"Our daughter was enrolled prior to and through the transition from Tutor Time to Everbrook Academy. Our daughter received an excellent education for being so young. During her 1 1/2 years, she picked up sign language and verbal skills that have helped us at home. The Grow with Me app has been an excellent tool to keep parents updated during the day. The programming, curriculum and facilities are hard to beat. We appreciate all that has been done for our daughter during our time. The only suggestions to work on are communication between staff from shift to shift. There were times an issue may have transpired during the morning and the afternoon staff couldn't explain what occurred. Also, we had a hard time adjusting our schedule as our schedules changed."

"The experience with the change to Everbrook hasn't gone well. It was under communicated, we were essentially lied to about the cost increasing (it increase within 8 weeks of the change to Everbrook). he facility was filthy - promises were not kept (where is the binary wall talked about so much at the curriculum night, creature habitats?). It doesn't feel genuine or sincere. It feels like a new paint job to be able to charge more money. The facility needed new toys and to be cleaned. For the cost I would say the quality is pretty low in comparison to other local facilities - specifically with the high teacher change over."

"It has been just ok. We have had 3 excellent teachers (one which left) and that’s from infant to preschool. The preschool classroom has one teacher that kids love and does the lessons and plays (but doesn’t communicate with parents). The co-teacher rarely interacts with the kids. She is always cleaning, preparing food or on laptop during nap (not sending out updates or photos though). I would expect to know what my child is learning, so I can focus on that too at home and what is going good or issues or concerns there are. The director acts like she has never heard half the issues. It had to be parents repeatedly advocating for their children and bullying in the classroom to get action to be done. Even then, the bullying is still happening. She blames the child and the age and not address the issues. The classroom is a mess, unorganized and no structure. No wonder we are always missing things that my child says he put away and where, yet they aren’t there."

"Love Tutor Time and the teachers at the Ann Arbor location. However, I would really love if the during the day events would stop- mothers day, fathers day, halloween, etc. We are paying for child care because my husband and I have to work. These during the day activities mean we either have to take time off or miss them. Complete guilt trip for missing the event and my child doesn't have someone there or take time off of work that can't be used later for family time. Please stop these events."

"I’m not always certain that the teachers like my child. He has a hard time at drop off and tells me often that he doesn’t want to go to school. When I observe on watch me grow, it seems like a lot of chaos with children running around. His teacher mentioned to me on more than one occasion that the kids had a “bad” day. She seems overwhelmed. There is tension when I drop my child off - almost as if they don’t want him there. I also never observe the teachers doing learning activities at table time. It mostly looks like they passively let kids play with toys without teacher input. My child does not have a designated space for his coat and I had to ask repeatedly for his teachers to label his cubby. These things aid with reading readiness. I would think they would know how important it is. Classroom displays seem like they haven’t been changed or used in a long time and kids’ artwork isn’t always labeled with their name, so I don’t know if my child made one. Many missing ECE best practice"

"Love the school. But lots of turnover with staff recently. Communication is not great--different stories from teachers and late notice for some events."

"In 6 years I have never left my kids with anyone but grandparents and their elementary school/preschool. I felt so safe and confident in the care offered at Tutor Time. Thank you, I wish I had found you sooner as I could have really used a break these last 6 years!!!"

"I had a very horrible experience with tutors time last year when the new director came. My daughter went to tutor time for 6 months since she was 18 months until she was almost 2 years . She was doing fine , she had many friends, her teachers loved her. But she was going through the crazy phase of the 2 years old where she didn’t want to share toyes . And incidents use to happen when she and other kids would fight over toyes. Everytime an incident happened I used to talk with the teachers and they would assure me that it is a phase that 2 years old go through and that it is all alright. Until the new director came she invited me to meet with her and in a very rude way she started to talk about my daughter as if she was a monster , And she told me that if any incident were to happen my daughter will be out. After she finished her talk I told her that I’m a single mom and i go to school and that there was no one to help me, and I told her exactly I understand if you do not want my daughter to come to the school , but just give me one or two weeks to find another place because it is difficult to find another daycare and I do not have anyone to help. Her responce was “the next time your daughter do anything I will not wait until the end of the day , I will call you immediately to come pick her up”. The next day she called me and told me the most hurtful things about my daughter and then concluded your daughter didn’ do anything that make her leave the school today but next time when she does I ‘ll call you to come pick her up. However , when I went to pick her up that day they told me your daughter need to leave . They put me through a very difficult situation they caused me a lot of pain I went out of there crying that day and they did not even care. "

"Generally, concerns are heard quickly. The school is responsive. Until recently, some concerns seemed to fall on deaf ears. Lately, it has become much better and concerns seem to be addressed better."

"In general, i like it. The staff there is very nice and care about the kids. That is the most important thing."
