Ebooks.com mislead me to buy DRM protected ebooks

"Ebooks.com mislead me to buy DRM…
Ebooks.com mislead me to buy DRM protected books.

DRM ebooks is a damaged good. It prevents you from doing what would be possible without it. And they refuse to refund me.

Do not buy from them. You will be very disappointed when you need customer service.

Just love it!

"I am a book-worm who is always hungry for new books and platforms that let me read good books. Accessing e-books is pretty easy and I loved the collection of books there. Would definitely recommend it. It would be great if they try and reduce prices. "

Just terrible

"Amazing how this website made something as simple as buying an ebook and transfering it to an e-reader so incredibly hard. It starts off with having to download this extra program called Adobe Digital Editions, which is not really what I wanted but alright. After this you have to make an account to authorize your computer, because that clearly isn't enough you have to authorize your e-reader as well. That is if this program recognizes your e-reader in the first place, which it doesn't with my Sony device. The trouble shooting they supply on the website isn't of much help either and describes the whole process in 3 easy steps and tells you to contact the support team if your device doesn't show up. I mean, come on guys, I just want to read a book on my e-reader. Highly disappointed in this website and would not recommend for the life of me."

I would not recommend eBooks for college students

"Do not purchase a book from eBooks.com if you are a college student relying on the ability to take notes, copy links, print pages, navigate through the book with ease, textbooks purchased from eBooks are limited in these abilities. The pdf file is only accessible through Adobe Digital Editions software which is primitive compared to other software like Amazon Kindle. My experience with eBooks is as follows:

I am a college student. I purchased a pdf version of a textbook from eBooks. I was not going to purchase this book when I learned that it could not be used with Amazon Kindle Fire, but when I read that I would be able to print, I decided to make the purchase. After purchasing the textbook from eBook, I learned that I had to download Adobe Digital Edition to read the textbook. After downloading the software I went to print the first chapter of the book to take with me to read during my travels, only to learn that you are only able to print 10 pages per month. So I am forced to only read while I am at home on my computer.

The Adobe Digital Edition is software is lacking the tools that I am accustomed to with Amazon Kindle. The only way to advance pages is to continuously tap the "line down" arrow, which is time-consuming. Taking notes is difficult, and I have not yet found how to retrieve the notes that I was able to take.

I would not recommend a college student to purchase a pdf version of a book from eBooks.

"I needed an ebook for my summer college class. Purchasing an ebook is my first choice over a traditional text book. I checked all over the Internet to make sure I wasn't going to get scammed, so I took the gamble and purchase my ebook. I didn't get scammed at all. I paid $9.99, I was charged $9.99. There are some old reviews of people saying they were unable to receive their ebook. I was able to receive mines 100% fine because technology these day is properly implemented compared to many years ago. I didn't have to pay state sales tax on the order. They email me a copy of my receipt. I didn't use customer service because I didn't need help in making my order. I look forward to purchasing again here for Fall 2014.

You should check the version number to make sure you are purchasing the right one. The version or edition varies on different ebook stores.
