"Same story as other folks. I ordered a stove only last week. but i have tried calling and emailing with almost no response. I finally got an email saying the product is not in stock but should be in any day. i have asked them to cancel the order and reverse the paypal charges. I fear i may be out of luck.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS VENDOR.

"I ordered on 11 June 09, when my order did not ship they stated that two of the items were not in stock and would be in "shortly" I asked for a refund and they keep putting me off, now it is 27 June and still no refund or gear. I will be filing with the BBB in their area and using my bank to try to get my money back. I believe it is a one person operation, not a true internet order business. They are cheats and not a good business to deal with. Do not order from them.

I have placed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in their Pensacola, FL area.

"Ordered a tent on March 6, 2009 and paid in full with VISA. Web page for item stated "usually ships in 24 hours".

It's free shipping, but being from Canada, I had to pay for shipping. I was presented with three options, ALL of them were United States Postal Service delivery, which suited me just fine as they do not charge a "brokerage fee" at all, unlike the ridiculous fees charged by the courier service UPS. My shipping and handling charge was a whopping $172.25USD, but I paid the bill in full, assuming I would receive my tent in short order. Gear For Camping also stated that I would receive an email notice when the item shipped and a tracking number.

These folks laughingly call themselves "Christian". Christian's from Hell, perhaps would be a more fitting description. These deceitful "Christians" will NOT speak to you once you have ordered an item. ALL communications thereafter MUST be via email. Never once during my email communications with this company (at least nine emails during the 3 months) did they provide a first name. I never had any idea of who I was in email contact with.

I wait two weeks and no email, no tent. I email their "support". A few days later a terse reply from someone with no apparent name states the item is backordered and should be in stock by end of April or early May. What the!!!!!!

To top it off, they don't even ship the Turbo Tent I ordered. It is shipped by a company called Bold Inc. in Salt Lake City. They did ship the tent to me in May, but by UPS, not USPS!!!!

I refused the shipment as this is not what I paid for.

More time passes, and finally Bold Inc. sends me my tent via USPS and I receive it on June 5th.

Three months these Gear For Camping Christian Clowns had my money to play with, based upon lies found on their website. I have complete documentation, screen shots and more, if anyone wants verification of my story.

My advice - there are many online retailers of camping gear out there. Do your homework. Above all, DO NOT DEAL WITH Gear For Camping (www.gearforcamping.com).

Shame on this company for hiding under the guise of being "Christian". Their business practices are the furthest thing from the true meaning of Christianity.

"It's been 6 week since I placed my order, and like the previous reviewer, I've been told that my item is "coming soon" each time I ask. I've had 3 email exchanges, and I got the same response that the item is on order and is coming in soon.

But now I'm really worried after reading the other review on this website that they waited 3 months to finally cancel their order and that a further wait resulted because the seller had to issue a check in the mail. Therefore, I'm giving the seller one last chance to come clean and let me know an expected shipping date of my item or I will cancel my order.

This is definitely not a good way of conducting business!

"I waited almost 3 months for item's that were supposed to be in stock while they kept telling me the supplier would have it to them in a week. I did get my refund once I cancelled the order but get this, because the charge to my credit card was over 60 days old they couldn't even credit my account ! I had to the wait for a check. Never again."
