"I am very pleased with the service and products I received at Fantasy Futons. I needed both a roller replacement part and a mattress immediately and I called them to find out how soon I could get these items .. Mary took my order and I received both pieces the NEXT DAY!!!! "In a world where it seems everyone looks out for themselves, I am very proud of the service I received from Fantasy Futons. I had the end pice on a slider break off and ordered from Fantasy Futons. They were having a hard time matching my part and suggested that I might want to get piece welded back on, which worked. When I notified them I had the part welded, they cancelled my order and refunded my money within the hour. "I am so pleased with my transaction with Fantasy Futons. First, I needed a new mattress for my futon chair an ottomon (don't ask why ... long story). I found them via google, and loved the variety on their website. I had a question, and talked to one of their reps, who was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and helpful. The mattress I bought is spectacular -- very comfortable and exactly what I was looking for. Then the better part ... the cover. That too was a most pleasant and satisfying purchase -- I was sent a "small sample" to make sure that what I saw onlin was what I was looking for. What I received was PERFECT. The colors and pattern are beautiful (the "Old Faithful" selection), and the fit and workmanship are flawless.
I'm here to say that you can totally trust these people, and if I EVER need anything futon-related, guess where I'm going? Online with Fantasy Futons.

"A great experience. This company has reasonable prices and a good selection, but the reason I will buying from futons.net again is because they are RESPONSIVE and ACCOMODATING.

When I ordered a strange combination of futon furniture & mattresses, Allen emailed to make sure the order was correct.

He quickly and painlessly did a price match on one item & was upfront when a price match would have been less than the cost on another (I appreciated the honesty).

When I had an emergency the day of delivery, he contacted the delivery company so I wouldn't miss my delivery. The delivery person was great too -even helped me open one damaged box to make sure the contents were not damaged. No damage.

Emails are answered so quickly, I think Allen must sit by his computer 24 hours a day.

I will be purchasing from Futons.net again.

"What a great experience. I searched the internet and had several companies to choose from to order a futon mattress. Allen was more helpful than any other company addressing my needs. I could not get over the EXCELLENT customer service he provided. In this time and age excellent customer service is hard to find. It took me almost 2 weeks to make a decision but I kept coming back to Fantasy Futons and with all their help I feel I have made the best decision from the best company. "Several days after placing an order for a futon cover with Fantasy Futons I decided to buy a new mattress. The old one had lost its loft and exploring the Fantasy Futons website I found what looked like an excellent mattress. I proceeded to shop the price around the web. Fantasy Futons was absolutely the least expensive and no cost for shipping made it even better. The new mattress carried a warning, "conventional sized futon covers would not fit". I phoned Fantasy Futons on my commute home from work and Allen answered the phone. He talked to me about sizing and said that he would call the company that was making my cover right away to see if the order could be altered for a "custom made". He took the time to talk with me about the new mattress I was thinking about ordering and guided me into a mattress that would suit my needs perfectly. It was less money than my original choice, but he put me first as his customer and was absolutely terrific! When I arrived at home I checked my email to find a message from him saying he had been able to change my order for the futon cover to the custom cover I needed. He indicated my credit card had been charged the difference in the cost, a small amount of $20 which he told me about on the phone. I thought that a very small fee for a custom made cover. What a joy to find someone so helpful and accommodating! I believe the world is a better place because of Allan and the very close attention to customer service that comes from his company, Fantasy Futons! I am an absolutely delighted customer in Topeka, KS! "

"I really like this vinyl futon cover. I bought it a couple of years ago and still love it. (Order date on this form doesn't go back that far.)It is a lifesaver. It looks fine and it protects from a sometimes misbehaving cat. I looked all over the 'net at the time and was fortunate I found this co. Delivery was quick and instructions very helpful. "We bought a futon cover from fantasy futons, it arrived very quickly,the quality was great. It was several weeks before we could try it on and then the zipper failed. I e-mailed Allen the owner and he was great, he had a replacement on the way. When I thought it was taking a while to be shipped he checked and it was lost in shipping. He had another sent right away and told me to just refuse the other one when it showed up.I am very happy with his company and quality.

"I searched the internet for hours for a futon and all the accessories. I looked throughout the net re style, other features, consumer ratings, value and price at my Consumer Reports. I even called a few other sites first only to find customer service not helpful whatsoever. If I got through at all either they really didn’t know their product or sounded as if they couldn’t be bothered. My search stopped with futons.net. The man I spoke to, Allan was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient. He took the time to listen, understand my questions and special issues. He offered sound suggestions that assisted me in finally making the purchases I had planned on this site. .. Futons.net has the best prices and selections on the net. Trust me. You do not have to reinvent the wheel. I have done all the homework, which took many hours….. Futons.net is the best site on the internet for futons. They also have other furniture and bedding. "Ordering again..I like to change things and what a great way with a futon cover. You can change your decor with the seasons. They have the best prices on the web and the best customer service. Being a business myself. I like to do business with a family owned business also. I have been ordering from them for 15 years. And yes I do order..I change my covers on both living and family room at least every two years. I have a winter mood and a summer. Living in Florida I like the light look in summer. Mary and Alan have been wonderful. Always very helpful.

"Unfortunately, I took my chances with ordering from this company and was completely disappointed. The owner, Allen, is not only a character, as one other reviewers states, but he is condescending and completely inflexible.

My futon arrived about a month after I ordered it and the arms and body were a different finish and the body was broken. Allen informed me that I would have to pay to return the incorrect, broken item. Return shipping would cost well over $100.

It's been over 2 months now, and the broken futon is still sitting in my kitchen and the charge on my credit card is still in dispute.

I would never buy anything from this merchant again. If you decide to take your chances, read the site's terms and conditions very carefully - they are unlike any other terms and conditions I've ever seem and completely leave the customer with no options. (By the way, Fantasy Futon didn't live up to its own conditions when it sent my order in 3 shipments over a 6-week period, instead of 2 weeks, as the site states.)

Update: February 15, 2007
We were not "notified of a delay" in the shipment, we notified the merchant that we had not received our order and that if it was not going to arrive by a certain date, we wanted the order cancelled. It did not arrive in that time (and when it did arrive it was wrong and broken) and we were not allowed to cancel or return the merchandise unless we agreed to pay high shipping and restocking costs. Additionally, the merchant was provided with a contact phone number for us and they did not call to follow up and we were instructed to only contact the merchant via email.

The credit card company ruled in favor of the merchant because the merchandise was not returned to the merchant, because the merchant would not send call tags. The merchandise has been repackaged since the day we discovered the damage. It's just waiting to be picked up; however, we'd rather pay to have the futon fixed, than lose another several hundred dollars to Fantasy Futons. Really, the owner should have worked with the shipping company and the manufacturer to recover his costs - not hit a consumer. If other furniture websites have the same policies as Fantasy Futons, as the owner states, I recommend shopping at the other sites, maybe their customer service is better when it comes to late shipments, wrong shipments, and damaged shipments.
