Complete Joke

"After waiting 10 weeks I sent another email which I did get a response to that they were being made that day. Ofcourse only cause I emailed again.

When they arrived a few days later they were wrong of course. They were right color but no checkering which was extra. Now it is almost a month later & no response to my multiple emails.

Got better service from the gentleman in Vietnam i bought my S&W grips from & he is half way across the world. Consumers you can do better they lost considerably business from me & my customers. Dont let Eagle Grips wrong you.....order else where

No Grips Ever Supplied

"Grips were ordered and paid for in full 06/2020. Slow dispatch of 10 weeks. No assistance to locate missing package from either Eagle Grips or USPS. All I receive from Eagle Grips is their request to complete a survey on their Grips which is hard when i have not received them. AVOID DEALING WITH EAGLE GRIPS USE ANOTHER GRIP SUPPLIER."

Smooth Rosewood on Charter Arms .38

"Rosewood Secret Service grips + Charter Arms .38

I cannot believe just how beautiful these grips are for my Charter Arms .38 Special. For years I always put those high grade rubber grips on all my wheel guns just because someone told me that was the only way to carry a wheel gun. They never seemed to reduce "felt recoil" to me. And they always seemed loose in my grip too. Besides making every wheel gun I own look ugly. I actually know the ex-head of the Presidential Detail of the Secret Service and he said that his people used a special wooden grip on all their backup wheel guns. He told me about Eagle Grips and my search was ended. My snubbie disappears on my ankle or in my pocket now. My groups are tight and on target. The gun is now an extension of my hand, with a natural point of aim. I understand completley
why he swares by them! They turned a functional, flat black and ugly piece of steel into a beautiful and highly prized everyday carry. This is something that gives me great confidence in my choice of what will defend me and my loved ones.

Since 71' it shows.

"So these guys have been around. And like any older company. They are a little old fashioned. Yeah it means they are a bit slow on production. But they also answer the phones themselves. Not something like a computer or other thing where you never talk to a living person. They are just guys, and as just ordinary human guys like me. I've given them the benefit of the doubt when my order was a little late. I wasn't disappointed. The quality was excellent and more than worth what I paid for my grips."

If I did business the way Eagle Grips does business, I would be out of business

"I have never written an online review of any product or company, but my experience with Eagle Grips was so horrible that I felt compelled to let others know about it, so that they could be forewarned about doing business with this company.

On December 22, 2018, I placed an online order for right-hand grips for my wife’s Ruger. In February 2019, I received left-hand grips. I immediately phoned Eagle Grips to advise them about their mistake. They confirmed within their system that indeed I had ordered right-hand grips (even the packing slip that came in the package with the left-hand grips indicated “RH” for right-hand). They said that they would reorder the right-hand grips for me and stated that when they ultimately shipped the right-hand grips to me, they would include a prepaid return envelope and asked me to use it to return to them the left-hand grips that they had erroneously shipped to me. I agreed.

When I did not receive the right-hand grips by March 14th, I phoned Eagle Grips to ask about the status of my order. I was told that the grips had been shipped to the wrong address, but that they had been returned to Eagle Grips, that they were being shipped out to me at the correct address “that very day” and that I should expect delivery within 2-3 days. What annoyed me at that point was that because of their second error, shipping my order to the wrong address, my shipment obviously would be delayed, but no one from Eagle Grips had the courtesy to call me to explain the delay. I had to call them to find out what was going on with my order.

Eleven days later, on March 25th, again I phoned Eagle Grips because I still had not received the right-hand grips. I was told that the grips had not yet been shipped, as previously represented, but that again, they were going out “that very day” and that I should receive them within 2-3 days.

By April 1st, still not having received the grips, I phoned again to inquire about the shipment. You probably have guessed the response by now. Yes, the grips were still at the Eagle Grips facility and yes, again I was told that they were being shipped out “that very day” and should arrive within 2-3 days. This time though, I actually was given a tracking number. By this point, the situation had become so ridiculous that I was beginning to wonder if someone was playing an “April Fool’s joke” on me or if I had been transformed into the Tom Hanks character in “Groundhog Day”.

So, now it is four days later and still no right-hand grips have arrived at my house. I checked the tracking number and “a package” (no guarantee that such package contains right-hand grips for a Ruger) is somewhere in Florida. Who knows how long this “package” will take to get to me or if it ever will. I don’t live anywhere near Florida.

Finally, after all the “run around” that I got, the poor customer service, lack of attention to detail, the repeated delays and lies about shipment and delivery, one would think that the company management would have attempted to make things right by at least offering me a discount off the purchase price of the product to account for their employees’ actions, failures to act and poor judgment, but no, that is not the case. So I ask you, “Would you want to do business with this company?” I will never do business with them again and will not recommend them to anyone. Indeed, I would advise anyone to avoid doing business with them entirely. Frankly, I don’t know how they stay in business!

take your business elsewhere

"I ordered my first set of Heritage grips in 2013. They shipped right away and the wood grain matched up between both panels. I was very happy with them and recommended them to everyone that I knew could use them.

My second set I ordered in 2014. There was no indication on the site that they were out of stock, but they did not ship for two months and only after multiple emails. The medallions I paid $35 extra for were not at all like the real S&W medallions which were set from the inside of the panel, but a small piece glued into the grip that fell out after recoil knocked them loose. The grain from the wood did not match up between panels either, which isn't a big deal but was a disappointment compared to the earlier set. The price was increased again in that time, but the quality was worse by comparison.

I bought my third set almost a year ago, and I am still waiting for them to ship my order or refund my payment. Again there was nothing on the site to indicate they were out of stock. Eagle Grips has not responded to any of my emails, and the only message I got from them was a request to review this product. As of this writing the page notes: Please allow at least 2-4 weeks for delivery. Expect to wait a year if they ever ship at all.

If you are looking for a reproduction coke bottle grip, you are better off ordering from Keith Brown if you actually don't mind a longer wait. If you don't have that kind of patience and want a nice set from a web site that is honest about their availability, order Karl Nill grips from MacTec sales. There is no good reason to buy from Eagle Grips anymore.

"This review is for the Eagle Grips level of customer service experience I have had recently. The grips quality of feel and finish are just OK comparing to my the Ahrends and Collins Craft grips I own.

Place an online order for the Heritage Grips for my Smith & Wesson N-frame 629. Customer service shot me an email asking if I want to have the S&W medallions installed for additional $35. A tad pricey but what the hay? Gave them the go ahead. Waited for about 2 weeks for the grips to arrived and that was when disappointment set in. What do you know? A plain grips were sent.

Peachy.

Fired back an email to customer service and asked for a swap. No problem, 'customer service' said, you just need to send the original grips back - of course on my expense. I kindly asked Eagle Grips to go ahead and ship me a replacement one with the medallions installed and in the mean time, I'll ship the
plain grips back. Customer service's reply: 'No, you need to ship the old ones back to us first.'

Peachy plus.

Thanks for the fine customer service support, fellas. First you made a mistake with my original order (which I have in writing) and refused to ship me a replacement unit with the specs I ordered to rectify your mistake and I now have to go through the trouble of shipping the unit back and waited for God knows how long for it to be shipped back to me AND I still have to pay for the overpriced
$35 fee?

Sorry bandito, but you just lost your future sales and business.

Folks, if you're looking for quality of products and good customer service to dress up your companion piece, Eagle Grips is not a place for you.

One star for saying sorry on your email, though.
