They steal your money

"We purchased some fabric from them and it was. Ever received. I filed a claim with them and ups investigated 3 times. Someone signed for the shipment using my first name but the picture of the signature wasn't mine. Anyway fabric.com wouldn't refund my money or ever resolve the fact that I said I never received the fabric i ordered. They never offered to ship me a new shipment either. We spent $100 bucks and never got anything in return, and we are a low income family. Just beware. I tried to post a review on their site but it was never approved so it never posted. I hope someone reads this before buying from them. Please please please, purchase your fabric somewhere else. Don't get screwed. "

Don't WALK....RUN from Fabric.com

"I ordered 35 yards of outdoor fabric to make curtains for my gazebo. When I received it it was not a continuous roll. No where on their site does it say that in large quantities the fabric may be cut. It ruined my whole project. I was forced to piece meal pieces together. I have written to them many times with out any response. Will not purchase from them again. Horrible Customer service."

Great Service and Fast Shipping

"I have ordered $100's of dollars of the Minky Shag Fabric from Fabric.com. I was shocked to see their horrible rating here. My orders always arrive within a few days. Unless I order on a Friday it usually doesn't process until the next Monday. Which is Ok. My one and only complaint is that they sold me the last/end 2 yards of a bolt and it was very wrinkled and smashed, I should have been contacted to see if I wanted it or if I wanted to wait for a restock. Other than that I love Fabric.com!"

Bad dye job

"I bought 21 yards of duck canvas fabric to make slipcovers for my couch and chair. After receiving it I immediately threw the fabric in the washer, since it is 100% and not preshrunk. When I took it out, the dye had bled in a splotchy pattern across all 21 yards of fabric. I reached out to Fabric.com and they refused to even partially refund me, since they say it states on the site that it is dry clean only. It does say that on the site, and I take full responsibility for not seeing that when I bought the fabric. My only defense is that I have never heard of dry clean only duck canvas. Now I have 21 yards of useless fabric, an ugly couch and chair, and I am honestly disappointed in my experience with Fabric.com. I will not be buying from Fabric.com again based on their customer service and the quality of the dye of this fabric.

When I tried to put this review up on Fabric.com they rejected it.

Received wrong product, returned it, did not receive refund after multiple requests

"Ordered "Hanes Drapery Lining Thermafoam White", listed as a one-pass blackout fabric, room darkening, and thermal & noise insulating. I received a very thin fabric that provides none of these features. I contact customer service about the problem, and received a RMA number and return label. I returned the product, checked the tracking information, and then over the course of 3 weeks, contacted customer service 4 times (by email, phone, and chat). I requested a full refund each time, and was assured I would receive it. At first, I received two small refunds of 4.99 and 0.41, much less than the original purchase price. At the end of the 3 weeks I finally received a third refund of the remaining purchase price.

I strongly recommend that you avoid doing business with Fabric.com.

Customer Service is Dead

"To correct the mistake they made with my order would've cost them maybe $3 max. Since they chose not to, they've easily lost hundreds to thousands of dollars in my business, which I will happily take elsewhere. I hope that $3 and their self-righteousness was worth it.
Details of what transpired: I ordered $50 in fabric samples so that I could see which fabrics best matched my overall home decor. Four samples arrived that were either 1) missing the a main color altogether or 2) had maybe 1/4" of the secondary color, and it was too difficult to really see how it looked.
I sent customer service an email about this. I got a "form letter" reply that they were sorry I was disappointed. That was it. I followed back up to let them know that their response was not a resolution and that I wanted them to send me four new samples. They replied that there was no guarantee that I'd get a better cut of fabric. I then asked for them to send me the return sticker so that I could send them back and they said that they don't accept returns for samples. So I'm stuck with four unusable samples that cannot be returned.

Quick service

"I received my material within five (5) days of order. I ordered 2 yards each of 5 different pieces. They said that they would add 2 inches a yard in case there was some uneven cuts, so each piece had 4 extra inches. I ordered from Fabric.com because I could not find the fabric I wanted locally. Very satisfied. "

"First time site user experiencing issues with coupon so called support
1.They gave me a solution that didn't work couldn't provide another
2. Accidentally hung up
3. Laughed at my situation
4. Couldn't give call back window time
5.Apparently April was the only rep in the office when I called them back, no one else to escalate to
6.Is any one actually running customer care ???
7. They have debited my account but still no shipping info, no first user discount or 20% off order $60+: Should have stuck with Walmart Fabric at least I was confident I was getting my fabric....not sure the $20 in saving is worth the stress, the anger or the fact that their employee thinks my hassle is amusing

"I placed TWO orders with Fabric.com OVER 10 days ago (10/18/15). Since my items STILL had NOT shipped by Monday, the 26th, I called customer service. I was told there was a "software problem" in shipping and they would "escalate" my order. Yesterday (10/28/15) I still had not received shipping confirmation so I began a chat session with a customer service representative named April. (Apparently, April likes to talk a big game, according to previous reviews) I was told, again, that a "software problem" was causing my order to not be shipped and that it would be "escalated" to ship that afternoon (yesterday). It was not shipped yesterday afternoon. Therefore, I consider that a lie that was used to pacify me. It is now Thursday, October 29th. I need the fabric to make an item for an event on the 15th of November. My time is running out because their IT department can't figure out how to fix a software problem that's been apparently going on for nearly two weeks? Then, when I call customer service today, I'm told my order will be escalated again. This means nothing to me, because apparently something being "escalated" translates to "not shipped." And there's no way to contact anyone in shipping, because, and I quote, "They don't even have phones in there." Well. If your shipping department can't even have phones then I can understand their difficulty with putting my items in a cardboard box and printing a shipping label. Those poor people. Perhaps instead of hiring yes-men in customer service using terms like "escalated for shipping" to shut up angry customers, they should put more time and resources into some tech support people who know how to install a flipping computer program. I am so disgusted right now I could spit nails

"Absolutely horrendous experience! How is this company stays in business? Apathetic and inaccurate costumer service representatives, total lack of process in terms of order status, incredibly lengthy shipping time, etc, etc, etc. I was shocked to find out they were an actual Amazon subsidiary, and from my humble point of view, I think it is time for Mr Brazos and co. to restructure this inefficient, archaic, abominable company into something closer to the "Mother of all online company". Please! For everyone's sake! "

"I've never ordered fabric online. I decided to give it a shot and ordered from Fabric.com on 9/30. When I placed my order, your website and confirmation email indicated that my card would be charged when my order was ready to ship. Per your responses to previous customers, your standard processing time is 2-3 days. I was surprised and impressed that my card was charged on the same day and assumed this meant my order was shipping right away!
By 10/3, I still hadn't received a shipping confirmation, so I emailed customer service. April assured me that my order would be shipped by 10/5 at the lasted. I'm sure no one is surprised that the 5th came and went without a peep. I reached out again this morning. Rhonda replied that she was sorry for the delay, would check with the warehouse, and get a shipping confirmation to me shortly. Again, no shipping confirmation. They are closed now and tomorrow will be a week. I have decided to cancel my order as well as share this with my sewing group of 10k+. I hope to spare anyone else from such a poor experience.

"This company is based in Kennesaw GA and states on their customer service page that "Fabric.com is an Internet store with a large warehouse distribution facility. We do not have a traditional brick and mortar store." They have NO visible presence in Texas (my state) yet always charge me Texas sales tax on orders. I have contacted them before about this unethical process and receive non-answers that "we have to charge sales tax even though we do not have a business presence in Texas." This is NOT true:

"Rude customer service . I asked a few questions and I got one word answers. I was a first time customer looking to apply the 20% coupon to my orde r and it was like pulling teeth to get her to help me.

I received a shipping notice two days ago that my item shipped......not even close. I checked the tracking and they still don't even have my order 4-5 days later. In addition they took over two weeks to get my samples delivered which were a total of $5 dollars; I can't understand why it took two weeks for what should have been priority for the price they charged for shipping.

Only reason to do business is their large selection . But that's it!!!!!!

"Terrible experience. Purchased over $200 worth of fabric for a wedding. It was one continuous piece, one single cut of fabric that they had to place in a box and scoot it out the door. It will not arrive until 10 days after I ordered it due to their "processing time". I realize they have a warehouse and a shipping process however, it shouldn't take nearly 2 weeks for one piece of very expensive fabric. Gave them a try once and they will never get my business again."

"One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Ordered 60" wide fabric last year it came 45". When I called they said it didn't come in 60"! Also shipping took forever. Ordered the same fabric last Friday. I ordered 11 yards which is all they said they had left. It said 60" again so I called to see if it was in fact 60" or 45" and mentioned what happened last year. The rep said she would call the warehouse and check and call me back. No call back all day. I called back at the end of day and spoke to another rep. she said same thing. No call back. Called today to speak to a Supervisor. Supervisor said she would e-mail the warehouse to check and promised to call me back within the hour. Two hours later no call. During that time I received an e-mail stating they only had 8 yards left not 11 and did I still want it. This has happened before with other orders in the past. Why can't they get it together on their inventory??!! I called her back and got her and she said the warehouse already had it boxed up and could not take it out and measure it!! Are you kidding me? What kind of customer service is this??? So I said since it is boxed up then that must mean it is shipping today and she said no probably not today maybe tomorrow but not sure. OMG! As a business owner myself I pride myself on customer service and have a 5 star rating. I am constantly praised for my fast same day to next day shipping. When I placed this order it was a Friday and was told in no uncertain terms my order WOULD NOT ship until at least Wednesday! I can't wrap my head around how ANY business can treat their customers like this. Most business I deal with will not charge your card until order is ready to ship. Not them they can't wait to charge your card. It is done the minute you hit the buy button. They would be better off to wait to charge your card so they can check to see if they have exactly what you ordered in stock so they don't have to mess around dealing with refunds. Unfortunately this type of fabric I order is very hard to find so I am at their mercy when it comes to ordering it otherwise I would never order from them again. If I can find this type of fabric elsewhere I will never deal with fabric.com again!

Ah the saga continues, received e-mail today saying my order is out of stock!!!!!! Funny how 11 yards turns into 8 yards then turns into never having existed. Holy Mackrel!!
