Their website doesn't alert you that 95% of the products are out of stock, nor do the employees who answer the phone when you call to speak to someone.Its all a sham. I placed an order Nov. 1st and after 10 days I'd still be waiting on my items to arrive if I hadn't canceled my order. We'll see how long it takes them to post the refund to my acct. I had an abysmal experience with ordering online. They should not have an online store if they cannot manage to keep anything in stock. This is absurd. They also provided zero follow up when the product I was waiting to ship when "indefinitely out of stock" - they blamed the distributor and recommended a refund. They were not helpful at all in helping me find it anywhere else. It was a gift that I ordered rush, and they did nothing to warn me that I would be waiting such a long time without hearing from them.

Not to mention, they still have it listed online as for sale when they still tell me it's indefinitely out of stock.

"like any number of others here, i found the overall process of ordering from the website really frustrating. i was looking for a bottle of absinthe to send as a gift. i chose overnight shipping so it would get there quickly. however, the particular absinthe i'd chosen turned out not to be available, and by the time i had chosen another, it was too late to overnight it.
so--i agreed on a delivery for the following day, which was friday. the company sent me an e mail saying that they'd shipped the bottle off via fedex and it would indeed arrive on friday. however, when fedex sent me the package tracking number, the absinthe was scheduled for delivery on the following tuesday, making the total delivery time for my package five days.
i wrote and called the company to complain. no one returned the call but i got an e mail saying that unfortunately fedex had made a mistake and nothing could be done. the company offered to refund the difference between the overnight shipping fee and a regular shipping fee. that was it. very little in the way of an apology--just basically, "sorry, nothing we can do."
i'm very dissatisfied. though their online alcohol selection is interesting, i would not use this company to order from in future. "

"Well, after reading three pages of reviews, I don't really have anything new to add. I placed the order, a week later no shipping confirmation so I finally read their FAQ page and noticed they require four days to prepare shipment. That makes no sense, given it's almost 2014... But anyway, it had been seven days so I emailed asking for status update. They said it would be mailed out on Tuesday (this was Sunday by now). I ordered this item for Christmas, which was less than a week away. I was outraged. Sent another email explaining my frustration, hoping they would offer free expedited shipping so it could arrive on time or whatever and they simply said they were really rushed due to holidays. Well, Tuesday comes and goes and still no shipping confirmation, so I email again and once again I get the same excuse. Only this time, they say it will be shipping out the day after Christmas. Thank you so, so much drinkupny for making me look like an ass who brought no Christmas gift for her boyfriend's family. Fantastic job.

By the way, this means it will have taken THREE WEEKS between placing the order and the item arriving. Two whole weeks to actually ship it out. Pathetic! If they had offered a discount on my next order or expedited shipping to make up for the shitty service, it would have changed everything. This review would have been a LOT different. "

"Constantly selling things they don't actually have in stock and as a result holding the order in "processing" so that you can't make changes or cancel. Then, a few weeks later, or if you have to call them you find out they can't fulfill your order and will refund you the money, hopefully you see it in a week."

"DO NOT ORDER ON LINE with these folks. It took 8 days to fill an order that would have to have been delivered much sooner. This was a gift that needed to arrive over a 10 day period yet by the time they got around to shipping it was too late. They claim that the wait was noted in their FAQ and who reads FAQs when you do a simple order online? Now I missed the period in which to send something to the individual (an embarrassment) and had to pay the cost to ship back and forth (an annoyance if you hate shelling out money and getting zero for it). If the Company knew what good customer service meant, it would have absorbed the shipping charges and sent a coupon for a discount. They would have had a long term customer, instead they just have one more party advising everyone to GO ELSEWHERE"

"A few days after placing an order with drinkupny.com fraudulant charges began appearing on my credit card from all around the area where they are located. I live in Louisiana. All of the fraudualnt charges are coming from New York and New Jersey."
