"I bought two systems from Elite PC, and I will never buy anything from them again.

When I had trouble with one, after trying everything I could, I shipped it back to them to fix. They said "works for us - it must be your RAM". Then they charged me for the shipping and their labor and sent it back to me, still broken.
All my RAM was fine.

I took it to a local repair shop. They found that one of the processors was bad. I had it replaced (it was still under warranty) and now it works fine.

The second machine worked ok for a year or so. Recently it started acting up. This time I took it to the same local guy, who told me that the motherboard had been modified - Elite PC sold me a refurbished motherboard as new.

That pretty much sums it up.

"had ordered from them and it took 6 weeks but my charge plate was charged next day. CDROM doa. wanted me to pay for reship. Paided for 1.2 but clock speed was 9.5. Never could get company to tell why. 256ram means (2) 128's so you loose the use of both in upgrade. Wish I had known about this site back then. Would like to go out west and pay a visit."
