Awful customer service

"After a month, they shipped to the wrong address and then we're returned to sender. No one had any idea where my glasses went. The employees are incredibly rude and unhelpful. They located my glasses and then informed me that I needed to cover shipping costs for a second time. Horrible experience . Would never do business with them again...I would rather pay double to a quality business."

Buyer beware. 2 Wk wait and 50% fee if lenses are not accurate

"My experience with this company proves they lack integrity and and do not stand by customer satisfaction. I received my prescription sunglasses about 2 weeks after ordering. That’s was my fault for not checking beforehand about the length of time. Fine. Was very disappointed to find out that prescription was not accurate once received. I have a very mild prescription but I have an astigmatism so I can definitely tell the difference with my prescription lenses. Put those on no difference. Tried on other prescription sunglasses from LensCrafters there was a difference. Took them off and tried the lenses from Frames Direct, no improvement. It was like there was no prescription at all. I was extremely upset after waiting 2 weeks, contacted them right away and was sent a return label. Never was I told there would be a 50% fee for a refund! Nor do they make this clear when purchasing so buyer beware. They claimed my prescription was accurate according to their investigation but I know better!"

DO NOT trust this company.

"DO NOT trust this company. I placed an order in January for a pair of sunglasses, it's now the 2nd May and they have STILL not arrived. They made a number of excuses and are now saying they will ship a replacement and wont allow me a refund. JOKE. Don't even bother - I've never dealt with such a terrible online firm."

horrible experience

"DO NOT USE THIS PLACE.... if you need progressive or bi-focals. Their supposed "formula" does not work. I could only see out the reading section if I tilted my head back to look at the ceiling. And I could only see distance if I pulled the glasses half an inch down my nose.
Is this my problem? Apparently yes because they charged me a 50% restocking fee. I am horrified. I am sorry I ever tried to use this company.
They are a rip off! Don't waste your time or money on them... BTW, their answer... go to a optician store to get them measured correctly. SERIOUSLY. If I wanted to go to a optician I would have done that to begin with. And from now on I WILL!

never buy glasses from them, be aware of their warranty policy

"This is the worst online shipping that i have. Their warranty policy is full of joke!! I bought eyeglasses few months ago. And recently i found out the lenses went bury. I contact them how should i return it. They told me to send the eyeglasses back to them for evaluation. Really???? How are you going to let me see anything for these day without having eyeglasses????? They knew you would not be able to return it because you will have problems seeing things. "

Mismanufactured then charged me restockign fee

After getting passed up to a manager, it was acknowledged that I was wronged and a full refund was made so i could repurchase the glasses. They acknowledged there was miscommunication that caused confusion that led to me being wronged.

And FD is reviewing to make sure this does not happen to other costumers in the future.
My frustration started when I was told after sending them in there was never anything wrong with them, which caused the start of the problem. which was the entire reson why i had sent it back to the lab.

I bought a pair of glasses. My radius in 100, they entered 10 i gave them correct info from my doctor perscription and they entered it in wrong. they send me a slip to send back and fix....

then i get a partial refund.... why?? oh well we dont want to send them back to you cause shipping costs so we refund you minus stocking fee for lenses.

I never authorized a return i authorized them to FIX THEIR MISTAKE.

I am not down $100 and no glasses.


I had my doctor verify with his machine on the glasses they made and he is going to testify on my behalf on the lawsuit i am filing against the company for fraudulent behavior.

Even paypal agree this is scandalace behavior.

Go somewhere else

"I have never ordered sunglasses online and I didn’t know my size. I told them that but that I had my prescription glasses size and if they could use that to size them. If not to just cancel my order. No they didn’t cancel my order they sent it anyways and want to try and make me pay a 50% restocking fee. They don’t care about anyone they just want your money. Bad business stay away."

Great Results

"After I ordered my frames on line I started reading reviews. kind of backwards, I know. While doing research after the fact, I found numerous negative reviews and started to get concerned about my choice to order prior to doing the research... I am pleased to say the frames that arrived are great. Frames arrived in less than two weeks. I ordered a size 55, should have ordered a 53 but that one is on me. Great experience, I will order my next pair of prescription glasses from Frames Direct!!"

Just Don't.

"This company is a joke. Very few of the glasses are in stock so it takes around 2 weeks or longer to get them. If you have to return/exchange them for any reason, you'll get docked 50% of the lens cost and that's IF they even take your return. In my case I wasn't happy with the edge polish and they basically just said nothing is wrong with them and they would likely just send them back to me or they may "out of courtesy" refund them minus the 50% lens cost but won't know until next week. Rudest company I've ever dealt with."

Dishonest and incompetent

"This is the most incompetent, dishonest and frustrating company I have ever encountered, bar none. The overall five-star review rating on this website must be doctored. I ordered reading glasses at the beginning of November. Once the frames were ordered, they charged my credit card.
Since then, on multiple occasions, I have been informed that the frames I selected are unavailable, or the order is missing. I would then spend hours selecting new frames, which they assured me were available. I would then get another message a week later that the item was on backorder, etc.
This ridiculous sequence of events has been going on repeatedly, and the order has still not been filled. In the meantime, obviously my work and health has suffered because of the lack of eyewear. This website and company are a scam, and the five star reviews on their website are unrepresentative.

Smh

"I am so disappointed. I ordered a $400 pair of glasses that were a green marble design. When I received it a month and a half later from ordering because they were on backorder and wasnt advised until after I purchased, they appeared to be black. When I put them on my face though they are not bad frames and were of a good quality but they were not green. I ordered green. When I spoke to the customer service person not only were they not helpful nor can you speak to management but they said I had to pay a restocking wins fee for 50%. Do not order from here. Or order basic frames with no lens."

Haven’t received glasses 3 weeks after ordering

"Ordered sunglasses for my daughter for Christmas on December 6th. And they still have not been shipped, have contacted them a lot and the answer I got was it would be shipped on or before December 21st. Which was not what I was told when I ordered. I was told ten day max for processing! With that being said. It’s December 23rd and they have not been shipped "

What?!?!

"Worst customer service experience... Due to being a digit off on the zip code during ordering. They would not send the glasses or refund the money. For 6 days I tried to either get my money back or have my glasses shipped. No one with authority would return my call and the CSR's kept telling me I had to reorder/pay again before my money would be returned from my first order. So, they wanted me to pay $1,000 before they would send my glasses and refund me the first $500. What?!?! "
