A "1 star" is way to generous

"I ordered three (3) replacement tips for my riiviva microdermabrasion device, and paid $61.45. My order was delivered faster then expected, however, the tips were "horrible counterfeits" that did not even fit, and are unusable to me. I am writing this review after several attempts to have them correct the problem. My emails have gone totally unanswered! I am very frustrated and disappointed! Order#: W6373901 "

Terrible with stock of merchandise, shipping, and communication

"Although I love the quality of the products, this company is terrible about shipping things out in a timely manner and communicating issues with the customer. Ordered a hammock with frame in January 2017, received the frame pretty quickly, didn't receive the actual hammock until well into summer (end of June/beginning of July), and it was the wrong hammock fabric, and I get told sorry that one is out of stock after having had ordered it 7 months prior!
Next I order a pool float in August (to use in the pool) and with some of my own research, because they didn't communicate this with me we won't be receiving until mid October! So much for using this in the pool.
Will never order things from here again.

LIFETIME GUARANTEE on Massage Table Means Nothing

"Purchased a Massage Table from Frontgate in 2008, with a Lifetime Guarantee on Parts and Labor. A cable snapped on it this week, and when I called Customer Service, they referred me to the maker Master Massage, who informed me they have a "new owner", and as such, the warranties they will honor must be within the last five years. If FRONTGATE took my money 9 years ago and promised as part of the sale that I would be covered, they should honor the warranty, even if a company goes out of business."

False Advertising, Don't Order with Caution, Just Don't Order

"I ordered a 6 Panel Pet Gate (Distressed Gray) from Frontage on July 21, 2017. I saw that it was considerably less then the other colors. I did not care what finish the gate had. It was advertised as 169.00. I ordered it with a 25% off code of theirs. I was emailed that day that they had received my order. I was emailed the next day July 22, 2017 that my order was being processed. It stated on the confirmation2 Panel Pet Gate. I called immediately to confirm what exactly I had ordered. That it is advertised as the 6 Panel Pet Gate at that price. It was confirmed that there was some glitch, but indeed it was the 6 Panel Gate I would be receiving. I saw the charge pop up on my credit card, but had not been notified it was being shipped, so I called again. They told me it was just to make sure the card would take the charge and that it would be removed until shipment. I again asked them to confirm that is was the 6 Panel Pet Gate. Yes, it was confirmed I had ordered the 6 Panel Pet gate, even though the skew was wrong on my receipt. On August 15, 2017 I received an email from Frontgate, stating there was an issue:

I called again to find out what was going on. I was for a third time confirmed that the 6 Panel Pet Gate was coming. I received an email on August 26, 2017 that the 2 Panel pet Gate would be coming on the 31st. I did not call again, as I believed that I had been confirmed enough times about this issue. Today the 2 Panel came. I called customer service and was basically told, "Sorry' your problem, we'll give you 30% off the 459.00 price." Why weren't hey up front during any of our calls, how does this help them, Why the dishonesty? I may have been upset, but not as upset as I feel having been dragged through what I was and to see the 2 Panel. What? Horrible service somewhere. I will never order from Frontage again and I hope you will not either. There are so many good online companies out there, Frontage is not one of them.

Frontgate Product not Delivered

"I had ordered the Coachella Jewel tufted hammock and deluxe hammock stand in March, 2017 with the understanding the Coachella Jewel tufted hammock would be shipped in May. I have received 13 "sorry, the Coachella Jewel tufted hammock isn't available" emails promising it will be shipped at a later date. Each date comes and goes with the promise of another date it will be shipped. It is now the middle of August and still no Coachella Jewel tufted hammock.
I received the stand, but it doesn't do me any good without the Coachella Jewel tufted hammock. In addition, Frontgate has had the Coachella Jewel tufted hammock for sale on their website at least three additional times that I have seen. Not sure why they would try to sell it when they haven't been able to produce the item to a current customer that ordered it in March.

I normally love Frontgate's products, but this has really tainted me on the company. I have asked for a response from the company's president/owner as I am sure he/she would not be thrilled knowing this type of business practice is taking place. Again, they send emails stating how sorry they are, but still no hammock. We live in Minnesota so the hammock season will be coming to an end in a short time.

**** stain on pad of pet kennel

"Ordered medium luxury pet residence for $500 and when i received it it clearly had been used. Several scratches that had been covered up with a scratch filler pen but that doesn't even compare to the dried up diarrhea **** on the bottom of the pad that came with it. You would think that someone who loves their pet enough to buy a $500 cage would feed him or her some decent dog food and not some **** kibbles and bits, ol' roy, pedigree, and gravy train. If i wouldn't have seen my dog could have been exposed to a range of parasites or even worse Parvo. Lucky for you cause i would have beat someone's ****. End of rant"

Rifoff with Frontgate!

"I purchased a teak shower rack years (item# 40855) came to us all mold (defective wood). I reached out to Charles Jacoby their head **** (past contact person who helped me before) and he offered to refund that rack back, as well as send a NEW replacement (very generous). We have had the new rack packed up in our climate controlled garage (Frontgate blames us for improper storage, RIGHT...) and recently about three months back pulled the new rack out and used it. The teak shelves were coming off after a few weeks (reaching for the shampoo bottle and it flung off) it was junky! I called the company and they arranged a return of the item, authorized a return label (requested a gift card and or replace the product with another). I used their pre-paid label and dropped it off at UPS. A few months have gone by (recently in 2017) and I called them to find out about the package (2 months now) and they were finally able to track the product, it was taken in on Jan 18th (from Elizabeth shipping manager at F.G.). She needed the invoice which was supplied in the package. I had misplaced the copy of the invoice but they did have the product back (confirmed). When I reached out to Charles Jacoby in Feb., he appeared willing to help but now he said I am out of luck on the item and they won't stand behind their own product warranty, FRONTGATE GUARANTEE: At Frontgate, our primary focus is quality. We guarantee that every product we sell will stand up to the supreme test - our customers' satisfaction. It does not sit well with us that they are keeping the product and no gift card and or replacement of product (per our request as well as arrangement we made well before we mailed it back to them). We feel very ripped off now! We reached out to their local BBB and after a few back and forth reports they basically dropped the complaint. If Frontgate had not agreed to take the item back in and not sent me a return label and not authorized to start that porcess it would be different. In our neck of the woods that stealing and it does not sit well with us that they never sent that item back and they kept it (broken or not). Lousy ordeal! They had a new manager contact us and she called in to get the matter settled and all she did was go over the same details and was offering no solution! I told her to call me back when she has a proper resolution and hung up the phone... calling a customer to argue, who needs that. The original founder Paul Tarvin of Frontgate was outstanding! Since Frontgate's inception, the focus has always been on courteous, personalized attention, NOT ANYMORE. They are being run by whoever now and it's lousy with a higher end catalog company (image they want to be so prestine) to treat any customer this way. Sure if this happened to them they would feel ripped off too!"

"I ordered furniture. For some reason it got put on 2 orders. Wrong cushions were sent. Put in for an exchange and they sent 1 set instead of 3. I am a designer and will NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN."

Look Out!

"Purchased two sets of their Balencia Chaise Lounge Chairs. Four total. I brought the chairs out of protected winter storage and one of the chairs had deteriorated and was not useable. Out of warranty so no return was allowed. When I wanted to purchase a replacement chair they would only sell me the pair at full price. The quality Frontgate advertises is not there, nor is their customer service. Purchasing their expensive products is a RIP OFF."

Won't be a 2nd order...

"PLEASE SEE THAT UPPER MGM'T RECEIVES THIS CONTACT. I encourage you to go to Yelp and read the reviews posted on FG. I am obviously not the only customer that is displeased with your customer service and considering that FG has "monopolized" nothing, I would assume that these reviews would be a concern. After several unnecessary calls to FG it was determined through your reps that the reason that my credit card shows my order as pending as of Feb. 3rd (even though it has clearly been processed, cleared, shipped and even received since Feb. 16), therefor showing a duplicate charge and reducing my available credit, is because of PayPal. After contacting PayPal because your reps were politely of no assistance and I was never able to speak to mgm't direct, PayPal explained that the charge continued to show as pending because FG did not mark the transaction as "completed". This makes sense considering I NEVER have problems using PayPal. The obvious variable here is FG. We are remodeling a 4000 sq./ft. home and my intention was to place a very large order with FG. That will no longer be occurring. I refuse to have the available credit on my card **** due to FG's incompetency. Right now PayPal has assured me that the transaction will "fall off" on its on accord within 30 days, but why should a customer have to wait for this? My hope is that this contact reaches the hands of those who have a vested interest in the success of FG. Poor customer service will undoubtedly catch up with FG eventually, and as a multiple business owner correcting this issues would be of my utmost concern. You are welcome to call or email me, but regardless of contact, I will not be placing a 2nd order with FG and I couldn't possibly recommended them to another."

Poor quality

"I would give Frontgate a zero if it were an option. They sell subpar quality and offer a warranty but do not stand by their cheap quality, overpriced merchandise. Customer service is awful and they will leave you on hold for over 30 minutes. Don't waste your time or money with this company."

Buyer Beware!!!

Products (St. Martin sofa & loveseat) are beautiful! If you EVER get them. I am still waiting for swivel chairs and coffee table which have now been back ordered until October (order was placed late June). Beware of Frontgate sale and shipping offers!! While waiting months for back ordered pieces, a sale came over my email... 30% off & free shipping. One Frontgate Customer Service Supervisor agreed to refund the shipping fee on the piece that was on it's way and 30% off with free shipping on the pieces that have been back ordered until October (nearly 4 months after purchase!). That promise was not fulfilled and the next Supervisor I was forced to call refused to honor the sale! I usually avoid buying from Frontgate because of their extremely high product and shipping costs AND their Customer Service is all but that! This is NOT the first issue I have had with Frontgate, but be assured this is my LAST purchase!! In hindsight, I should have listened to my better judgement and not placed this order!

Show Frontgate the Backdoor!

"Always thought this was an upfront, classy store. Got a 25th anniversary catalog stating Save 25% plus free shipping statewide. So I went through the catalog and selected two items, placed them in the cart, entered the discount code, and no discount appeared. No error message or any acknowledgement that I had entered the code. Customer service said that the discount does not apply to the items I chose. Why would you send an anniversary edition catalog with a discount code and then fill the said catalog with excluded items? I am very disappointed in this shady practice and my opinion of Frontgate has gone out the Backdoor. Shame on you, Frontgate"

BUYER BEWARE!

"I would give them a -99 Stars if I could. I've been duped by a used car dealer of the worst kind. I've overpaid by over 15% on an order that was placed literally 5 days ago and they refused to honor the lower price. The worst part was that the Supervisor that I spoke with was condescending, rude, and argumentative. As a consumer, the Frontgate promotional schemes cheats consumers and leaves customers confused, angry, and frustrated. NEVER AGAIN!
As a consumer, Frontgate is engaged in dubious, if not illegal activity. They claim that they change their promotions daily which means that a consumer can a pay a significantly different price from day-to-day without any recourse.
