Smart admin and store front

"I like this solution because it's search engine friendly. I tried other solutions out there and nothing works. I wish their customer service is a live person as it used to be but I'm ok with it. Besides it is a much affordable system than all other competitors. Trust me I do my homework.

WORSE COMPANY IN HISTORY PLEASE AVOID

"If you are trying to run a eCommerce site, don't even think about. Every single service they advertise does not work. They never answer the phone and the voicemail is always full. My site has been down for a week and I cant get anybody on the phone. Try calling or email for yourself and see. My website has consistently crashed and I have not heard anything from this company in months. Luckily, I used American Express for my billing and they are going to reverse the last six months of charges. VarStreet or Channelonline are much better options and are real companies. This outfit is a fraud."

Service is horrible

"The experience with Flashecom Inc is horrible. We have a problem with our website, I've been contacting tech support and sending emails to the manager for more than 2 months and I haven't heard from them about the issue. For example, our checkout button doesn't work I've been trying to contact them but there is no communication. At this moment, no one can't purchase anything on our website. It's very frustrating, wasting of my time. And the bottom line is there are sales. "

Great experience

"Have been using the solution for only 6 month so far, but I am happy with the service. I signed up for the cheapest plan and paid additional money for a custom design, but the result was good, so I don't mind. I have a pretty basic jewelry store, no need for additional service, I rarely use the tech support as well. But all the small issues have been solved fast."

"I have been with them for over 6 years, we pay for custom ecommerce site with extras $4,500, right after they partially finished our site (after 2nd final payment) they decided to stop supporting us, basically we're on our own, any help that we need we will have to watch their video instead of never existent "support". Basically your monthly fees of $150 is for non-existing support.

Our site is constantly down, broken services links, and extra monthly charges if you ever decided to ask for help like getting a working shipping on your shopping cart you will be ask to pay $$$$ to just give you a basic function whereas other ecommerce hosting providers give them for free!

DON'T do business with them, we're stuck because our boss doesn't like to move our catalogs to another business, and mainly we can't move our site due to their proprietary coding methods!! We spend $4500 for this custom ecommerce site and it ends up NOT belonging to us, if we never decide to leave them the site will not be giving to us instead it will be flush down the toilet.

They have non-existent tech support that it is almost impossible for them to give us any help on solving issues with our sites. Basically we're on our own if there is any issues and we have to hire outside 3rd party to help us fix problems that they should have resolved!!

They are a 3rd party hosting provider, they charge premium for you to host with them (or have you ecommerce site wiped cause you can't move the site!) Some sites that have positive rating of flashecom belongs to their own PR team that always says friendly seller and very knowledgeable team, yes they are friendly, but once you pay them the up front fees, then they couldn't care less about you.

"I'm a current customer of Flashecom. My experience on the web is considered to be above average. I'd like to feed the readers with some information that maybe helpful in selecting the right ecommerce solution.

I must have tested few shopping cart software but I still find Flashecom the number one ecommerce software solution for six reasons. If you are one of the people who use Flashecom you would know what I'm refering too. If not here are some tips that are helpful.

1 - Software ease of use. Nice drop down top menus that take you easily to where you want to go

2- The store front is by far superior with awsome built-in features that smoke the competition

3- Recently they introduce a custom catalogue within the software to customize a special page with special pricing for your selective customers

4- Integration with many suppliers

5- Free Technical support in the USA

6- Free upgrades

7- System configurator

8- Advanced quotation tool

Hope this information help you decide what shopping cart might be more useful to your company. Good luck

"I signed up with Flashecom eConnect software 3 years ago. I own an I.T. SOLUTION company and I'm currently entering my 9th years in the business. The economy has taken a big toll on our company but luckily we still in the business.
- Yes if you don't use explorer you won't be able to get the admin panel. However why would anyone not use explorer?
- Tech Support is answered by a live person in the USA. Try to call ***-***-**** and dial option 2. Test it and be the judge.
The best thing that ever happened to us is that we don't have to pay additional for excessive support. We call in at anytime and get support from a live person.
Trust me after we used Flashecom solution now we learned that there isn't an alternative to that.

- I love FLASHECOM and I'll continue to use the software.

"I came into a the company with Flashecom already in place - so I have no idea what promises were made at signup. Yet, I can say we have been paying customers for over 7 years. It is interesting to note that even Flashecom has NO CONTRACT on file with my company - so they couldn't tell me what we were promised for what we were paying a month.
For some reason, they decided to make "upgrades". I put the word in quotes because whatever they were doing never actually improved the service or solution. In fact - the reliability became worse. We started having whole DAYS without a working catalog. We all know what that means to an eCommerce site when you have NO PRODUCT...
Sometime last year, they disabled all of the "help" videos. They have no actual manual of how to use the product. They do not even program this themselves - instead they bought the applications from an overseas programmer.. so when it breaks - and it has - they have no clue how to fix it.
They have 2 people in support. 2. They never answer the phone because they are tried of getting the same question as to why the solution is no longer working. I have emailed and left voice mails about critical system issues that have gone unreturned for over a week at a time. They have no trouble ticket system in place, which seems odd for a technology solution company.
They have too many customers crowded on the shared servers. We even pay for a dedicated server and were surprised to learn that other people who pay for the same thing are on the SAME SERVER.. So our catalog updates fail. And then it wipes out the entire catalog. and back to square one.. again.
They actually told the president of my company that they do not plan on improving these issues because they don't have the money to make the capital improvements. Yet the product doesn't work any longer. And then asked for more money from us to REALLY put us on our own dedicated server.
The quoting portion is not reliable. My sales teams end up spending more time double checking the pricing than it is even worth.
The catalogs themselves are very buggy. The search feature only pulls from one data field - the product description. There are ways to customize the look of the catalog layout - but it is so labor intensive - you would need a dedicated team to support it. And then what is the point of even having Flashecom?

After several attempts to actually get what we are paying for.. we have decided that this company no longer cares enough about us as customers that it is time to find a much better solution.

Interestingly enough - we have done just that.. and it is covered by an OEM marketing subsidy that we have.

"Tech Support is NEVER THERE. You are VERY lucky if you can get someone to return a phone call or email. If you don't use internet explorer, YOU CANNOT USE THIS SOFTWARE. And if you pay extra just to get all of your catalog submitted to Google Shopping, it only manages to get about 5-10% of all of your catalog on there."

"I compared few eCommerce applications, including CNET and Vartstreet etc... To tell you the truth i was scared to sign up with this company at first. Their reviews suck but not based on many feedback. So I wasn't sure. But then I submitted a demo via their site and I got a call back within minutes from a very friendly sales consultant. To my surprise he answered even the toughest question and showed me enough ability to walk me through a demo. You can immediately tell Flashecom eConnect software is the work of many years. Well organized and well presented with nine distributors connectivity, system configurator, quote, purchase order etc... and with a beautiful custom store front wich is not offered in many other ecommerce applications. They provide a toll free number for support and they make sure to resolve your problems before you hang up the phone. You'll be the judge."

"Over the past few months I have been evaluating different supplier-integrated eCommerce/quoting platforms. These included Flashecom, VARStreet, CNET Channel Online, and Quotewerks. All of these platforms are fairly expensive for a hosted eCommerce platform, around $200-$400 a month (or more depending on add-ons all of which are prohibitively expensive). But for that cost you get a branded storefront, vendor integration with electronic ordering, inventory management, etc. Makes running a web store MUCH easier… or so one would expect. After watching several sales demonstrations I finally settled on Flashecom because I thought their platform best fit my needs. Flashecom boasted more than a decade of experience, the branded storefront seemed to be more feature-rich and merchant friendly, plus it still had some quoting/sales capability. Maybe not as polished as CNET or Varstreet, but Flashecom is first and foremost an ecommerce solution, and not a cloud-based quoting system. I got the impression that Channel Online and Varstreet were first and foremost quoting systems with a storefront thrown in as an afterthought.
Signup for Flashecom was fairly painless and the site was ready for initial configuring within a few hours. During the pre-sales demonstrations I was allowed access to a demo site where I spent several hours exploring different features and trying things that I planned on doing with my own site. So once my site was ready to configure, I already had some experience with the platform. When it came to setting up my own site, I was rather dismayed that no formal help or documentation is provided. The “Help” which would be more accurate if it were labeled “About” has no real “help” functionality. All it provides are links to the version number, phone and e-mail contact information for support. The help menu itself actually suffers from a bug where it doesn’t drop down long enough for you to click on any of the links making it useless. In lieu of any formal documentation, Flashecom provides several videos which detail various setup processes. While these are helpful, they lack any real depth and when you run into a snag somewhere, chances are you won’t find the answer to your problem in the video. This brings me to my second and probably biggest complaint with Flashecom. Their tech support.
A few hours into my site configuration I started to run into problems, bugs, etc… one of which involved processing an order, another involved a product import that bombed half-way through corrupting my product catalog. Unable to find any solution to either of these problems I called up the tech support phone number I had been provided with. After a brief period of music on hold, my call dropped to voice mail. So, I left a brief message explaining my issue and followed up with an e-mail. Several hours later I hadn’t received a return phone call. So, I called again. Same thing, brief hold, and drop to voice mail. You would think that with subscription rates in the hundreds of dollars a month that Flashecom would have 24/7 tech support. Apparently not. The sad thing is that my prior provider had competent technical support available 24/7 and cost less than $50/month.
Lastly, Flashecom’s platform is buggy. VERY buggy. In addition to the help menu bug previously mentioned, there are issues with various configuration screens. Looking at the revision log, the platform gets an upgrade about once a year. With some of these bugs fixed and some actual tech support ability, they might actually be worth the money, but until then, I would avoid them.

"The price is cheap and the price you pay reflects the service and the quality you receive (which does not say a lot). The website alone can take a minimum of six months. At which you are all ready paying your month to month fee for a non functional website. Our website actually never was finished on their end... we got tired from playing phone tag (they would return calls... but 2-3 hours after our business hours) or going around the email "never received" B.S... we ended up having to finish the site ourselves.

And to top it off they use a windows server... reliability is almost zero. Their catalog they prize so much mixes up prices and manufacturer part numbers. Their catalog also does not keep the most current stock. Their export/import feature for the catalog and the orders almost never works. Almost always get a code error when trying to import/export. ALSO!! THEY DO NOT ALLOW YOU TO IMPORT YOUR OWN CATALOG DESCRIPTIONS!!! You have to manually input the descriptions one at a time... or you can pay them a fee to have them upload it. They said "its a security risk"... HA!...

Beyond the technical issues and limitations of what is offered... speaking with them over the phone is even more aggravating. They have zero customer service skills... Most of these problems could be as swayed if they would just speak properly on resolving the issue instead of saying "WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DO THAT" "NO ONE IN OUR THOUSANDS OF CUSTOMERS WOULD WANT TO BE ABLE TO EXPORT ALL THEIR CUSTOMER SALES ORDERS FOR THEIR OWN RECORDS"... etc.. etc..

"My mission to further my company’s success was to take our store online. Shopping for an Ecommerce company has not been easy task. From a blog I found particularly interesting, I came across a company named Flashecom. After talking with our extremely helpful sales consultant, we were very impressed by Flashecom’s clients not to mention their continual successes. One of our main concerns was to stick our budget and was pleasantly surprised by Flashecom’s affordability. Flashecom has provided us with an outstanding not to mention custom design and an easy to use all in one solution. With the help of Flashecom we look forward to the rest of 2008 being a very profitable year for us. "
