"I had a good experience overall, but the process freaked me out. I was pretty sure I'd been caught in a scam until I actually received my vacuum. The fact that the Better Business Bureau Online claims that they are out of business certainly did nothing to ease my fears (I didn't think to check that until after I ordered, or I almost certainly would never have placed the order). The verbiage in their email such as "We do not supply tracking numbers." and "Please wait the specified time frame before checking on the status of your order." just added to my fear. But - it all turned out alright - I got my order, I got a good price, I'm happy in the end, just stressed through the process."

"Want to try to offset the deluge of crummy review this co seems to have gotten from people ordering Dyson vacuums. I would guess the company was overwhelmed by the response. I would agree that charging the debit/credit card prior to shipping is not a good idea for promoting customer confidence. However, my personal experience so far has been all positive. I've ordered a few times from them ( a humidifier, replacement parts and a very high-end air filter). The service was excellent. The lack of tracking is unnerving, but the prices and delivery time were great. I hope they continue to offer good prices & service."

"I orderd a Dyson DC28 and when doing so spoke to Harry. I told him the reviews that I had read and he explained to me that due to the incresed ordering because of the great price....it may take up to 30 days to receive. Well, I placed the order on a Saturday 10/31/09 and received my order yesterday 11/13/09. I am thrilled with the time, especially since I saved $100.00 and the vacuum is fantastic. I could not be happier! Do yourself a favor and place the order, it make take a few extra days to receive depending on where you live, but it is well worth it! They get an A++ in my book."

"I ORDDERED A DYSON VACUMM FROM FACTORY DIRECT SUPER STORE AT THEIR ON-LINE WEB PAGE. MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED IMMEDIATELY AND I STARTED THE WAIT. THE TERMS OF THE SALE SAID TO ALLO 1-3 BUSINESS DAYS TO PROCESS THE ORDER AND THE 10-17 BUSINESS DAYS FOR SHIPPING. I PATIENTLY WAITED TWENTY BUSINESS DAYS AND WENT TO CUSTOMER SERVICE TO TELL THEN IT HAD NOT BEEN RECEIVED. I GOT AN EMAIL RESPONSE THAT IT THEY WOULD GET BACK TO ME IN 1-3 BUSINESS DAYS TO TELL ME WHAT WAS HAPPENING. I AGAIN WAITED 3 BUSINESS DAYS. AT THAT POINT I WAS VERY UNSATISFIED AND TOLD THEM THAT IF THE ODER HAD NOT BEEN SHIPPED, I WANTED A FULL REFUND ON MY CREDIT CARD AND I WOULD BUY IT LOCALLY. AMAZING!!! THE NEXT DAY I GOT AN EMAIL WITH UPS TRACKING NUMBERS AND DISCOVERED THAT THEY SHIPPED THE ORDER 20 MINUTES AFTER I SENT MY EMAIL!!! THEY HAD APPARENTLY LOST MY ORDER AND HAD NO WAY OF REALIZING THAT WITHOUT MY COMPLAINT. I WANTED TO KNOW WHY THEY COULDN'T PROVIDE A TRACKING NUMBER IMMEDIATELY AND NOT MAKE ME AN UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE."

THEY WILL NOT PROVIDE DELIVERY INFO, DATES SHIPPED ETC., NO TRACKING INFO, AND THEN TELL YOU, ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE NOT SHIPPED THE ITEM, AND HAVE NO INTENTION OF DOING SO FOR AT LEAST 30 DAYS AFTER PAYMENT, THEY'LL CHARGE YOU A 20% RE-STOCKING FEE IF YOU DO. I CALLED MY CC COMPANY, THEY ARE SENDING A FORM FOR ME TO SIGN, AND ONCE THEY RECEIVE THE SIGNED FORM BACK, THEY'LL REVERSE ALL THE CHARGES, AND NOT ALLOW THE 20% RE-STOCKING FEE. "Just received my Dyson DC28 and free gift on the 16 day after ordered. I am 100% completely satisfied with Factory Direct products and services. Everything transpired exactly as advertised on their web site and the people (Harry) I dealt with were beyond accommodating. Every issue that the bad reviews bring to light on this site were simply not true for me. I received the vacuum I ordered in 16 days, (brand new, factory box) customer service was equal to the best I've dealt with on any other internet purchase, I did receive a tracking number (even though it's not their policy to provide one) and I saved over $100. I must admit that I was a little leery after reading reviews on this site, so I did a little research on my own. With over a million dollars in sales each year and my personal experience, I find that the negative reviews are unwarranted. Some people are just difficult to please and I think that an individuals lack of reading and understanding a companies policy before ordering, should not validate a complaint. I give Factory Direct Superstore an A+. If you don’t need your purchase tomorrow and want to save a bundle of money, visit Factory Direct Superstore."

"A year ago I wrote the following to factory direct:

Dear Factory Direct

I have 2 problems with my order,

1. I didn't receive what I ordered
2. Some of the parts I ordered are not the right ones.

I received one box of of GN dustbags, not 2 as ordered.

I received zero Miele Pre-Motor Filters All Series. I ordered 1.

I received 2, not 1 Hepa filters.

I ordered the wrong hepa filter. I need Miele T-nr 4854911 Acitive s-class filter H.E.P.A Filter 4902

Can I return the 2 incorrect filters (only 1 of which I ordered), and have you ship me the correct HEPA filter and the pre-moter filters I didn't receive, as well as the 2nd bag of bags that I ordered, but didn't receive?

"Buyer Beware,
I wrote a review for Factory Direct Superstore on the 23rd of July but it has not been posted. My concern is for people to be aware of the deceptive policy of this company. The website appears good, I searched the website, read the testimonies then called and talked to them. Salesman was very nice and seemed helpful,{Harry}.
He did not tell me nor was it on the website the real policy of the company. I would NOT have placed an order and I am sure no one else would either if I had known that they charge your credit card the minute you place the order with no intention of shipping your order for at least a month. I received an e-mail telling me the order cannot be canceled, if it is returned for any reason there will be a 20% restocking fee, and there is 10-17 business days to receive it plus 1-3 business days for processing. The next day, June 27th I received a notice that it had been processed and was in shipping. I still had not received an invoice or order number, I contacted them thinking it had shipped, wrong. I received an order number the 9th of July, the order had never shipped nor did they plan to ship until a month had passed. I began looking for ratings for Factory Direct Superstore and found that they have a very poor rating and have earned an " F " rating with the BBB. I contacted their customer service and told them how poor their reviews are, soon after there appeared a good review so I am sure it is from one of their people. They have poor customer service and do not care if the people who try to do business with them are satisfied. Their policy is to use your money for a month before they ship. Of course you do not know until the order is made and your credit card charged, and they tell you that you have no recourse. As far as best price guarantee that is also a deception, I found the same vacuum the next day for $529, with FREE NEXT DAY shipping. I paid $549 and have been waiting more than a month. I could have saved money and had my vacuum in a week. I would be shocked if they ever have a repeat customer. My experience is common to others. At the very least Factory Direct Super store should have to state their policy openly, but then no one would buy from them. The BBB should post a big red warning on Factory Direct Super store.
Do your homework, why would anyone do business with a company whose policy is to deceive you and use your money for at least a month before even shipping and they don't even have the best prices.

"BUYER/CONSUMER BEWARE - I'd ordered a Dyson DC25 Animal on June 17. My credit card was charged as of that date. I was told the vacuum would arrive within 10 business days. By July 8, the vacuum had not arrived and so I contacted the company via email. I'd received no response. Then, I contacted the company via phone and was told that they were unsure as to the timing of delivery. As such, I said that I would no longer want the product. They indicated that they had a "no cancelation" policy which I thought was outrageous. I could understand a "no-return" policy once the item was actually shipped, but a "no-cancelation" policy long before the item has been packaged or shipped?? Though I'd insisted that they cancel the vacuum, they sent it a few weeks later (July 22nd) - over one month from the date that they charged by credit card. And, when I called to have them take it back, they indicated that there would be a $100 shipping charge (to/from), and a 20% re-stocking fee. Can you imagine charging a customer $100 in shipping costs when it took the item over one-month to be delivered? Other internet sites that offer the same vacuum do so with a reasonable return policy as well as next-day delivery. I suggest that you do business with those other more reasonable distributors. "

"Beware -I was told no price match and no returns. For parts ie- dirt bin for the DC14 was 59.99 at Factory Direct and 39.99 from the actual Dyson site. I was informed that I will not receive the difference and that I should have read the small print prior to the order. Also, the replacement pre-filters are a bit questionable as well - what was sent to me is nothing like the one I own and the one pictured on the dyson site. Buy direct from Dyson for genuine parts and customer service."

"I was skeptical after ordering and after reading other reviews, but my product arrived on time (maybe one day more than stated - "20 business days"), and my calls to the store gave me the information I requested (tracking number once item was in transit) and I was pleased with the product, and that it was the lowest price of any I saw on the internet! Bottom line: very legit supplier!! Their MO (modus operandi) is, in my characterization, one of clearly stated parameters, accurately adhered to, with little tolerance for "hand-holding" of customers in terms of providing numerous avenues of time-consuming and repetitive assurances that they are doing as they promised."

"Ordering from these guys was a big mistake. I ordered a Dyson vaccuum on 6/03/09 I received a order confirmation without an order number. On 6/4/09 I received a second email saying my order was in shipping. Now my account was charged on 6/3/09 in the amount of $398.00. I get a little nervous when I read on the email the order can not be canceled and they don't supply a tracking number. So I wait hoping my vaccum arrives. I wait the 14 business and no vacuum. I call and they tell me my vacuum has been shipped and will arrive by friday 6/27/07. They also gave me my order number on this call. So I wait some more and before friday arrives I get another email saying my order will arrive on or before July first. So I wait and 7/1/09 roles by and no vaccum. On 7/2/09 they send an email with a tracking number. The tracking number shows the vaccum was shipped on 7/1/09 and will arrive on 7/8/09 ( I hope). How can they charge me a month before they ship the item? this is just wrong. I advise everyone not to buy from this place. "

"Ordered a Dyson from factory direct, and received 2 emails immediately after ordering with the shipping info and details as to when to expect my product. Suffice to say the vacuum arrived within the time frame they stated, in good condition. I must mention I had also received an email stating that there might possibly be a delay from DYSON and a shortage. But that never materialized, and I commend factory direct for keeping me up to date with what appears to be a DYSON supply problem with certain models from time to time. All in all, a very positive shopping experience, esp when you consider the price, which I found to be the best on the 'net."

"I impulsively ordered a vacuum from factory direct super store for my 34th anniversary and THEN did my research. I'll admit after reading the ratings I was a little unnerved. I sent an email to their customer service department and they assured me that I will receive my order within the specified time frame. They couldn't provide me with a tracking number because their system is not equipped to provide it. Skeptical? Yes. However, not only did I receive me vacuum well before the estimated time frame but they also had the best prices on the internet. Believe me, I checked. My wife loves the vacuum and I made a terrific deal. I will definitely order from them again."

"I ordered my dyson on May 11 and my money was immediately deducted from my account. To my horror, on June 2nd I still had not received my vacuum. I called and they said to give it one more day and they would "look into it". On Friday June 5th, I still had not received it and called them back. She said that they had been assured that I would receive it in the next 4-6 business days. At that point I made them make a notation in the computer that if i had not received it by June 15th, I would be expecting a full refund or they would get turned into the BBB and then I would file a warrant with my sheriff for theft and have my bank dispute the charge. On June 15th still no vacuum, but after calling again I actually did manage to receive a UPS tracking number showing that it had been sent and I received the vacuum on June 16th. A lot of hassle to have to go through to save a few bucks....not worth it!! Money shouldn't be taken until shipment is made and a tracking number should ALWAYS be provided!!"
