered a F22 Raptor, took three weeks to get here. Perfect condition. A lot of these plane are shipped from China unless he has them in stock. He also uses USPS, which we know is slow. Forget xpress .Yes his shipping charges are a bit high, but look at the price of the aircraft. Have you checked out other hobby shops on aircraft and shipping price. If you are in no hurry buying from here will save you money. Be patient he is from conversation is that he is a one man shop. He will call you back. As far as parts, I have not needed any, I don't think he carries any. If you destroy an aircraft best thing is to get a replacement kit for parts. I have worse service from a lot of other businesses then this one. I will buy more."
"I ordered a F16 fighting falcon rtr jet for 274.40 usd including shipping to sweden 28 july 2019 and after i while i recived F/A-18 Hornet blue angel version. I sent a email the same day but no answer. After about 5 emails they answered and offered me a 30 usd refund. That plane was 30usd cheaper than the F16 and i paid about 50 usd to swedish customs in import tax so i said no. Today it is 26 December 2019 and they have done nothing to help me. They destroyed my sons birthday beacuse it was his birthday gift. So buy your stuff somewhere else if you dont want to be robbed"
"Purchased two rc planes from general hobby and had no problems at all. Both planes shipped within two days and arrived in perfect condition well packaged.
Rich was very easy to deal with and sent emails within a day or two when I had questions. They are located in California and I’m in florida. Will buy from them again in future if I see something I like....

"I ordered the Lx Sr-71 Blackbird kit at the end of 2017 and I received the B-2 Spirit, which I don't recall ordering. After it came I got mad an e mailed them. Days later it came, everything in tact, foam was ok. Didn't have much choice about the B2 and it's design I thought could have been a lot better. Losing orientation on the second flight if the Blackbird it crashed bad so I bought one more. Delivered on time, no complaints. I have only ordered the kits and would suggest that if you want a RDF airplane, look elsewhere but if you want a kit you have about a 80/20 of getting what you want."

"Ordered an expensive model plane in December, paid for via PayPal. Parcel arrived one month later, wrong plane. Merchant offered $30 discount for me to keep the plane. Pressing the issue for a refund, I was required to prepay the shipping to return the wrong plane before refund. Received the refund, but not the return shipping. In spite of the posted policy to refund return shipping on wrongfully shipped items this was never addressed by the Merchant notwithstanding repeated requests. I'll take any opportunity to report this incident. To delay a perfectly justified clam is akin to theft, and is a viable business practise. The longer a merchant can delay reimbursement of your money until the matter is resolved the more he makes for doing nothing. He makes a profit by not answering your emails or returning your phone calls. I will never purchase anything from General Hobby hope you do the same. It's a no star company, but ResellerRatings don't start at zero. Just like the BBB. I wonder why? What does it really take. More complaints perhaps."
"I bought an F6F Hellcat and tried to reach them as the instructions did not show how to connect the wink LED's. no response to either calls or emails or their contact option on the website.
Then after assembling and taking out for 1st flight I found the left aileron servo was defective, so have tried again to contact them through phone, email and on-line contact - again no response whatsoever.
Do not buy from General Hobby, they may have good looking planes at a reasonable price but then charge high shipping cost and provide no response to resolve problems. BAD! BAD! BAD! "

"My gawd! If these clowns have what you want and you are THAT desperate to get it, I say knock yourself out...........buyer beware. He will gladly Paypal an invoice to you, burn you for higher shipping charges, promising to ship right away, and it WONT happen. He sends via Postal Select which is the LOWEST form of shipping you can get, along with a fictitious tracking # that still shows my item waiting to be picked up. A tired ol pack mule could have delivered it for less and definitely SOONER. I ordered my item days ago......and it still isn't here. To make things worse, I found out that a fellow pilot in our club also used this bogus hobby shop and finally got his item after 3 MONTHS!!!! WTF Stay away from these clowns, avoid them like the plague. They DON'T answer phones and unless its a first time communication with them, they don't answer eMails either. "If you are looking to get your RC models, do yourself a favor and never try to get it through this General Hobby place.
Here is why:
The items will probably take about 30 days (even though you may have paid for express shipping), it would not matter, since everything comes from China anyways.
Also, chances are that your package will arrive with extensive damages
And here is where things take an interesting turn, when you call the "100% customer satisfaction" number, you will never get to talk to anyone. You may leave tons of messages, and believe me, no one will ever call you back.
You may want to then write an email, you may send as many as you want. But, the best thing you can do is to avoid all of this, and as soon as this page comes up on your browser, "Delete it!!!, do not even look at anything they offer, it is all a phony "
