" Bought some Papst metal blower fans and a bunch of odds and ends. Was very satisfied with the merchandise, and the prices were exceptionally cheap. Products that I ordered were perfect in condition, brand new and at a pittance of cost compared to other vendors.

"the stuff got here today, no problems what so ever (the shipping took that long because its fedex and because of memorial day). it was all hand packed, and they used environmentally safe paper packing material. you could see on the invoice where the shipper took the time to check off everything as he packed it. and i dont know what those people on the consumer review site were talking about, but i was sent a shipping notice. i ordered one of there "electronics surprise boxes" and when it got here, i was dumbfounded. as you can see in the picture, the box on the lower left, its about 4.5'x4' and its packed full of little components all for just 5 dollars. its probably at least 15 bucks worth of stuff in there. overall im completely and totally satisfied."
"Canceled my order, with no warning, because they said they have a $10 minimum order (my total before shipping was $7.92).
No where in their order process did it say anything about a $10 minimum order, nor did their shopping cart enforce a $10 minimum.
And they never gave me a chance to increase my order to meet a $10 minimum... These guys are a joke!

I am very upset about this company. I ordered some items in quantities less than 10, to see if their service was ok and it turned out ok. Nothing special, but I found some good deals.
Then I placed my second order, wanted to purchase 40 switches along with some other stuff. I waited 4 days and sent an e-mail asking if my order was shipped. No response in 4 days. Then I e-mailed again and no response again. Then I called them and had been told one of the item was backordered and they were holding my order. No heads up, no notices, nothing till that point. I was asked if it was ok, I told no, but what can I say. Ok WAIT FOR THE GOOD PART.
My previous orders was shipped after 8 days and I was aware of the fact that small businesses do not always have good customer service and let it go. Than I gave my third order and waited for 2 days, then I sent an e-mail telling that "please do not hold my order, ship whatever you can." this times I recieved the response in 24 hours, saying that "due to excessive complaint, we cancelled your acount and order". Honest to God, I only said "no, it is not ok, but what can I say" No further comments.
As a conclusion, I am very dissatisfied with them, they caused me to loose some business and have the arrongance tto tell I complaint a lot. I have yet to see or hear something like that before. "
"When I came across this store, I was (and still am) amazed by the prices and selection. I knew right away that I was going to make an order. After building my cart up with a bunch of electronics, including a gearhead motor and a bunch of LEDs. I placed my order. I received everything 9 days later. It all came in great condition, and none of my order was missing. Everything worked to my expectations. My only complaint about this store is the shipping was slow (and a bit pricey). Although, I'm sure if it wasn't shipped all the way across the US, it would have been quicker. The store is located in Arizona, and I live in Vermont... quite a long way for a ground USPS package to go.
Overall, I will recommend this store to my friends, and I will probably be making another purchase down the road. Although, it will be for parts I dont need right away.
Oh, and for anybody making an order over $20, check out the "FREE Gift Coupons" section. I noticed these after my order (doh!)."
"Ordered learn to solder kits from them. They were shipped immediately as far as I can tell. Came in box well protected by paper. Instructions are well done and descriptive. The first learn to solder kit was a little vague with telling you exactly how to do it, but its not that hard, and the first one is non functioning anyway. Kits work as advertised. Very pleased with and would buy from again."
"Great price. Limited products (lots of common items were out of stock) Expensive shipping (starts at $7). No tracking info given. No notification when your order is shipped. Confusing website layout and product info. Two different items would have the same description. They only differ if you drill down to details. Customer service refused to replace my item because "it's my mistake" even though the web site was at fault. I would not buy from them again."
"I've ordered here a couple of times and it's turned out fine each time, and I feel like I've gotten some pretty good deals. The orders have been filled accurately, and there haven't been any big unpleasant surprises in terms of the type and quality of the items. They don't send a tracking number, but they do seem to get the orders out in a reasonable time.
The one thing to think twice about are the "GoldPaks" and other assortments where they offer, like "12 mini switches" or "50 linear ICs" without listing specific switches or ICs. It's not that they're being deceptive or underhanded--they spell things out clearly in their descriptions--and when I ordered a few of these assortments I knew exactly what I was getting into, and got nothing more or less than I was promised.
In some cases it turned out well, like the small collection of DIP switches. Other cases were so-so--for instance the collection of small potentiometers was great for the price, except that they don't include the hardware (they're upfront about this) and it turns out to be almost impossible to find replacements for some of them (this part they don't mention). The one case that struck me as outright dumping was the 4 ground fault protection chips in the linear IC collection--it doesn't take much thought to realize that these have no place in a generic collection and very very few people will have any use for them.
The basic question about these kinds of things is whether you can trust the vendor to at least try to put together a useful collection. With this company I'd say the answer is, well, sort of, as long as they don't have too much leeway. I don't think they're worse than other places in this regard--probably better than most.
Anyways, if you see stuff you want on their site, I wouldn't hesitate to order.

"i ordered quite a bit from them, all merchandise was 100% as described and in perfect new condition. the only thing that wasn't as described is the soldering iron i got is rated as 30 watts, instead of the mentioned 25 watts on the website. i don't count this as a bad thing though because i prefer 30 watts to 25.
the only beef i have with this company is the fact that i ordered january 15th and had to wait until january 24th before my order actually came in. i guess that isn't _that_ bad, but it would have been nicer for a more prompt delivery. i also was not provided a tracking number for my product, it just magically appeared one day.
one last thing, the online order checking thing while existant was quite crappy. it did not even list each development of your order, only its current stage in a small text based description with no further details about the process.
overall, the down sides were much less than the ups. the prices i saw here were atleast 50% less than all other places i've checked. for prices like that, i don't mind having to wait for delivery, heh."

"I normally don't like to complain, but I purchased a large lot number of copper clad boards from this company and found them to be totally unusable on arrival. They had blackened areas all over them and were not as described. So I called The Electronic Goldmine and asked them about it, they told me that the boards were as described and would not allow me to ship them back nor would they give me a refund. If these boards had been described as unusable I would not have bought them. Highly Dissatisfied."
"Good place to get LEDs for front-of-case mods. Other sites carry the "water clear" super-bright LEDs, that are FAR too bright to be there! They have several "less than super-bright" colored lens LEDs that are perfect.
Ordering from them was easy, prices were very reasonable ($1 per LED, blue 3mm), shipping was fast via USPS (order placed 5/20, here on 5/22), packing was excellent (they also included a printed catalog!) However, emails to them have not been answered; so, I give them an 8 out of 10."
